Very true Wayne even has an interview talking about it. Edit y’all are right video I seen was Wayne talking about how he wasn’t going to let Em body him on the track. That he wanted his verse to be just as good as Em
The producers composed this song the way they did for a reason. They saved the best for last. Em's verse was the greatest, which is why it was saved until the end.
Eminem was best overall imo. His double entendres, his cadence changes, his punchlines, him rhyming the whole line with the following lines (most rappers just be rhyming the last 2-3 words, Eminem be rhyming the whole sentence with the next sentence). He was more versatile with his verse. Kanye went super hard and what he said was fire too but wasn’t as diverse as Em in terms of the skills I mentioned earlier. For me it was: 1. Eminem 2. Kanye 3. Lil Wayne 4. Drake
I'll comment on this post because you 2 had summed up what I was going to say from the flow switches, cadence, Kanye heard Em's verse and took him DAYS to rewrite, and remember when listening to Em. It's not always bars...it's internal rhyme schemes, stressing vowel sounds in long runs, muti-syllable rhyme schemes, on top of story telling, entandres etc. If you focus just on bars you'll miss a lot of what he tries to do.... Oh, and what most people won't know is Em's Pinnochio bar was aimed at Gucci Mane. It was a sub, based on what GM said about him around the Mariah beef. Good reaction though guys!
The even crazier part about the Hannibal Lector line is that it has an even deeper reference to the A-Team. Hannibal on that show always used to save the character named Face. Em is saying he aint that Hannibal though and so don’t think about saving face. Absolutely wild bar
When this song dropped it was very important for hip hop. All the positions of each artist. Drake being fairly young still, but crushing the game consistently. While Ye and Wayne, being two very established OGs. Em.. it speaks for itself. They had him go last. Also, Em was retired, heavy on drugs, and just not doing well for YEARS prior to this point. He got re-inspired while sitting out, seeing Ye, Wayne, Drake and others. He got healthy, and climbed up out that hole. This was the first track he was on. And been fairly active ever since. There's thousands of great songs, and this is one. They all gave solid verses for who they are.
Yea not to mention this was when they tried to get Kanye cancelled after the Taylor swift incident. I remember radio took out his verse and skipped right to em
Thankfully Em pulled through. Relapse and Recovery hit so different compared to the rest of his albums, the emotion behind them are raw. Most would say they are his least. I say they are his best cause he made them while battling his demons. Man was in the fight for his life and still sat us down and spilled his heart out.
@@DemonicTheAngel no one would say recovery is one of his worst, it’s usually put in the top for with sslp, mmlp, and Eminem show and won him a Grammy. Relapse a lot of people hate on but I’d say it’s better than encore, revival, and music to be murdered by
I REPEAT if Eminem and Lil Wayne had just made an album together I believe it would have been the best album in the entire universe ever made! I think they still could too I wish they would
If Andre 3Kwas still writing and spitting, I would want to hear an album from them Em and Dre 3K. Andre was just different, Lil Wayne nice, but Andre 3k is\was the best in the South.
“True villains / truth spilling / true feelings / tooth fillings” That’s a level of writing & delivery that only Marshall is capable of. His bars + flow switches win this easily. He destroyed that track.
@@MIS3RY. I know, it sounds so good tho. And in this track, compared to the other 3, it stands out to me. His gun scheme on “Greatest”, his bowling scheme on “Alfred’s Theme”, his “Born a cynic and more demented” scheme on “I Will”…

