I am lucky to live in the hills… this is just like my backyard where I walk my dog…lol.. I suppose I get used to the wild flowers and the bush daily…. I moved up,here to get away from the city 20 years ago… everyone thought I was mad.. but I get to breath fresh air every day and enjoy these views
this is awesome man couple of mates and me have always wondered if there were more keen hikers living in perth, and now I've found it definitely will be sharing your channel around!
Awesome vid boys , always great to see channels doing some other Aus overnighter camping other than Victoria. Is there much options for wild camping in WA ?
Legend- appreciate it the comment so much! It is definitely limited in WA as a lot of our national parks don’t allow it. Around the Avon river close to Perth there are a few national parks that don’t specify that you can’t so as far as I know it’s fine to do. Other than that all along the bibbulman track from Perth to Albany there’s lots of options
Walyunga NP. There are some pretty good multi day loops you can design on Google Earth and then upload the file on to a GPS app. Designed a 70km loop from Bells Rapids up to Avon Valley NP and back again following the valley. About 2600m of gain/loss. There is a section of private land to stealth through. You should do a vlog of the Cape to Cape. Excellent novice hike.
Cape to cape planning is in the works and definitely making a video of that one. Are you able to share those files on GPS? Would love to try a multi day loop around there. Legend- thank you for the support and comment too.
Another great episode Jack. Improved editing & camera works. You would only need sparks to light up your stove. Always have redundancy. A back-up. " Two is One & One is None". We are confident that further down the road you will cut down the weight on your pack. We don't see a First Aid kit, extra cordages or a Knife. Nevertheless we enjoyed the vid. Cheers from Christmas Island. Looking forward to the next adventure..!!
Nice vid. Only just discovered your channel. Will have to check out your other videos. You must have snagged the last of the winter sunshine, feels like it has been raining since early August :)
Walked the darling ranges 50 years ago. Never had to worry about car windows being smashed - anywhere - not only in the bush. Times have changed. Walked Nancy's Peak in the Porongorups a few months ago with my local hiking group and when we got back to the car park, three of our five cars had been smashed into and stuff taken.
Good to see some more local guys! This video is old but most of this crew still get out that way a few times a year :) ruclips.net/video/OWlfCYjp7BY/видео.html
Finally local Aussie campers. Can’t wait to see more vids and locations to check out. Love the vids.
Thankyou so much for the comment it means a lot. There is plenty more to come so stay tuned!!
Nice to find fellow perthies who love the perth hills 😊
The best! Thanks for the comment 😊
Nothing better than seeing our beautiful Perth Hills on RUclips

So lucky- I think the hills are so underrated because of our coastline - we can enjoy it before it gets overcrowded!

Legend! Thanks so much for the comment 🙏

Legend mate! There’s plenty more to come- thank you
@@jackkermode ever think to do the bibulun track I'm doing the munda biddi on my mountain bike in December
Big time thought about it- just about finding the time!

We talking about the private track stretch along the river, down from the convention centre?
I'd recommend Mt Cooke - beaut walk and top views - highest point in the Darling Ranges. Your car wouldn't be visible from the road - Albany Highway.
Yep! Mt Cooke is next on my list of trips local to Perth
I second Mt Cooke. Best view in the hills
@@jenbanks4937 🤣 we share the same surname.
good stuff Jack!
Legend Thankyou Bhargav!!
Did I miss when they said where this is? The Perth hills cover a lot of ground!
This is the track off O’Brien road in walyunga national park!

Christmas Island! Epic- a first aid kit was a notable forgotten item on this adventure

Yep this was the rare patch of sun on a nice Saturday- thanks for the kind words
With all the rain we have had in the Hills, the bush will be perfect for wildlife and plant life 👍
Absolutely- I revisited this place this past weekend and the wildflowers are starting to bloom and water levels in the brook had doubled!
Nice video! Will need to go out there and explore soon :)
I’d recommend 100% use GPS to find your own tracks as there are so many unmarked trails that don’t get any foot traffic
like 421. cool my brothers. break the chain.
Legend Jamie - thank you!
Love your work boys
The best comment I have ever received
I think I’ve been to this park! Hope it’s not the one where my car window got smashed on my 2.5 hr hike!
Damn- this is the one on O’Brien road near gidgegannup it is a busy road and the parking spot definitely keeps ur car vulnerable to passers by

Why would you not use sounds of local wildlife?
250th sub! From Perth.
Legend thank you so much!!
Great episode. Stunning views. The footage is really vibrant too. Can I ask what you filmed this on please?
Thankyou so much! This is all filmed on a GoPro Hero 10
Are there any fish particularly trout in this flowing stream?
Not sure if you say this in the video, haven't finished it yet, but how long was the hike overall?
This is a short one- about 5km in and 5km out so 10 in total
Should have just set up 1 tent for both 😂no point trying to look straight 😂
Haha the second tent was just for show
Yeah i thought so 😅 very hot 🔥 woof ❤
Garry tends to go from tent to tent.
He’s quite the virtuoso on the meat whistle.
15:28 lol "I've got an AR" what channel am I watching...
Hahaha my bad habit of throwing it a big AR ever 5 seconds
Brokeback?
Yep this is episode 1
