Of all new car reviews this is car I would love test drive n Leyland mini is benchmark. Awesome design with nice Matt dark blue makes car look sinster, 60k is way off my budget especially unless I wasn’t farming but definitely buy one.
Cupra is the best in class I’ve reviewed for the money.. not cheap… but not 6 figures.. they are making impressive cars I have to say
Same driveline and tune as the golf GTi club sport I believe. Plus the cupra looks amazing in the Matt colour..

my old scirocco was just 188kw stock and was around 5.8s 0-100 and if rainy or just cool, it use to axle tramp like an absolute maniac lmao.
But along a windy road, with sticky tires its still the best car for that purpose ive owned. ive had GTiR, Mazda 3 mps, ecoboost, M135i. Light, wide fwd VAG products through windy roads are the best
Nice review and neat car. It’s great to bring in some competition to the Golfs, Audis and Renos. 1.2g acceleration on the Dragy going into second gear is pretty impressive too. Usual front wheel drive curse off the line though.

Great review Johnno, now that you're bringing us Euros and you made it blatantly obvious that you have a passion for Latinos, I'm hoping you can review an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. Alfa claims 505hp, top speed 307km and 0 to 100 in 3.7 seconds from its 2.9 litre twin turbo V6. They're out there but I'm yet to see an Aussie review. Cheers for the upload.👍

Whilst i love the sound of an 8 and the rush of a turbo 6 i feel that hot hatches are the most legal fun you can have in a car.
They are very fun because you can really push them hard whilst yes still somewhat being legal on the speed 🤣
The King obviously is the Rs3 not the Golf R...
I’m saying off all the cars with this engine EA888 (rs3 Is much more expensive also)

Amazing how many of the tuned cars are even, if not slower than thier stock acceleration numbers.
It’s impressive.. I was shocked it got the claimed number in the wet..
@@Andrewdoesbass it’s normal. Once you get past around 260-300rwkw in a RWD car you tend to get slower 0-100km/h.
@@MrTroytroy I recon it's more of a symptom of people allocating money towards power mods for dyno sheet rather than wheels, tyres and decent suspension. My G6e turbo had 375wkw but 275 rear tyres with pilot cups, harrop lsd and decent suspension/sway bars and did great off the line.

@@Andrewdoesbass and a lot of manufacturers claims were extremely optimistic. Tyres and surface very much matters too

Man I love this car. I own a tuned 7R which is all and more than I ask...but I went to Germany this year and drove a Cupra 300 round the nurburgring and I am now addicted! Cupra have done an amazing job with the platform. Could almost say it is the best MQB platform but maybe the 8r? Though this is about 20k cheaper...so why wouldnt you!

I own the wagon version of for over a year it’s 4 wheel drive it’s the most fun car I’ve driven the best thing is not many car owners know about it so when your on the motorway and someone’s comes up behind you and on your ass just put it in launch mode and say goodbye, and hopefully you don’t get pulled over 😂
This car is just so good.. i can’t fault it and for 2023 there isn’t anything much better in the class! This was a gem

I never buy any car unless i take it overnight to make sure its something I really want and they said no so crossing Cupra off as a brand to buy from lol just like I did with Ford when I asked for a Mustang lol. Never had issues with Audi, Chyrsler when I did that. Audi was probably the best out of all the dealers Ive been to, let me take any car I wanted to check out until I found the one I wanted. Looks like im sticking to Audi lol.

I was impressed by them but I heard someone say every time you telll someone you own one you will spend 30 minutes explaining what a Cupra is.. which is pretty reflective of a lot of the comments 😅

OMG ross whats after the Camry perhaps a hot datsun 120y fitted with trick hotdog muffler, 1-1/4 inch sports exhaust, jetted 350 holley, 3/4-race cam , shaved head white wall tyres, rear vision mirror fluffy dice, fox tail hanging off car aerial, full race harness, a street weapon, capable of sub low 20 sec quarter times valve bouncing at 4k, if you carnt find a datsun 120y how about the next best thing a valiant charger, never seen you cane a 265 or mopar small block, say hi to your Mom for me

Half the car for full size car prices. Never made sense to me how they could put such a high price. The size of the car means less materials needed to assemble. So why would you buy it considering the enermous price. And that goes for any small car with ridiculas prices. And, finally a new brand scares the hell out of me because you don't have a track record on build qaulity and reliability. I prefer to stick to what i know.
