    Thank you Clarise for a very honest, detailed, unbiased, and extremely comprehensive review of this tent. i also picked up that this was not your first outing with the tent so you have taken the time to evaluate and take a hard look at all it's features. I think allot of "product reviewers" should take some notice from you on how to do the job so it benefits the viewers not just the companies that supply the items. Your transparency regarding the tent being sent to you by the company did not in my opinion alter your very fair and thorough review. Another first class video Clarise!

      Howzit Bob, I'm glad to hear that you've found value in the review. I think it would only be fair to test something like a tent thoroughly before giving my opinion on it. We depend very heavily on a shelter in the wild. All in a I am very happy with it and would definitely recommend it. You'll see it in some of our future adventures. Have a super weekend and thanks for dropping a comment. C

    3:00 .. 👋😀 Hello to Klareese's Dad !! Good to see family working together.
    5:11.. I appreciate your recommendation for the Unigear 10x10 tarp..I ordered one (in brown color to suit my environment, in Northern Canada) and Amazon delivered in 3 days 🤩👍...
    I tested it out , immediately and am really impressed with its waterproofing and size...and the tie-downs are well made with the stitching.
    My opinion of this tent, is the material looks good..but
    Too many poles (4 of them) ...and
    The limited color option for the rain cover , is a no sell for us.
    Why does UNIGEAR have to plaster their BRAND NAME on the sides. ??
    3kg (6.6 lbs) is not a lightweight tent....A real lightweight tent is anywhere from 2-4 lbs in weight...not 5 or 6lbs.

    Thank you for the honest review and for taking us along on your camp out. The area looked rugged but beautiful. Do you worry about Juniper or Indy making holes in your tent? Has that ever happened? As always you're my favorite YT girl! Someone please give Clarise her own TV show. God bless

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  Год назад +1

      Big pleasure! They don't make holes but Junie has dived into the (closed) tent door thinking it would allow her through. Quite a funny scene, and she occasionally tries to sharpen her claws on some part of it. I'm working on a pet preparedness video so I'll share a bit more info on camping with the two of them. Indy is fine she knows how things work and will behave for the most part. Thanks for your comments! C

    I winter camp so usually use an ice fishing tent but this looks great for summer use.

      Ice fishing sounds fun! What features do an ice fishing tent have that dome tents in general don't? I can imagine the snow skirt and a higher water column. Anything else? No ice fishing in Africa I'm afraid... C

    Good review, looks like a reasonable tent, impressive internal space ..... you might want to consider using a sock/snake skin for the hammock, really helps keep them under control in a wind, cheers

      Thanks! I've actually found the woodland camo really useful when I've had close encounters with other people in the bush and didn't want to be found. It makes for good cover. Reminds me, I've been training Indy to duck, shush and hide. She's getting quite good at it too. Kitty, Juniper, doesn't make a lot of noise but she needs constant attention. C

      Agreed, I've decided my green tarp would be great over the tent. Still an awesome tent though. Amazingly so many people have told me they really like the bright colours. Each to their own I suppose. C

    An excellent review Clarise . I was impressed with the tent design but the colour killed it for me. I dont understand how they design a great tent but stuff up by not having earthy colours and mabye even a camo colour for people who want concealment.

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  Год назад +1

      Hey there! That was my first thought as well. However the colour has grown on me and lots of people have told me they like it. However as far as concealment goes it's not ideal. I think the green or brown tarp they make will provide concealment if you like. I must say, I am quite impressed at the tent itself. Thanks for dropping a comment, C.

    I am a female and it's just me what type of tent should I get. It's just me I won't have help putting up a tent. Please help. I need to find a tent simple and easy to put up.

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  Год назад +1

      Hi hun, I definitely think a small dome tent would suit you well as it's easy enough for a woman to set up alone even in bad weather and provides decent shelter. I like this Unigear tent because it has the awning which will allow you to cook under cover if the weather is bad. There are many on the market though so have a look around for one that suits your budget and is at least 1500HH waterproof. Here is the link to the tent in this video, it is a great option, we really are fond of it. C

      What ever tent you decide to buy, try setting it up in your backyard or inside your house. Don’t go out camping with it until your comfortable setting it up. If needed, video tape how you set it up on your phone.

    For home defense there is no better option than a Rapid Fire Tactical Crossbow (besides a firearm of course) even with just the field tip bolts they are more than capable of being a viable home defense tool, no other crossbow type is good for home defense unless you have one attacker/intruder ONLY and you already have the crossbow in a cocked state and you know that you won't miss wen you pull the trigger, you also need to be sure the first shot is going to mortally wound the attacker/intruder because that one shot is all you have, compare that to being able to take 7 accurate potentially lethal shots in under 20 seconds with a Rapid Fire Tactical Crossbow. let's talk about survival quickly, a self cocking 80lbs crossbow is perfectly capable of effectively and ethically hunting small to medium game at reasonable distances. And there is no way that you are going to be hunting big game in a survival or bug out situation or any other SHTF scenario. Plus it's compact and easy to maneuver with. In any place where firearms are restricted or difficult to get a self cocking 80 lbs crossbow with a magazine system is the only and most logical home defense option. Would you use a knife do defend your self? Well now you have the ability to stab with greater force than you can generate with your arms and a knife, and it's from a distance too, if a person cannot see the value of a system like that for home defense then that person is mentally deficient.
    Have a look on my channel for my Rapid Fire magazine system coupled with the Tactical Crossbow MK TCS2 (Alligator)
    Affordable, reliable and effective. I have sent literally thousands of shots through my system without error or failure.
