So am I from Southern California and there are some things they had in that box, I never of. I have good friends living in Pennsylvania, I should visit my friends because they actually live close to Amish country and my friends don’t even know each other they don’t know (I should tell them) they both have relatives in the same city I live in. I like to buy locally made chocolates or candies or any kinds of specialty foods around California that you can’t find in a grocery store chain. My mom used to get together with her sisters, and they'd cook in a big kettle over a fire outdoors, boiling it down, then adding cinnamon, and a few other spices. You nailed it about it being spreadable, for toast, crumpets. scones, etc. You're getting a sampler of a good variety of "-butters". My favorite is apple butter. but they're ALL good!! Hey kids excellent video! Amish anything is wonderful! You both look so great! Hahaha! "I'm normal. You're mental." That was a great statement by Alex! (That's like something I'd say to a great friend, or my sister(s)!) I'm from the St. Louis area, just on further north-east, on the Illinois side. You should take your show on the road - there's so much to do in St. Louis, Missouri, that are totally FREE! The St. Louis Zoo is one of the Best in the U.S. There's the Basilica Cathedral (with the largest glass mosaics in the world, outside of Russia), the St. Louis Arch (the Gateway to the West) There's great food here, too, that St. Louis is famous for: toasted ravioli, in Little Italy, at Anthonio's Taverna; BBQ - smoked ribs with BBQ sauces; St. Louis-style pizza, etc. Anyway, I think you should do this as a travel-vlog for a Mid-America food trip! P.S. I, too, am a big Welch's fan - and it's not just for little kids. It's for big kids, too!! :-)
Haha 😂😂 ah no way. That’s awesome. We definitely want to take this show on the road one day!! That would just be so awesome. Oh wow. St. Louis sounds amazing 😍 hopefully one day we can visit! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
My grandmother always buys us an ornament every year that signifies something that happens that year in our lives. From our first Christmas as babies, to graduation from high school or college, marriage, etc. The idea is that when we move out on our own we will have ornaments for our own trees and have all those memories every time we decorate it. Merry Christmas you guys! Love the hat!
I'm from St. Louis (I now live in Mississippi) and you will not find a better group of folks than the ones who live on the South Side. The are amazing people! I moved to that area as an adult and was welcomed like and old friend. I love seeing all the goodies from home.
I loooove sixlets! They were definitely a childhood favorite but I sometimes still get them because they’re so good! I think that the candy shell and the chocolate is a perfect ratio!
Watching u guys makes me think of my brother Felix. We lost him 2 years ago. He loved Christmas n candy. But the relationship u 2 have is really amazing. This time of year is very difficult. But u 2 make me think of all the great memories my bro n I had.
Growing up, even now at 26, my parents always put a Pez into my stocking. Along with a tooth brush, small travel tooth paste, and lottery scratch offs.
Also apple butter is best served warm and spread on a southern style biscuit with butter! It's my favorite! I would always love to eat it on my Oma's German pancakes!!
Having deep family ties to St. Louis, the nostalgic treats are such a reminder of my Midwestern childhood. The Southside Girls (my favorite aunt lived on the Southside for many years) sent you some awesome choices! Y’all are so lucky!
Russell Stover makes the BEST sugar free chocolates. I will be making a box of sugar free candy for you guys in February and will be sending a ton of their sugar free flavors over. The best thing about them is they are made with Stevia and not Isomalt, so they don't make you sick if you over indulge!
I actually saw a lot of their sugar free chocolate when I visited New York! Never tried any though. Ah no way!! That would be awesome. Thank you so much. Oh cool. I hate that sick feeling

It's cool to watch something like this where the sender also lives in st Louis like me. Also every year my family goes to an apple butter festival in kimswick mo. I like it with with normal butter on toast

I used to work in the bakery as a pie baker at the blue owl In Kimmswick. I am also from the St. Louis area. Small world.I currently live about 30 minutes south of St. Louis.
Haha! Alex eating those Pringles with the wrist flip... ”much too good for children” “everything reminds you of much too good for children” that was too cute lol! #LovedIt
Apple butter is something my church made as a fun raiser in the fall of the year. It was cook in a Cooper kettle outside over a fire all day. Then it was placed in Mason jars and sold. The ingredients are apples, sugar, water and cinnamon. All the men and women in the church would meet the day before and peel the apples. The next day before day light we would start cooking and stirring the apples all day. So good on hot buttered biscuits.
