Since this episode was broadcast in 1996, there are a couple of things that Tony mentioned that have been on television:
2:29 - In 1998, The Royle Family was first broadcast, a sitcom centered on people sitting down, hour after hour, watching television.
20:26 - In 1997, Channel 5 was first broadcast, and its news bulletins featured its anchors standing up.
This was so funny..Gary and Tony are just hilarious together . They wouldn't make comedy like this today for fear of offending someone..But I love this show.😊
Good eye. The skinny fightogram man was in The IT Crowd as Moss' friend in the 'Game Board' videos he made.
So many great little bits in the episode, but the job interview and Gary on the telephone booking the guy were my favourites 😂

It shows how much society has changed. 30 years ago people laughed at the idea of a TV show where it showed people sitting watching TV. And here we are in the modern day where they have a show called 'Gogglebox' which is a show watching people watch TV... And there are people that watch this!!

I put the playlist on in the background and fell asleep, woke up and the playlist had ended, i thought i had napped for 6 hours 🤣 but then saw some of the clips are just short videos.
I hate beingin the car with my misses ...she thinks nothing of giving the gestures to other drivers who have annoyed her..then expects me to bail her out haha..my answer ..put your foot down..😂 👍 👍

Loved this one!! My UK bestie is gay & gossips just presume what Tony did LOLOL ....... UK road rage is one thing, but in France, I was CHASED about 30Km around Paris, the guy was a psycho, trying to hit my car with his & spin me off the road! All I did was break when the car in front of me did in the fast lane! SCARY! Snacks: Chips (fries) and dips & strawberry ribena

I always said they should have done a comic relief special 1 off of this show. They could of had Deb move out of the flat above and had Tom and Linda move in, that would have been 1 hell of an episode.

Well, there was the Comic Relief special 'Men Behaving Very Badly', where the guys reminisce about their interests before a familiar looking stranger breaks down outside the flat... :)
good episode kid, my favourite part was when tony was in the pub and Tony was messing up what he was saying when Deb and her friend was in ordering their drinks hahaha,

You may be interested to know that Caroline Quentin (who plays Dorothy in MBB) had a small role in "The Trouble with Mr Bean" (episode 5) as the parking inspector just before Bean enters the Dentist office...😄👌
If you re-watched your own reaction vid to that one, you can see how young "Dorothy" looked back then 😏
