- Bakeries in general are so similar - pastry, coffee, bread, but makes each single bakery to stand out?
This time I am heading to iconic locations in London where, on my day off, discovering new places and flavours.
I can already say that each single one had something distinctive, but let's explore them together.

A bit late watching this… so fun to do what we call a “bakery crawl”. Just finishing up a nice time visiting the New England states in the US. Bakeries are always our go to. After 40 years in the bakery business, I can’t get it out of my blood.
I guess i will tell the same after some time - just so cool to visit different places and see how bakers do things differently. I am happy to hear your recommendations from your recent trip :)

I can't think of many better ingenius days out than a bakery tour. Why have I never thought of this! Chestnut Bakery looks like the one for me.

Making & supplying candles to Many top Restaurants & Hotels & Many other places too. I know Exactly what's it's like to try & test out Everyone else's products, Not just at home but anywhere I visit. It's just a thing I have to do.!!😀😀☘.

WOW Kris, that was an amazing tour. So many great places to try. I know you are busy but you should do tours of the bakeries for people once they start traveling again. Each one looked so good. Or how about writing a book about them and your favorite bake from each one! And a recipe from each? Sign me up!. The one with the thinly sliced pears was super looking. You made my day although all I had was cereal for breakfast! I want one of those danish NOW! Xo

The idea is fun! But..there is a ‘but’.😀 The recipes don’t get shared that easily, they are protected by the companies so yes - i am planning to do more tours in different cities, hopefully that sounds interesting too ☺️ regards from rainy London!:)
@@KrisKazlauskaite yes I know what you mean. When I baked professionally people would ask for recipes. Of course they were in bulk and not that easy to translate. Nor would they have given out their secrets.
Have you seen Dorie Greenspans book "Paris Sweets"? It's a compilation of desserts from the cities best pastry shops. I am not sure how she translated the from large quantities but it works. Xo