I've never seen Sixlets torn open. You stick the package in your mouth, bite down in between them with your teeth, and then pull down. This causes one to burst through the end of the pack and pops it into your mouth. I think doing it this way makes them taste better 😉
When the kids go to the movie theater here in Pennsylvania they have a kid combo and it comes with a small drink, 2 scoops of popcorn and a small Welch's fruit snack (like the one in your video). Everything chocolate reminds me of "Much too good for children!"A lot of people love the apple butter, I've never tried any of them before but people do put it on toast, maybe a bagel but toast for sure. Yes, always use milk in your hot chocolate, so much better! I never liked whoopie pies until I tried a pumpkin one when I was in my Baking/Cake Decorating Pastry Arts class and they're so good!
Oh wow!!! Thats so cool. wish our cinema did that! Haha such a great film. Yeah definitely much better with milk! Tastes so watery if not. Mmm they sound amazing 😋
I buy my son and hubby an ornament every year. My son is 16 and I have been married 25 years. So we have quite the collection of sentimental ornaments. Every year i get an ornament with purpose. Like last year my son started drivers education and that was a huge milestone. So i found a drivers license ornament. It is fun to hunt for special ones each year. Merry Christmas to both of you!
That’s awesome. Yeah your tree must be pretty busy! 😆 What a great tradition. Ahh that’s so cool. Love that. Yeah I bet it’s so fun. I might have to start that one day when I have a family of my own ☺️
Hey Kate and Alex, I was gonna send you a Christmas box but money got a little tight. I will be sending a box your way in the new year, I actually have something special for Alex to try. Also I’ll make sure to send Kate some sour patch kids. Love you both so much. Love all your videos, I binge watch every other week. Hope you guys have a very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year. 🎄🎄🎄💕💕💕
When I was little sixlets were so addicting, but the chocolate wasn't that great. I think it was the style of the packaging that all the kiddos were hooked on. It was long and slim and easy to just pop 1 at a time in your mouth. BTW love you guys, I hope you both have an amazing Christmas & New Year!!💚
@@ThisWithThem See's range from old fashioned candies like Molasses chips to more modern chocolate truffles. (I'd skip the Molasses in assortments, if I were you, but mostly their chocolates are delicious and hand made with top grade ingredients.) Nuts and Chews (caramels) are a good assortment, as are truffle boxes.
@@bibliophile1319 You can order it online. You can also search for their various seasonal locations. We have a local one here in Northern Alabama that is open during the Christmas season.
I have always preferred Apple butter over any jelly when it comes to a peanut butter sandwich. Apple butter also tastes amazing on a fresh warm biscuit.
Hi, sweet adorable Kate. I bet you had fun trying a huge assortment of our Christmas treats from America. What's your honest opinion on caramel cookies? Have a good day, sweet adorable Kate. I love you, cutie pie.
Where I am from we ha e a hugely festival Apple Butter Festival. It’s great on toast. You called it. They are like a fam spread. Not as thick as nut or peanut butters but not as loose as jam or jelly.
Wotcher Kate and Alex, big fan of yours, I just wanted to say hi and to let you know that we have something similar to crumpets, called English muffins, the big differences are the fact that English muffins are made from dough, not batter, and they have a different cooking method. Love you guy , keep up the amazing work
Oh... yes. Toast, crumpets, scones! Put the fruit butter on all the things! Yes! Waffles... pancakes, crepes... eggy bread- french toast here. It's cooked down longer than a jam or jelly, making it thicker and a 'butter'.
I make apple butter. We use it on toast, English muffins, biscuits, sandwiches (in place of jelly), and I have mixed it in with oatmeal. Apple butter is pretty easy to make. Its like a very condensed applesauce that is pureed very fine. So, cook down the applesauce to a thicker consistency, add a lot of cinnamon and some cloves, ginger, and nutmeg. It is so good! I tend to make mine from scratch, though....which takes all day!
Another wonderful video! As for my Christmas tree, I also have a very eclectic tree with ornaments from my travels with my faves being from London. I've got the Union Jack, Underground, 2 royal Corgis, Tower Bridge and some others. I've also got ornaments from France, Italy, Belgium and Holland. ❤️
The sixlets are best when you pull them out of the bag with your mouth after opening. The candy shell makes the choc taste better because the choc isn’t the greatest.