I think I like Kanyes verse more cause it's more fun, and emotionally charged. Like when he said he'd give it all for his Grammy back. Remember had a bad hip like a phanty pack. Or how he said he used to want this but you can have it back. Hetalks about him failing class and makes it allsound great. On a technical standpoint Eminem verse was better, he had more bars, flow on point, and he drove the beat. But I think music is more than just technical and I can't put em over Kanye on this
“You dealin' with a few true villains Who stand inside of the booth, truth spillin' And spit true feelings Until our tooth fillings come flyin' up out of our mouths, now rewind it” I’m sorry but this bar can’t be topped🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yo I swear to God I did not even see your comment literally from a year ago and after I saw this video I had to comment on here and the exact bars that you commented is exactly what I commented and what got it for me that gave Eminem the number one spot the cadence and those bars in the way he spit it and at the end the way he says now rewind it is just ridiculous 💯
i think about this bar Em- stand inside the booth Drake- spills the truth Kanye- spit's his true feelings Wayne- then came flying the tooth filling guy Its them, the true few villains
Em put 2x as many bars into his verses and they each go so hard plus almost all of them have multi meanings and then rhymes them all together as a story….?! The craft of them is just so insane. Flow switches tops it all off, Em killed this one bro
@@Gyl_. it's the fact that Em can just spit faster and STILL fit in the rhyming schemes, perfect flow, hard words in pronunciation after eachother, and you can understand him clearly without reading lyrics.. lol not that many artists are on Ems level
Em said he could have spit that slow flow like the others but he had to stand out his flow and emotion did it and that was kanye's best he could do he heard Em's verse and took off 2 days to rewrite his kanye said it himself they all did there thing to create a legendary song as always enjoyed the reaction
@@simon5692 you had to be there. Em was out of the game in his hiatus, him and 50 era was over, Wayne took the game completely and utterly since he was the only upcoming contender back in the Aftermath era. Kanye got 50s spot after their beef, then once they were the established ones, you had Drake who was rising. Forward to 2009, old-news-Em announced he was coming back, this was his first big feature with all the new scene; last time dude, drugged, unlearned rap in Re-Up, everyone was expecting something weak and he just spazzed, spited circles around Wayne, Ye and Drake; Ye had to rewritte his verse after Em's sent his. You basically saying "everyone who thinks different than me is wrong, i'm the only one who's right", man grow up
Kanye took 2 days off to rewrite his verse after hearing Eminem’s. That speaks volumes! You guys said it, you can catch everyone’s bars quick but EM’s you have to listen and listen to it over and over again, and every time you find something new! Also, on the other song “fall” he said, “sorry if I took forever” 🎶 as of he took long to respond to all the hate and took the forever song (this song )! Lol legendary shit
Wayne still has the best verse tho, if you actually pay attention closely Em’s verse completely messed up the vibe of the song with his fast rapping everyone was rapping normal and then Em just comes in with corny ass flow and lyrics just messed up the whole song honestly
@@simon5692 I think it sounded way way better than everyone else!...other than that I only liked Wayne's chill voice and vibes In the end it's just opinions lol
This track was insane when it dropped. Eminem was gone for years. Relapse didn’t do as well as expected and suddenly he returned when drake was rising up, Kanye was on fire and Wayne dominated everything and managed to keep up.
Drake, Kanye, and Wayne themselves ALL admitted that Em spit the hardest verse! That's why they agreed for Em's verse to be last! It's always been a tradition in hip hop for the best artist to go last during a collab. Most artist will admit that Em has NEVER been outshined on a track!!
The fact you said Drake was a 10/10 in the beginning then he is 4th shows how good this is. My favorite is the "you dealing with a few true villains in a booth truth spilling" showing respect to himself, Drake, Wayne, and West hell of a way to wrap it all up
Wayne’s verse grew on me over time. Little touches with the production like the added piano on certain bars or the space ship sound effect fit really well with Wayne’s delivery. And a line like “my mind shines even tho my thoughts seem dark” is simple but dope as hell at the same time. Sometimes shit doesn’t have to be overly complex to pack a punch. I rank it 1. Em 2. Wayne 3. Ye 4. Drake
Also resting in the lead, he's so comfy on top that he needs to have a pillow and a cover.. cause he thinks he can sleep on the competition.... Wish they would have discussed that line too. But it is what is and it's a great video really gets you thinking of everything.
i remember the moment the song was debuted on the radio and me and the whole fam went CRAZY and my dad and i are big Em fans so when he came in out of NOWHERE he damn near started swervin 😂
Eminem rhymes everything. Packing stadiums with macadamia. Who thinks like that. Back into the game... Rap will never be the same... bashing in the brains... Establishing a name... passion in the flame... Crazy flow. Pay more attention. He is unquestionably the GOAT
Em had the best verse. And on his song "Fall" that came out in 2018. He said "the fans waited for this moment like the feature when I stole the show. Sorry if I took Forever." When this song first came out everyone was talking about Em's verse and it was a surprise that he was even on the song. And also, he was replying to disrespectful stuff Joe Budden and akademics was saying about his a year or 2 before but he took almost 2 years to reply. Hints "sorry if I took forever"
Since ya'll didn't understand Em's verse I can help you guys out. His opening bar was actually a shot at Ye, Wayne and Drake. Basically he was saying the stadiums don't get packed until he hits the stage because hes who everyone coming to see. He goes on to say that he could make them look like bozos, he could rap slow or rap fast (go for broke). Then at the end of the song he tells them if they're thinking of saving face they'll have no face to save by time he's done. And he said that before Kanye and Lil Wayne rewrote their verses. And the part about the buzz and overdose is a quintuple entendre which is very hard to pull off... although Em has also done sextuple entendres. Astonishing!
Em is definitely in his own league. Picasso, Rembrandt, Bach, The Beatles, etc. Are just some of the best artists in history that Em rubs shoulders with. Very nice job analyzing Dominique....
I do so much agree with you and love what you said . but I would like to say that I did think that off of hearing his 1st verse I think he’s was just sittin back on his throne where he belong and as well thinking and speaking in the sense that the rap game tougher then ANY pro sport at THAT time , #ALLLOVE
Remember Eminems Fall? "Sorry If I Took Forever" Damn right he did. - Real talk met Drake on the set of Degrassi, legit a nice dude. Not flexin just givin his personality a shoutout. He did use a ghostwriter for a minute tho before he got shot lol. BUT THAT'S another story. 1. Em 2. Wayne 3. Kanye 4. Drake
Em had just came back from a 4 year hiatus and still couldn’t beat Wayne that’s facts.. Wayne was dropping verse left up rigth down and still managed to kill everyone on Forever goat shit frfr
Kanye had to rewrite his verse after listening to eminems verse. He cancelled his interviews and appointments for 2 days to rewrite his verse. My person opinion: Eminem > Lil Wayne > Kanye > Drake
