Harriet! It is lovely. You do make it look easy, but I will give it a go. I love the little detail at the end, makes the tulips look very dimensional. Thank you!!

So lovely Harriet! Quick story for you. I painted the tulips from your book on a bookmark a few months back. The following Saturday a woman stopped by our beach home and asked if she could see the house once again because she’d grown up in it, and sadly was dying from cancer. She cried on and off during our little tour and when we entered my studio I handed her a pile of bookmarks and said pick one. She picked the tulips saying she always loved tulips. I never felt so good about a little watercolor painting in my life. Just wanted you to know you had a part in bringing joy to this beautiful woman Dena. Blessings to you!

@@deWintonPaperCo you’re welcome Harriet. Yes, through our creativity we are bringing beautiful art into the world. Especially with botanicals which have such a short life here. Beauty through creativity helps brighten our days here and we can share the creations with others and brighten theirs. It is a win-win situation.

I have your first book, and just pre-ordered the 2nd one, can't wait! This 10-min type of tutorial is such a wonderful idea. I sometimes gets discouraged from getting started on a project, simply because the idea of setting aside a couple of hours to half a day seems unrealistic. But a 10-15 min project, surely anyone can find time for that.

Hi Harriet - I've been having loads of fun watching your videos and taking your tips to heart. I've been a little obsessed with miniature things lately while I've been re-learning watercolor. Your "How to Paint..." series has been perfect and I've attempted &/or combined a few of your lessons on to 2" x 1.75" tiny pieces of watercolor paper. I mounted them into little mini frames and am excited to give them as gifts soon. I thought I'd send you a couple of photos to show you but I'll admit I'm really not good at social media in general and don't know how. Anyway, thanks again for posting these wonderful and informative videos :)

What a lovely painting. You make it look so easy. I am going to try it though. I'm a beginner. I noticed in your notes you list French Ultramarine blue, but I thought you said cobalt blue in the video. Which blue did you use? It's so pretty. I ask because I'm slowly building a palette. Thank you. 🙂
