Typical shit DTG Loco but I'll get the route and run the good ones on it. Thanks for the video
So basically: Route looks nice and well detailed, stock is mostly pretty meh or low tier, sounds are same old trash from +5 years ago. Like any NA product, always wise to wait for a sale later in the year. At least now we have a nice modern northeastern route.
Pretty much , glad we got the region though
These sounds date back to fricken 2004 in Trainz.
I model this line in N scale. Interesting to see the sub get this kind of attention. If you have any questions about prototype ops etc, ask away
Its def got character
Hey nerd, I didn't even realize they had this route. I live here 😂 gotta check this bad boy out.
I live near Hagerstown. Spend alot of time watching trains on this line, especially Highfield. Looks pretty accurate for a game.
I live in Pen-Mar and was blown away how accurate the scenery and route layout is
the scenery is OK, locomotives look like recycled from 2012 with generic sounds and non-functioning half of control switches (typical DTG copy-paste from release to release)
NICE overview of an amazing route! Evidently our friend Gary Dolzall knows how to build routes as well as create scenarios! Yeah, I'm buying it right now! Thanks to you, Gary and everyone else involved! Now, I'm anxiously waiting for the WM pack to be released! :-)
Since the SD40-2/3 are just really meh looking, I put a searchlight simulations horn into the Dash8, and then I use a CSX reskin of the searchlight simulations SD40-2s if needed. Makes it a lot better lol
Definitely, ive already swapped some JR/SS stuff in. Nice to have ol square head tho for a.i. if anything
is there CSX repaint for JR SD40-2?
@@awaken77 TruRail Simulations did a pack of CSX SD40-2s in the 8800 series (ex CR). Requires the NS SD40-2 pack from Searchlight as a base.
@@awaken77 there are several, just gotta have the appropriate stock. Railworks America has some, check out TruRailSimultion as well
I can walk to that CSX yard in Hanover from my house lol. This is me checking out my neighborhood virtually.
Awesome! I live near this line!
Route looks good for being DTG. The model is alright, cab is somewhat accurate. Sidesill I'm pretty sure is incorrect though, irl they have E-bells, and usually (correct me if I'm wrong) a 3rd gen K5LA
Railfan_fox DTG didn’t make this route. High Iron Simulations made it.
@@MattsTrainArchive Yeah, I figured that one out after a bit of looking into it. DTG doesn't usually do all the best routes in my opinion
Totally agree with you - fantastic route. Thanks for showing it off.
28:03 realest dude to ever do it 🫡
Once again thanks for the review. Decided to grab this in the current Steam sale. I mean the Steam reviews are very positive, with a few caveats about the train assets but seeing the route demonstrated in this and your other clips clinched it. Was either £12.49 for this or £12.99 for the TSW one handled Class 380 EMU - no contest really. Might even give the Berkshire and H9 steamers a run along it later.
Definitely getting this one! Thanks for the overview!
I actually live in Gettysburg... most of this scenery doesn't look anything like it.
😂damn Forman Dan Hernandez that sumbitch 😂does get around train hor Hernandez 😂 that wuz the best part of the video lol
how do you get the really good hd graphics
Just railworks enhancer with the armstrong powerhouse sky pack 😃
I mean, if ur gonna make real life train routes, at least have the decency to make the scenery look right.
New map? for TS2020?
yes if you have been up to date with news
I bought the CSX heavy haul one and it’s very laggy if you bought it to, how do you make it not laggy also the fact that I don’t play on Xbox.
I wonder if a SD40-3 will come to TSW now
Who knows, if one does hope the sounds are better 😉
The textures are definitely 4k and the bogies on freight cars are much better quality than few years back. Sounds remain the same ☹
why the graphics are too bad
This is done buy a 3rd party; High Iron Simulation, so it has a bit more quality to it. Too bad that didn't extend to the loco sounds.
Commenting as I watch so I’ll probably comment again haha, but to comment on what I’ve seen so far, the route is very accurate! The police station was actually the old WM train station, the track was elevated above it towards the end of the steam era. It is now the actual police station. The spur in the beginning towards the bottom of the Wye was the WM Roundhouse, long gone sadly. Biggest roundhouse on the WM system and was the main shops for rebuilding the massive steamers. Also housed B&O and Reading locomotives
It sucks how often DTG and even some third party devs put out something that had potential to be great and exciting, then they ruin it with poor quality models and sounds with lots of bugs that remain broken.
pretty cool knowing I live in Hagerstown pass the yard just about every day and now seeing it in this game is pretty awesome. Need some WM steam now.
For $40 I’m not getting this. The route is great and pretty accurate but the engines are garbage.
I have spent much of my life in Hagerstown this actually looks good for a vg
Thanks for the review!
Well, more like "overview" 😉
Ayyy, this is my local line
Ah so you'll have that eye for detail then. Nice.
Schnauzahpowahz yep, and I can say after I bought, and looked around this thing, they got it sooooo wrong
@@Kmaster2007 how so?
@@schnauzahpowahz there are a ton of missing details/buildings, over all it is fair, but like the GP9 in Hagerstown is supposed to be a Baldwin switcher
Awesome iama get this route
nice