Eminem even addressed this in his Fall song "The fans waited for this moment/ Like that feature when I stole the show/ Sorry if I took forever"😎👌. They all had good versus but EM literally steals the show no matter who's song he's on 🤷♀️.
This song was unique because of the timing! Em was going through his recovery period and previously dropped an album that was ehh but on his comeback. Drake was hot and was the go-to-guy for the hooks and still establishing himself. Kanye was kanye, still on top and putting hot albums out and going through his transition as well, just going dark. Wayne was killing everything and on everyones remixes. Em sent everybody a message on this as respectful as em can be in rap. They all went hard and had individual swags.
People also need to remember that at this time, Eminem had just put out his worst album Relapse which was after he stopped rapping for a few years and got past his addiction and it was universally hated. So everyone thought he would never be the same and then a little while after that album dropped and people thought he was finished... this song came out and blew everyone's mind.
Revisiting this video boyz, you know bars are being dropped here. The patiently waiting thing still went over my head until recently and thinking about 50's music. love you guys!
Eminem spits more bars in less time while mixing the flow as if it were a crime... The other raps were straight up gems, no doubt, but for me, the best was clearly Em's.. Peace out!!✌️🔥
"You dealin' with a few true villains Who stand inside of a booth, truth-spillin' And spit true feelings until our tooth fillings Come flyin' up out of our mouths, now, rewind it" That's my fav part, so it's an easy decision for me.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤, I loved Em aggression and passion in his delivery. Listening to everyone was like watching an all star relay track team. They all were equally lyrically and artistically great. The poetry could be heard in all their verses but Em brought it on home with his aggressive delivery.
When I was a child until now I really respect Eminem. He is a rapper who doesn't make any unnecessary stage drama. And when it comes to competitive rapping, he would spit fire all over the place. Even though as a child I don't really understand his words before and have to look up for each meaning and therefore have seen the depth of his mind and literacy, and it encourages me to undertake English language more.
Please make sure Ross (if that’s his name, light blue shirt) is there when you guys react to Alfred’s Theme - Eminem. I want to see him catch these bars.
Childhood legendary songs 😢 .. I still remember when EM sing his part I jumped Higher in my School like a superhero 😂 there they go 🚶♂️ the best part 🤪
Wayne's first two lines is basically him saying he's out of this world and I couldn't agree more. Em didn't have to go that hard though, I swear the man has verses ready like a loaded AK, you can tell the verse was rehearsed plenty and the last bit changed to fit the song. That's masterclass rap
The part that yall caught about ems rhyming words is called multi syllabic rhyming, the thing about it tho is that it’s still set up for the bars. It’s hard to do that cause sometimes making words but still having good context doesn’t always pay off well.
I like watching these dudes react to things before their time because they get pumped about all the great shit they didn't get to experience when it came out. Keep doing your thing guys
When you guys reacted to “Fall” I was wondering if the bar went over y’all’s head, but seeing as you’ve never heard this song (hard to believe) I’ll point it out. In “Fall” Em raps, “The fans waited for this moment Like that feature when I stole the show Sorry if I took forever” that was in reference to this song Forever where Em clearly had the best verse
What I love most about this song is backstories of how everyone rewrote their verses except Em & how it forged bond between him & Drake. They preformed this at 2010 Grammys and Drake was big time nervous. Em told him look at me before you start and I’ll give you nod to let you know you belong up here. In video D12 standing behind Em bc this was his first song back after he OD’ed.
Don’t think you caught it, but when Em says he can make them look like bozos, HE IS TALKING ABOUT THE OTHER PEOPLE ON THE TRACK. That’s next level hard my guys. Takes a huge set of 🥜 to put that on the track. 😂 Also, that whole “you’re standing with a few true villains, who stand inside of the booth truth spilling, till our tooth fillings come flying up out of our mouths, then rewind it” scheme you just completely glossed over is incredible and immaculate. The rhyme scheme, cadence, flow, multi syllabic rhyming, and lyrical content in that are insane…AND it was hard AF. But I agree, everyone went hard and gave it everything they had. Love each of their verses. One of my all time favorite songs actually. 👍
@@yaluman. we don't all know. Eminem had no bars on that song just like he doesn't have bars in this song. Eminem wasn't crazy on bars in recovery era anyways
They all went hard 🔥 but Em always goes harder! Either way this song was a great callab & I'd love for them to do another one. & great reaction video, ya'll had me crackin up 😂
Such an underrated song. To have that kind of star power bringing their absolute nastiest stuff to one song is crazy. Kanye is crazy now so people forget how ridiculously good he was. I also am always surprised how much harder Ems lyrics go when you see them written out. The flow is always good and you know he’s lyrically great but you can read his words and catch them all, you understand why people say he’s the greatest lyricist ever. Such a fun video!
This song had the three goats which is already insane. Wayne and Kanye were running with it, Em was in rehab and this was his big comeback - of course he snapped. No contest.
I remember when this dropped! 😂 it was wild because we haven’t heard Em in awhile and YMCMB started blowing because of Lil Wayne and then Drake. Out of nowhere Eminem popped out for this feature and released a few crazy albums. Recovery is insane.
So glad you guys finally took my suggestion to react to this song, although I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s suggested this song to you. This song is fire 🔥, I can’t wait to see your reaction. Eminem, Kanye west, lil Wayne and Drake in that order. I Never been a big Drake fan but he’s got a few pretty good songs, I’m definitely a bigger fan of the other 3 though.
Church, been trying to get these guys to do fire 🔥 Eminem tracks but they doing his other stuff, they got along way to go lol, They gonna go crazy when they hear Yelawolf track with Em Best Friend, they gonna miss about 50% of the bars in that song
All of these dudes are GOATed at this point. How do tracks like this not get made more often? Wayne +Em or Drake or Kanye always equals an instant classic.
All of them tweaked on this. Drake really proved himself when this came out. To get 3 of the greatest MCs on his record is impressive in itself but this is honestly one of the best records ever. Drakes first was simple but it was a perfect intro verse.
@@juanayeah19 Just like everyone said Drake didn't write for Kanye and then Kanye admitted Drake wrote the 2 most popular records on "The Life of Pablo".
Em by far had the best verse, after hearing em's verse the rest went back to the pad to rewrite their verses. Em's first try, out did the rest even after they heard it. Any and every true hip hop head would say em took this.
Wayne's line when he said he is like Nevada in the summer meaning he is hot, then says he restin in the lead, then he needs a pillow and a cover because he is so far in front he can sleep. He killed that.
Eminem has the best verse and his flow is untouchable 🔥🔥🔥 Kanye went went back and re wrote his verse after hearing Eminems lol eminem didn’t get that chance
Idk how they're even debating this. Eminem slaughtered them... notoriously Em said on Kamikaze "The fans waited for this moment like that feature When I stole the show, sorry if I took *forever*"

