- While we’ve seen teams fall and others move on, we’ve got one more edition of the NHL Playoffs being out of control for round 1. From flat out strange sequences where Vancouver was brought back out for .6 seconds of a period, hilarious fans caught on camera to heartbroken fans in Toronto, levelling hits from players and even officials hitting Brad Marchand?! We saw a crazy amount of glitch goals off the boards and while things can get tense in the post season, Canucks JT Miller kept it light stealing Silovs shirt in warmups! A lot has happened and there is once again plenty to talk about. I cover it all in todays NHL hockey video!

Just curious why you mad at him for shouting out to his fans? In the states hockey players are not celebrated like they do the NFL and MLB or NBA. In Canada we treat our hockey players like gods.. what's so difficult to understand? Who would rather play in a city where no one recognizes you out in public? when you can play in a city where of you go out in public people tell you how great you are and that they love you? You are acting like he said he was a god. His quote said they are treated like gods.. You must be an American that doesn't truly know how much Canadians love our hockey and the players who play the game.

Well now that we’re seeing how good a team can be after going seven in a tough series vs a well rested team I feel slightly worried for my Avs
Well, at least the Leafs have won the cup. I live in Vancouver. The Cruds oops, that should be Canucks have never won the cup in over 50 years in the league, that's got to be some sort of sports record for futility. Luckily, the other sports teams that I followed were all league champions at one point or another. I had seasons tickets for the New Westminster Bruins and then the Vancouver Giants in Major Junior Hockey, both teams won their league and national championships. I also had seasons tickets for the Vancouver Burrards lacrosse team and watched them win 2 Mann Cup victories.
No offense to the Toronto fans, but if you want to see a real run at the Cup then pray for an expansion team in Oshawa or Mississauga that will funnel off some of that long line of people waiting for Leaf season tickets and will also make it into the playoffs and win a couple of series.. That would force the owners of the Leafs to really put in the effort to fix the Leafs problems and make them a winner so that they don't become irrelevant. There is no reason on Earth why the fans should have to wait 57 years for a knock at the door, but right now there is no incentive for the owners to do anything.........so they don't. I'm not a Leafs fan, but I think you all have waited way too darned long and I am pulling for you guys. Every year now I keep hoping for you to win.

@@Joe-ic3oe Players have done crazier feats from playing with broken feet (Erik Karlsson) to playing with a collapsed lung (Patrice Bergeron). Also let's not forget that pressure to recover from an injury quicker than normal is what causes most players to retire prematurely. If they sustain a difficult injury early in their career, they then have to get back in action as soon as possible because they put the team first over themselves nearly every time because of media pressure or coaching pressure.

And context matters: Marner said the fans treat "them" as gods. In other words, the whole team, not just him. However, I do think it was a comment made tongue-in-cheek to the media and fans to stop doing that.

Ignoring the win-loss numbers his stats are amazing. The announcer summed it up tonight when the score was 4-1...& I'm paraphrasing...considering Swayman hasn't let in more than 2 goals a game this should be a win for the Bruins. Yup...called it.

rempe's just out here trying to have some fun and play the sport, doesnt help that the refs have their whistles halfway to their mouths the second he steps on the ice. im not trying to say hes done nothing wrong in the playoffs, but theyre definitely calling against him. just look at that goalie interference they called in game 1. stall clearly throws the check that forces him into anderson, but the refs dont even think about it, they just know that rempe was on the ice and the goalie was down. let the kid play