I am from central Pennsylvania and many people around here eat apple butter and cottage cheese together. But if that's too strange for you, you can use it similar to a jam or jelly.

Hi Kate and Alex! 😊 I would use the butters on your Scones our Biscuits. I adored this video, so much variety this time and so fun! Thanks for the laughs, I always get excited when I see a new video is up! 💞
Thanks for the tip! We can't wait to try that, sounds delicious! So pleased you enjoyed the video! - Alex
In America, fruit butters are usually spread onto buttered toast or crackers,...i've only had the Apple butter, and it's amazing on buttered toast
Thank you 😀 sounds amazing. Can’t wait to try it!
It's cool to watch something like this where the sender also lives in st Louis like me. Also every year my family goes to an apple butter festival in kimswick mo. I like it with with normal butter on toast
Also I love that she included her ticket and the jersey
Yay glad you enjoyed it! Must be a cooler experience when the box is from the same state as you! Oh wow. That’s so cool.
Me too. Such a nice jersey and ticket
Aiden, I got all of those butter and jam spreads at the Apple Butter Festival in Kimmswick this past October. You were spot on.
I used to work in the bakery as a pie baker at the blue owl In Kimmswick. I am also from the St. Louis area. Small world.I currently live about 30 minutes south of St. Louis.
@@treemarie213100 I loved it when I went to the Blue Owl! The pies were fantastic! I live in South StL County.
Fruit butters are nice on toast, English muffins, and on bread along with peanut butter. Beautiful box full of goodies and another great video!

Yaay glad you loved them. I had so much fun picking them out haha 😆 thank you Kristine. So glad you enjoy watching. Happy holidays to you too ♥️
Apple butter waffles blueberry butter on pancakes the possibilities are endless! Also great on warm biscuits and corn bread
The butters are great spread on toast
👌🏻👌🏻 definitely going to give that a go! Thank you 😊
Apple butter is something my church made as a fun raiser in the fall of the year.
Great idea!! Wish i did that now. Thanks for the tip 😀
Yesss I always do that
That's the way we did it as kids down south.
I loved these as a kid. I always pronounced it six lets
Fact.
Some the snacks you received I wanna try too..and I'm American
They were delicious. You really must try them!
apple butter is great on a peanut butter sandwich
Oh cool! Thanks William

Oh same here 😒 boredom is terrible. Good thing we've got videos like this one 😁
@@bjaogh So glad you enjoy them! - Alex
@@chrissy316 That's awesome to hear so pleased you loved it! - Alex
Hi Kate and Alex😊😊love you guys❤❤❤
Hey Cindy!! ♥️ I hope you enjoyed this video 😀
@@ThisWithThem yes I did you guys are awesome😊😊😊
I buy my son and hubby an ornament every year. My son is 16 and I have been married 25 years. So we have quite the collection of sentimental ornaments. Every year i get an ornament with purpose. Like last year my son started drivers education and that was a huge milestone. So i found a drivers license ornament. It is fun to hunt for special ones each year. Merry Christmas to both of you!
That’s awesome. Yeah your tree must be pretty busy! 😆 What a great tradition. Ahh that’s so cool. Love that. Yeah I bet it’s so fun. I might have to start that one day when I have a family of my own ☺️
Merry Christmas to you too 🎄❤️
We have this same tradition. However I have 5 boyz so after that long I am gonna need like 3 trees Hahahaha. No hubby anymore though.
Kate you’re going to need a larger hand bag 😂
Hahaha I know right 😂😂 I’m going to need to wheel a mini suitcase around 😂
Fruit “butters” are often fruit and sugar/spices cooked down until thick and spreadable. Lots of people spread them on toast or on scones.
Thank you for explaining that ☺️ makes more sense now!