Eminem bodied that track, Kanye literally had to rewrite his lyrics after listening to EM, and also, the best always goes last, there’s really no debate on who was better, it’s EM by a landslide, but Yeezy went off tho
@@chickenrico5974 Ye had to slow down his flow to keep rhythm of the beat, Ems finishes his sentence before his flow fades out which adds more lyrics into Em’s flow

Its not a diss. It's actually showing respect. In every feature he does he looks at it as competition. So he see them as monsters so no he has to go for broke meaning he knows he has to go hard. He has attended major events of these artist he would never diss them.
That Hannibal bar also has a double meaning. Not only from the movie Hannibal where dude was a Cannibal. Lol "no pun intended". But also from A-Team and old movie series that later was made into a movie. Hannibal is the leader of the group of 4 who are basically highly decorated soldiers. Hannibal, Face, B.A and Murdock.🔥🔥🔥
Without even knowing the lyrics anyone that *knows* music / tempo / pockets will hands down, say EM had the best verse. On a pure technical / rap skill level there is zero debate. Wayne held his own (again, going by talent, not lyrics). People have differing opinions on who has the best verse because of how they relate to what is being said. (Which is perfectly normal). Kanye may have appealed to some more simply because of his verse related to someone who didn’t relate to EMs verse. Having said that, if you are going to legit ask who’s verse was better based on actual talent - EMs flow / structure / cadence was way out of reach of the others and his rhyme patterns (inside and outside) made the others look remedial to be quite honest.
Exactly. I'm just not sure how this isn't a Will Smith face slap obvious. To each there own, on what appeals to them, but the talent and degree of difficulty Em displays on this in like watching Simone Byles perform gymnastics when she was 6 vs her most recent Olympic performance. That's cool if you'de rather watch and cheer on little kids, it's cute and all, and it's technically the same sport, but the degree of difficulty, (even if you're not into elite Olympic level women's gymnastics), needs to be given credit to appropriately for the once in potentially multiple generational talent, that people like Simone, and Em, display.
I remember reading an interview with eminem in complex magazine where the interviewer was asking for em's thoughts on Kanye saying that when he heard em's verse that he went back and re wrote his lyrics for 2 days. He said he canceled appointments to re-write, and Wayne also saying that he went back and re-recorded his verse from the original version after he heard em's verse. Eminem in response said "that everybody approached the beat different... for some reason, I felt the beat was a double-time beat, so I rapped faster." To add the track was originally for Kardinal Official featuring Rock City on a song called "bring it back". When Kardinal did not use the song on his album, it was later re-sold to Drake, who released it in late 2008 as "I want this forever" featuring lil Wayne and Kidd Kidd.
Not trying to be a stan but 1. That Pinocchio reference is a reply to Gucci Mane who took shot at him in the Mariah Carey - So Obsessed remix 2. "he aint had a buzz like this since the last time he overdosed" He is bringing up Shady 2.0 acts ( Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf) who had recently signed to Shady Records back in 2010. So this song was around that time. Everybody was hyped about Slaughterhouse joining forces with Eminem. 3. he kinda mocks the other rappers on this song with his superior flow "he can make them look like boso's wondering if he should spit this slow..." 4. fact: Kanye and Drake went and redid their parts when they heard Em's bars
Eminem stan here, i personally really love Kanye verse, i think Em had the best verse just slightly over Kanye just because he took a jab at them in his verse, besides Kanye himself said when he heard Eminems verse he canceled appointments to rewrite his verse for 2 days.

