Sounds daft but I have terminal cancer and the joy I get from this video is priceless. We don't have two pennies to rub together, but I'm so lucky to live by the coast where there is nobody about in the winter and I can step 100 yards from my back door and there is nothing but the atlantic ocean and cliffs, seabirds, seals and storms. And in the summer I sit in my tiny back garden with bees and butterflies and birdsong for an hour and feel brand new again. Nothing like a bit of solo nature to make you feel like the luckiest person in the whole world. Wouldn't trade where I am in life right now for anything.

I don't work anymore. Thankfully I have someone to take care of me. I hate the rat race and being a slave to the system. I do what I want, when I want. I love to garden and sit on my patio which overlooks a cool view of the city down below. As a plus, I live in San Diego- nicest weather in the world! God is good! I hope everyone can experience this freedom. Blessings to you, Tim and to all!

I'm stuck in this life, almost no joy. I feel stuck. Its fun to go on a road trip... But it's unsustainable to always do it. Maybe if I had more money I'd do it full time.

My favorite place is the ocean. I love watching sea birds and the wide variety of animals.
I can hear the bird’s chirping. So beautiful! My Why is because I enjoy traveling and experiencing all this world has to offer me. This world is such a beautiful creation. Even just taking a walk in nature, looking at the wildlife, touching the leaves and seeing the squirrels chase each other, brings me so much peace and joy.

I am the happiest when alone, where nothing is happening.
Im sitting in the shade, drinking coffee and watching the butterflies. Later I will paddle board through the lily pads and watch the wildlife, ill lay in my hammock and read, ill take an evening hike, I'll sit by a campfire. Tomorrow I may or may not go home. I traded a higher income for this. Living. Not one single regret

Being around people has a high probability of creating drama.
Yes! Nothing better than an hour or two in nature to reset ones brain completely. My favorite things are hiking and beach walking. Anytime I'm out in nature, I feel so happy, and it also sparks my sense of curiosity. My inner child comes out and I get really giddy over all the little things like a fat bumblebee bumbling in a bright pink flower or a slug slowly oozing across the trail or a sea anemone in a tide pool. I completely understand why you've chosen that lifestyle. It may not be glamorous on a work day, but those moments exploring nature sure do make up for the tough times!

A few hours with a view like that would be enough to recharge me for at least 2-3 weeks.
I'd do it for that scenery as well. Unfortunately, Florida is WAY too hot. I don't need anything to be happy. Nature is enough.
- I agree Tim. I love when there is no place I have to be, nothing going on, no requirement put on me. I love a mindful walk in nature. It definitely reminds you how insubstantial most of your worries were. It gives you a mental reset.
I don’t even mind sitting on a park bench in a busy city and watch life going on.
The simpler and quieter my life is, the more incandescently happy I am. Where are you now, it's so beautiful! It feels serene and quiet but of course nature is always busy. Just not the kind of busy humans seem to worship. It's bizarre, how people honestly brag a out being busy and look down on you when you clear away the crap and enjoy doing nothing. So backwards.
There are small pieces of heaven here on earth
Providing for my family, reading a good book, going for a nice walk, praising the Lord, camping, having a roof over our heads, eating good food, making sweet love, hanging out with friends and family. That's why I do it.
I'm too worried about running into a bear to go in the mountains alone.
God says to "be still and know that I am God". I love being out in the wilderness and talking to the almighty. Godspeed bro

Hi Tim! I am reading Kaki Okumura’ s book ‘ Wa: The Art of Balance’, and the feeling of refreshment you feel being out near nature and mountains is referred to as “forest bathing” and some doctors in Japan literally prescribe this nature method as if it is a pill. It is medicine and like you said we need that peace and forest bathing is better than a pill😀
My this is why I do it is a form of worship to my God and Lord Jesus.
The ability to enjoy simple things is a real gift.
Nothing = no thing. Everything in relative existence (including our body) has an expiration point. Alcohol just deadens then worsens the pain. Cheers to discovering true power within.
I live in rural southwest central Virginia, and I took a week off after working 2 months nonstop on the road. I stepped out my front door, and all I heard was, birds chirping and a red fox ran into the road, looked at me, and ran back into the woods. So Beautiful and peaceful

Tim have you ever heard of "Thru-hiking"?. Its basically long distance hiking. You should hike The Colorado Trail. It's 500 miles and takes about 25 days and would be the most amazing adventure of your life.

I recently spent half of my holiday pay check on a decent gravel bike, the rest goes into a savings account. Screw expensive vacations this year, i am going for long rides in nature. I am 42 and childfree, and when i got that sleek new bike, i felt myself become enthusiastic over something. Now all that is left to me is to find myself a cabin where i can read Thoreau. Your videos are an example of a person connecting to what they truly want and need, and that can never be a bad thing.

I agree i live by a terrible neighbor, i have to go to work delivering to many shitty dangerous areas. Not satisfying. Its way more peaceful and enjoyable to just be out in nature and enjoy the scenery

I am a 31 year old long term single guy and I recently moved to a new city by myself. I moved to Barcelona in Spain from my hometown near Dublin in Ireland a few months ago. Its been fun but a very hectic few months. You have inspired me to take a solo hike into the mountains this weekend. Urban living and being cooped up in a small apartment all the time grates after a while. The beautiful scenery in your video reminded me I really need to touch some grass :)
