I grew up on Bone, Twista, Do or die, etc. Krayzie's my favorite for sure.
Krayzie Bone brought this style to the rest of the group (Bizzy and Layzie at the time) that this would be THE style, their signature style. After they made hits, it began to make many rappers begin to alter their style of rapping. It even made singers begin to alter the way they sang too. (It's why he mentions it in this song). Busta Rhymes never used to rap fast, until after he appear in a song "The Points" with Bone Thugs. Da Brat never used to rap fast, until after Bone broke in the scene (they got popular around the same year too), Eminem used to rap at regular pace for the first years of his career, now he raps fast. Unfortunately, when these rappers mention their favorite rappers or influences, they don't mention the Thugs. Even the Game made an entire song ("Celebration" featuring Lil Wayne, Whiz Khalifa, Tyga and Chris Brown) off of ONE line from Krayzie Bone's verse in "1st of Tha Month" (We havin' a celebration, love to stay high); but when he was interviewed on the radio about what inspired the song, he mentioned names neither of which was Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. This got Bone fans mad (given that he not only took that line he took the melody of the line, and the song was the same beat with 1st of Tha Month. The Game quickly made a remix featuring them (both songs have videos). Hopefully with the Versus later today, many will recognize where the current fast rap evolved from.
