That’s what I wanted just 1 whole surgery. I wanted my surgeon to send to pathology we home removing the right to see if left needs to be done. It’s all a money maker for doctors who want to go back in a second time. It should be a 1 and done
There's a chance of cancer developing again on the other gland so my Dr. Decided to take the whole thyroid out so I didn't have to go again in the future,potentially.

How are you now ??? Bcz dctr suggested me to remove complete for papillary carsinoma
You forgot that, by removing part of the thyroid, you don't have to worry about damaging the parathyroid glands

This is actually not true … you have no more or less chance than any other person … I’m sorry your doctor told you differently
Going again would only have been the other half of the surgery. Having the whole thing taken at one time was more risky.