@braedenbushyager315 bro ive been an em fan since I can not even remember and I don't remember any of his verses popping off harder than his on this song
But I think music is more than just technical and I can't put em over Kanye on this
Nah

Yo I swear to God I did not even see your comment literally from a year ago and after I saw this video I had to comment on here and the exact bars that you commented is exactly what I commented and what got it for me that gave Eminem the number one spot the cadence and those bars in the way he spit it and at the end the way he says now rewind it is just ridiculous 💯
Can u explain me this bar pls
i think about this bar
Em- stand inside the booth
Drake- spills the truth
Kanye- spit's his true feelings
Wayne- then came flying the tooth filling guy
Its them, the true few villains
Em put 2x as many bars into his verses and they each go so hard plus almost all of them have multi meanings and then rhymes them all together as a story….?! The craft of them is just so insane. Flow switches tops it all off, Em killed this one bro
Fast bars doesn’t equal quality, and while I agree em is the best on the track I don’t fast or more bars is a valid reason for why em is better
@@Gyl_. it's the fact that Em can just spit faster and STILL fit in the rhyming schemes, perfect flow, hard words in pronunciation after eachother, and you can understand him clearly without reading lyrics.. lol not that many artists are on Ems level

Wayne’s verse grew on me over time. Little touches with the production like the added piano on certain bars or the space ship sound effect fit really well with Wayne’s delivery.

That flew over my head!! I appreciate that bar more now!!

Theres always debate man...ye's was bangin

Packing stadiums as he spits his flow. They brought down the stadium in detroit in eminem - beautiful
Not trying to be a stan but
1. That Pinocchio reference is a reply to Gucci Mane who took shot at him in the Mariah Carey - So Obsessed remix
3. he kinda mocks the other rappers on this song with his superior flow "he can make them look like boso's wondering if he should spit this slow..."
4. fact: Kanye and Drake went and redid their parts when they heard Em's bars
Exactly
That's why my pics are

Drake
He was also referencing when he had overdosed on methadone and hadn't done a whole lot since then until the whole Refill, Relapse, Recovery albums.
Lil Wayne's theme park bar was hard AF. 🔥
Eminem stan here, i personally really love Kanye verse, i think Em had the best verse just slightly over Kanye just because he took a jab at them in his verse, besides Kanye himself said when he heard Eminems verse he canceled appointments to rewrite his verse for 2 days.