Best type of vidoes 😍
Yaaay 😀🎉
Hey Kate and Alex,
I was gonna send you a Christmas box but money got a little tight. I will be sending a box your way in the new year, I actually have something special for Alex to try. Also I’ll make sure to send Kate some sour patch kids. Love you both so much. Love all your videos, I binge watch every other week. Hope you guys have a very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year. 🎄🎄🎄💕💕💕
Normal Oreos are the best
😀
InTheKitchenWithKate you are my role model
When I was little sixlets were so addicting, but the chocolate wasn't that great. I think it was the style of the packaging that all the kiddos were hooked on. It was long and slim and easy to just pop 1 at a time in your mouth. BTW love you guys, I hope you both have an amazing Christmas & New Year!!💚
Yeah I agree. The way they are in the long thin strips! Thank you so much! I hope you have an amazing Christmas and new year too 🎄♥️
@@ThisWithThem Thank you so much Beautiful Kate & Handsome Alex xoxoxox
Someone send them a box of Sees candy.
Mmm yet to try Sees candy!
@@ThisWithThem See's range from old fashioned candies like Molasses chips to more modern chocolate truffles.
(I'd skip the Molasses in assortments, if I were you, but mostly their chocolates are delicious and hand made with top grade ingredients.)
Nuts and Chews (caramels) are a good assortment, as are truffle boxes.
Sees is the BEST!!
@@bibliophile1319 You can order it online. You can also search for their various seasonal locations. We have a local one here in Northern Alabama that is open during the Christmas season.
eh Sees are a bit bland. Albanese candy is so much better.
Like the ornament. Very thoughtful.
Clark jr is better than a butterfinger and the other thing you were trying to think of was a chick-o-stick
Yeah I think so too!! Yes that was it. Thank you 😀😀
I have always preferred Apple butter over any jelly when it comes to a peanut butter sandwich. Apple butter also tastes amazing on a fresh warm biscuit.
Fun fact : the billy goat hand made chips are ONLY $1.00 !!
No way!!
And Clark Bars are made where I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. ❤️
How cool! ♥️
First
Yaaaay! You’re so early. Thank you 😀

I my god you responded pls give me a shout out
What a sweet person to put that box together for you guys!
Liz and the girls are so wonderful!
Hi, sweet adorable Kate. I bet you had fun trying a huge assortment of our Christmas treats from America. What's your honest opinion on caramel cookies? Have a good day, sweet adorable Kate. I love you, cutie pie.
Hey Byron!! We really did. Such a great laugh too! I LOVE caramel cookies. Hope you have a good day too!
Liz is the real MVP! ☺️
She’s amazing isn’t she!
Oh my apple butter and toast! Yum. You will love them! The fruit butters are slow cooked and seasoned so they end up so creamy almost. Enjoy
Fruit butters are a highly spiced cooked fruit spread. It's really easy to make.
Thank you for letting us know ☺️
Where I am from we ha e a hugely festival Apple Butter Festival. It’s great on toast. You called it. They are like a fam spread. Not as thick as nut or peanut butters but not as loose as jam or jelly.
When I saw the chips were from st.Louis I got excited then when I saw the cardinals cozy I got even more excited, being born and raised in st.Louis.
Wotcher Kate and Alex, big fan of yours, I just wanted to say hi and to let you know that we have something similar to crumpets, called English muffins, the big differences are the fact that English muffins are made from dough, not batter, and they have a different cooking method. Love you guy , keep up the amazing work
yasss
Oh... yes. Toast, crumpets, scones! Put the fruit butter on all the things! Yes! Waffles... pancakes, crepes... eggy bread- french toast here.
It's cooked down longer than a jam or jelly, making it thicker and a 'butter'.
The intro with you making Alex more festive is so amazing and cute😂💗
I make apple butter. We use it on toast, English muffins, biscuits, sandwiches (in place of jelly), and I have mixed it in with oatmeal.
Apple butter is pretty easy to make. Its like a very condensed applesauce that is pureed very fine. So, cook down the applesauce to a thicker consistency, add a lot of cinnamon and some cloves, ginger, and nutmeg. It is so good! I tend to make mine from scratch, though....which takes all day!
This was so cool. You got so much goodies. Loved the shirt Alex got.
Such a great box!!
Thank you Tina! Ah i love that, i bet your tree looks lovely. Oh wow, thats so cool!!
I reckon I would actually really like that!
Hi Kate and Alex! Merry Christmas! What a great video and how awesome are the South side Girls?
Hey Shearae! Thank you 😀 Merry Christmas to you too. They are so awesome. So lucky receiving this box! Wish I had friends like them
