It was! This was probably my single favorite trail outing that I've done. I wish that we'd had time to do Cinnamon Pass also, but we got started late and didn't want to die up there after dark!
I’m glad you enjoyed Engineer. I have to say your footage is Epic! I haven’t seen footage this remarkable for Engineer and I can’t wait to check out your other adventures. If you get back out to Colorado, I’d be honored to join you on the Alpine Loop
Thanks! That's quite the compliment considering some of the epic videos on here of Engineer! A return trip IS going to happen. I'm working on nailing down a time to make a return trip out there in '24. I'm glad that you suggested Engineer to us!
Oh I was planning trail trips from the moment that I signed the agreement to go to SEMA. I was actually going to hit Cinnamon Pass, but I took someone's recommendation to go to Engineer instead. Now I've got to get busy editing the other trail video from the trip!
Thanks! You won't regret going! As for the snow, Engineer was pretty much snow-free until the very top. As we were nearing the top, we could see considerable snow that looked like it was in the area that we had to go to, if we kept going past Engineer. It was part of our decision to go back down the way we came. We didn't feel like making the news that night!
Colorado is Gods country.
It truly is.
the alpine loop has been on my bucket list as well for a long time. hopefully i'll make it out there one day.
I hope that you're able to make your bucket list trip happen one day. I'm hoping to make a return trip out there myself.
I think you made the right call not trying the rest after dark!
So do I. I had a bad feeling that we would have made the news if we'd kept going.
I hope you make it back. Id love to see you do Imogene or Black Bear
I'm in the early stages of planning a trip back in '24.
that drone footage was fantastic
Thanks 👍
Dude. Is that even real? I can't fathom that scenery!
I know right? I was like a little kid constantly saying "woowww".
Great video! Subbed!
Thanks for the sub!
I don't understand how you don't have 100k+ subscribers. Most underrated overland channel on youtube.
Thanks! Maybe some day!
definitely feel the same. Should have way more subs. Just sub'd and liked myself.
Thanks! Help spread the word! With people like you all supporting the channel, how can it fail?
I really need to get out west.
That's what I've been saying for years. Just make a plan and go! You won't regret it! I'm definitely going back in 2024
@DefiantOffroad Working on the plan for next year.
That drone footage is mindblowing
Thanks! It doesn't do it justice though!
Man, you got to do the alpine loop? That had to be epic! I hope to get out there one day.
It was! This was probably my single favorite trail outing that I've done. I wish that we'd had time to do Cinnamon Pass also, but we got started late and didn't want to die up there after dark!
i love it❤
Thanks!!
You finally made it away from the east coast! Great video!
Thanks! It was way overdue. I'm definitely going to make a trip back.
Nice video, Wes. Some great footage!
Thanks, Mark! Wait...who is Wes? 🤣
Oops, sorry, Will. Gosh, I hope that's right!

Great video! you'll have to hit imogene one day!
Thanks! That's definitely happening next year.
That area around Ouray and Silverton is AMAZING been there mutable times can't wait to go back ❤
I hadn't been out there in 25 years, and it was the first time that I've gone with a Jeep. I HAVE to go back!!
Killer video! I've been subbed for a while, and your videos keep getting better and better!
Thanks! I've still got so much more to learn though!
Its unfortunate that you didnt have time to complete the entire loop. Maybe next time?
Next time indeed!
I went out there with my parents when I was a kid. I remember it being pretty amazing, but WOW!
I actually lived in Denver briefly in the late 90's. I remember the scenery being rather striking, but yeah, WOW is exactly right.
I was wondering if we'd see an "out west" video from you when I saw you were headed to SEMA. Great job!

@@DefiantOffroad I saw on IG that you hit Moab also. Is that the other video?
Yep! Top of the World!
Awesome video! I gotta get out there one day! I'm surprised at the lack of snow.
