Let's just say that most places that pay their taxes want card/contactless in preference these days, because cash is ultimately more expensive to handle, unless you don't pay your taxes. Inland Revenue should be all over this place by the looks of it. People talk about the wealthy not paying taxes, but the cumulative amount of untaxed cash payment daily is a huge drain on public finances. If anyone tells me it's cash only, I walk away.
Only problem this is set up but for normal people the place is full of tourists getting ripped off and keeping a eye on your bags ,it’s changing so much loads of criminals about

@@adamwynyard4065 also- what’s your fav market?
Mercat central Valencia is great too
Ohhhh thanks for the recommendation! We will add it to the list!
In all fairness Gregg’s sausage rolls cost a sixth of the price.
True!
Sure, and they have their place, but the ones at Borough market are twice the size and at least twice as tasty. Worth every penny, as an occasional treat.
Sadly, I went to Nana Fannys and it was a drastically underwhelming version of what you guys were given. I'm pretty sure they amp it up if they think they're feeding a streamer etc.
The sausage roll place was great though.
Sorry to hear that about Nana Fanny’s. We still dream about the sausage roll at The Ginger Pig! Thanks for watching!
Greggs sausage roll £1.25 as apposed to £6
I had to skip lunch after watching this video. I reckon just watching it I gained 5 pounds.

Best market food? You need go to Thailand markets.
We have! Spent 2 months in Thailand. All over from north to south and the islands. Borough market is better🤭
@@EvanandLemonI totally agree and I've been going to Thailand since 1989.
And people say that uk food is terrible 😂
@@justin2897 exactly! It’s delicious!
Please, please, please. It is not Burrow, we are not Hobbits or Rabbits, we do not live underground despite the country being split into many Boroughs. In English, it is pronounced Burruh.

That's not a top tier Scotch Egg. A proper Scotch Egg should still have a mostly soft yolk.
Yeah it wasn’t the best we’ve had for sure
as brits we need to stop hyping up greggs.. greggs is like a fast food chain bakery... its not a propper bakery or butchers where the likes of sausages rolls and prok pies and scotch eggs are best from
The guy saying cash is better... Yeah, right!
Good to know. Thanks for watching!

Furness Fish Grill - cash is better.... wonder why... money laundering or tax dodging. Shameful either way.
Credit and debit cards have fees for vendors.
@@kylecmurphy At the prices being charged this is more than accounted for.
Ba-rah market, it’s pronounced.
Ahhhh good to know! Thank you!
Don’t you mean Burr eurgh?
It's not pronounced like that at all. Its Like Burrow as in a rabbit burrowing.
Which one is it?!😭
@EvanandLemon It's either my comment or the comment above mine. Definately not the one you originally replied to. If you say Burr er you are nearly there. 😅 Sorry for all this confusion because most of british words are hard to pronounce. Have a lovely trip and tell your American friends that we do have good food here in the uk.😁
Seriously overpriced food, but worth a visit.
Borrow..😂😂
Hahaha, we have learned the correct pronunciation! Thanks for watching!
Definitely not the best food market in the world. Just Reading Terminal in Philly is way better than Borough market. Nevermind all of the crazy Hawker centers and markets they have all over Asia, which you guys have seen.

When people are on vacation, they tend to splurge. Borough Market isn’t the cheapest, but the quality is uniformly high. Great pastries? Check. Sausage rolls? Right on. Montgomery Cheddar at Neal’s Yard? Oh my, yes.
Couldn’t have said it better ourselves!!! This was exactly what I wanted to stay lol
Especially Furness Fish Grill/bomba paella. Their food is dirty, no taste, absolutely overrated. Check out their bad reviews - very accurate especially about the rude gay staff. They prefer cash because their business is just a props for money laundering.

The Spanish food markets are dogshit
Absolute tosh. Borough market is below average in Spain, try la boqeurila in Barcelona for a real food market. What they serve here they throw away in Spain.
Thanks for watching! Will have to check out La Boqeurila our next time in Barcelona!
Is the title a joke? Cos if you're serious you need to go see a doctor. It's not even the best in London.
I mean.. we loved it! And it got you to watch/comment😉
We will be visiting other markets while we’re here in London. What do you think is the best?
@@EvanandLemon try Kingston market, best on weekends, London doesn't have good markets anymore. Traders have been screwed by government fees and crappy global outlets. Also, a tip, if you put misleading titles, you lose trust in your channel. Save them for real "best" experiences. I saw it on my feed and knew it was wrong, hence the comment. Something to note as you grow your channel, hope it helps. Also, I like the nice smiles, something the world could use more of.
