Brian May - Backstage Interview (Live Aid 1985)

Queen performed at Live Aid in front of 72,000 people in Wembley Stadium, London on the 13th July, 1985. Here’s Brian May being interviewed backstage. The event was organised by Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for the Ethiopian famine disaster. Broadcast across the world via one of the largest satellite link-ups of all time, the concerts were seen by around 40% of the global population.

And considering that I've hardly done anything else than watching Queen-videos for the past year :D, I was surprised I hadn't come across it yet as it's linked to the famous LiveAid. 1:33 He suddenly seems a bit embarassed about his shirt because of the interviewer's completely pointless remark, yet he chose to wear the very same one for the performance, didn't even take his backstage pass of. :-) I think he's just cool. Those casual looks the four of them rocked in the mid 80's concerts just fitted them so well.

Paula was talking GENERALLY, as AN EXAMPLE of what "performers might regret looking back" - that is what they were discussing at that point. She didn't mean Brian personally....but you can understand how easily she might have been misconstrued, and in fact Brian instinctively looked at his shirt, showing that he probably did misunderstand her....
