Also I always leave one leg loose so I can move around a house faster. Going down tight hallways and in between furniture with the one leg loose really speeds up my process. When I go position my tripod I only have to kick out the one loose leg.
I always squeeze the legs together when I’m walking around houses. These tripods are so ideal for real estate and even landscape photography.

I am currently using a K&F Concept tripod with a ball head and like it but I will never buy those twist arms again. I broke two lens because of them. I'm all about speed when I shoot RE (13 years now) and you can't tell if they are all the way tight compared to the latch type and I had the tripod fall over two times so be careful with them. Totally my mistake but I need to visually see the latch closed.
I did the same thing with the latch one, but totally my fault too. I smashed my samyang 14mm into a million pieces at a real estate shoot about 3yrs ago. I’m only adjusting one segment of each leg so I make sure the others are always tight, but I totally know what you mean. I’m pretty ocd about making sure legs are tight, but mistakes happen.
