    Thanks.You addressed the power-save very well which is what I was most interested in at the mo. Mine has just arrived. It's still a problem carrying equipment into town unless you want to pay parking fees. £7.50 in England for 2 hours where I live! Cheaper than London though, I guess.

    Thanks guys. I have the street cube, also the AC 33. I wanted to know if the street cube EX sounded with the bass. As soon as I heard you start playing the acoustic, you sold me. Thanks guys!

      +Tony Dean I have the AC33, I have to run it into a bass Rx to get the full spectrum without distortion. And why still AAs? A nice rechargeable/replaceable brick would be much more practical.

    ...nice informative demo- ...i like all the features except I noticed they did not include the Brit /Classic- and a couple of other COSM guitar modeling settings that the previous Street Cube model had .

    i 'm still waiting for the 1st battery powered amplifier with a 10" or 12" speaker- and I only want one speaker- This sure would be a good opportunity for Pignose to step it up and market the 1st 10" or 12"- The reason the Roland Cube Street and EX sound so tinny is because of the 8" speakers- They just can't deliver the full bass spectrum

    So frustrating when you look at these demos. Still can't find a good one for the Cube. With these guys; why on earth did they only demo it with a acoustic guitar?? Not getting a acurate idea of the true sound, obviously the acoustic is bleeding into the mics they're using for their voices. duh?

    • @bettermusic

      Merv Cann Thanks for your feedback. We will look into doing another video with an electric guitar. In regards to the mic bleed, when we edit the videos, we make sure that we mute the vocal mics while they aren't in use so that you get a better representation of the sound of the amplifier. You can hear the slight change in sound when they go from just playing, to then playing while speaking. Hope this helps.

    Hi there, received my new Roland Cube Street Ex the other day. One of the mic inputs has significant hiss. Tried both mic inputs with same mic and lead - one is ok but the other one (the one without the COSM effects) hisses in the background as soon as it gets input. It's like the noise gate opens up and there's a radio quietly playing white noise behind it. Have used two different mic neumann 105 and shure sm7b. Can reduce it a bit by lowering the treble but I have this feeling that I shouldn't have to diminish brightness in the vocals just to cut out background hiss. Not a power issue as it happens on batteries as well. The other mic input I said was ok also hisses if the treble is turned up. Have tried both unbalanced leads and balanced three pin leads. Does anyone know if this is normal for the Street Ex? Thanks for your help.

    Oh by the way,this thing clips at higher volumes too. I would NEVER rely solely on batteries either.The sound degrades after a short while. I will use this until a better product comes onto the market. No choice really.

    Toying with getting one or the AC 30. Obviously more power here but do you know how it is with a Spanish guitar with pickups. I wouldn't want to lose the natural sound of the guitar and end up with that synthetic sound which can happen

    Okay, I bought this from the local Guitar Center (Pittsburgh, PA) as an open box and they did not offer me the open box discount (-$60) plus there was no manual. I downloaded the manual but it does not say anything about recharging the Ni-MH batteries. Can the batteries be recharged with the AC power cord or do they have to be removed and recharged outside of the unit?

    I wonder has anyone reported any issues with the sound cutting out when on 50w at no more than 50% of the volume level from line in?
    I use an mp3 player for my music as a street performer i do use the 50w setting - which lets face it 50w for 8AA batteries. Massive reason for buying it. Need to know if i'm using it wrong or if is a common fault???

    Will the Roland Street Cube EX 4 channel 50 watts amplifier work with the HeadRush Pedal Board?
    (New to electric guitar playing how do you set this up digital Pedal Board?)

    • @bettermusic
      @bettermusic  3 года назад

      Absolutely, you would just connect your guitar to the pedalboard and then connect the output of the pedalboard to the input of the amp. It would be the same for any amp you're using the pedalboard with :)

    hi, i need to buy a battery powered amp,and i don t know wheter choose this cube street ex or the ac 33 ,which is more specific for acoustic guitar.This cube street seems more versatile,consider i play fingerstyle,in the style tommy emmanuel for example.What would u choose?thanks

    • @bettermusic
      @bettermusic  8 лет назад +1

      +risingsorrow The AC33 is a dedicated acoustic amp, whereas the Steet EX has a few extra features built in to make it more versatile, as you mentioned. It is really going to come down to which one you prefer using, and which one you like the sound of more. If you just want an acoustic amp, then the AC33 might be the way to go. It's worthwhile trying them out if you can before you buy.

    Useless review without stating actual battery life on all three modes. 8 aa's are not going to give much time on normal mode. Probably an hour at best? I shouldn't have to guess these things. Provide the info! And demo with electric plus backing tracks.

    • @fivebucklunch6902
      @fivebucklunch6902 8 лет назад

      If I'm correct Eco mode gives 20 hours of battery life with 10 watts of power, while in Normal mode you get 5 hours of power with 50 watts. I know there's a mode for 25 watts but I can't remember how much life it has. I would assume it'd be around 10 or so.

    Then use an electric! What's the point in using an acoustic through an acoustic simulator? I've had one of these for years.

    • @samblack5313
      @samblack5313 Год назад

      If you’ve had one for years you would know it has an acoustic channel for your acoustic, it also has an acoustic simulator channel for an electric.
      I play through mine using an acoustic and an electric. It’s nice to have the freedom to do so.

    Yes, but the somewhat similar portable Roland Microcube RX has an amazingly good drum machine built in, yet sadly no mic input, whereas this has mic input but no drum machine. Instead of tuners and all sorts of other semi-useless add-on's, why don't they just make a basic amp with a clean and drive channe, a 3 pin din mic input, and a drum machine?

    Love the original Roland Cube Street and the Cube Street X. However, the new Boss/Roland Street Cube 2 is not an improvement (IMO) . The sound is thin and tinny . The volume a little pass 12 0'clock with the gain at approx 9 am, breaks up and distorts. Why did Boss/Roland change the Original Street Cube to this overpriced toy ???? Please bring back the ORIGINAL ROLAND STREET CUBE ! Thanks in advance.

    Roland will NOT sell you replacement parts should something go wrong. you have to go to their authorised techs to order parts and fix it. Buy something else, i don't know what but don't give your money to a company that doesn't care about you after they have your money.

      It’s not purely a guitar amp, yet has reverb, chorus, delay bass, mid, treb , and 7 different channel presets.
      It can be used with an electric or acoustic.
      Has a very nice sounding vocal channel.
      Can also run another instrument/mic directly into it with a third dedicated channel.
      Has 3 power modes, and can run on batteries.
      Can be used as a foldback, or put on a stand as a PA speaker. Can run backing tracks through it, can feed it into a house system.
      I use this as a bedroom practice amp, a jam amp when writing with 1 other guitarist in a sit down jam session, and a PA in bigger jams, I’ve also gone down the beach with it, it can also be used as a stereo..
      What exactly are you expecting?
