Come to Maryland this summer and stay on Assateague Island and then you can have the best time surfing and enjoying Ocean City Maryland and the ponies and access to lots of different things
I and my brother in law, who runs a campground in PA, love watching you two. Love how you make stress fun. I always look at the humor in stressful situations. We have to remember life is to short to take everything too seriously.
Wow! This was so awesome. I was sitting here working and my Messenger was blowing up with friends telling me about the video. I'm so happy y'all liked everything. The Llama pens are the best. Thanks for the shout-out. Big hugs! Logan, Rockett, and Uncle Mac.
Your one lucky man to have a mechanical minded girl! Hope you know how good you've got it! Always enjoy the antics. Thanks for the fridge info. Happy travels.
It can be a blessing and a curse, depending on how you look at it! I’m quite mechanically/engineering inclined (thanks Papaw) and, for the most part, my husband loves it! Buttttt, when he’s worked really hard on something and then I come behind him and say, “do you think it might be easier/better if we changed it to this way?,” and it is, indeed, easier/better to change it, it definitely frustrates him that he didn’t see what I saw to begin with! 😂😂😂
@@HappilyEverHanks I think that’s the case for most! Lol Thankfully, my husband isn’t the type to get butt hurt over it, or, even worse, dismiss my ideas all together, but he definitely gets embarrassed (read “feels like a ding dong”) that he missed it in the first place! 😂😂 Glad to hear that NeyNey gets her glory when it’s deserved…and by glory I mean that priceless look on her husband’s face when he realizes she’s right!! 😂😜
#Thanks Hanks: Your fifth wheel has a lot of garage space available for storage. Rv manufactures have been making slide out storage compartments that slide out from an RV garage. Maybe you could look at either making two half drawer slide outs for your RV garage on each side, or one long slide out that runs the length of the garage, or double slide outs, because the garage is deep enough to accommodate this. Here is a link to an RVer who made a slide out for his 18BH. Growing up I spent my life going out on boats, whether it was on the Puget Sound or on a ferry. In my opinion, the ocean can be a vicious witch from hell that is extremely unforgiving. The ocean has unexpected storms with gale force winds that come out of nowhere and come up fast. More than one schooner has sunk to the bottom of the ocean, during a freak storm. Safety is paramount for me, especially when I'm hundreds of miles from medical help and supplies, floating on an ocean for weeks with no land in site. The pirates of the Carribean don't make the situation any better for mariners. Yes, I'm not joking, because there are pirates of the Carribean sailing the waters today and looting passing by schooners the way that they did hundreds of years ago. Except in modern speed boats with engines designed to outrun schooners, without an established military force to repel the pirates with. Often law enforcement in a port of call, in a foreign country will look the other way and nothing happens to the pirates for their raiding ways. I would tend to look at taking a cruise with a reputable cruise company to the Caribbean from Florida and back.-Happy Trails ruclips.net/video/7bIBHvhewhw/видео.htmlsi=hOF-jbIbMphDhntQ
In Wisconsin at the end of July there is the EAA international show in Oshkosh. EAA is experimental aircraft association. There is camping for like Thousands. You might want to check it out.
Hey y’all… Tin foil, also spelled tinfoil, is a thin foil made of tin. Tin foil was superseded after World War II by cheaper and more durable aluminium foil, which is still referred to as "tin foil" in many regions. 🤗
Thanks for another fun Thursday afternoon with the Hanks. You’re both always so entertaining. It’s our dream to hit the road one day, but since it’s not really possible for us at the moment, we enjoy watching Hanks’ shenanigans as well as your helpful tips and tricks. #ThanksHanks
Destination HD-new reality show. Camping with the Hanks. Lol. Good job with the troubleshooting. Our rig has a 12v fridge since it came with solar panels the fridge stays on all the time. It’s a thermostat guys. Lol not thermoster
It's similar to a thermostat but a thermistor works as a resistance thermometer so a little different. That reality show might be able to handle us 🤣 ~Ney Ney
The two best days in a man’s life- the day buys a boat, and the day he sells his boat!😂 We are in the process of buying our first travel trailer (well, we had a tent trailer when our kids were young;) A GD Imagine xls18rbe and found you guys last week while trying to educate ourselves! Now we are enjoying your wealth of info, learning lots, and laughing often, but couldn’t help but comment on this post, because we had a small Bayliner (also 18 ft:) which we have loved for years, but don’t use it as much anymore and are going to sell it to help pay for the trailer! Hope you find lots of friends and enjoy their boats for many years to come. Having your own is just more maintenance nightmares- and I doubt that Dexter would enjoy it 😅
We took a 4 tier 18X36 plastic shelf unit and put each shelf with the legs under them separately in the front storage bin. I think we only used 3 of the shelves. The legs under each shelf is the perfect height to be able to store items below and on top of the shelf.
Storage? Rolling cart with drawers. Walmart $17. Get three. One for grilling and outside bbq stuff, one for out door supplies like bug spray, tablecloth, sun screen. Works great. Roll it forward forward to reach and slides back into place easily.
I'm all about "Red Shirt Friday" and have been for 20 years. Ok, just a reminder, because you asked. Savannah Ga. Charleston SC. Charlotte NC has The National White Water Center. We are about ready to kick off our camping season! My wife is a teacher so you know what that means! Yes, we are poor, but summertime vacation! I so enjoy yall's channel. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
If y’all are headed up north, y’all need to stop in Wildwood New Jersey. I recommend Holly Shores campground. Wildwood has the beach, boardwalk, great restaurants, and awesome rides.
At work we always wear RED on Fridays for remembering all branches of service. I never served, but I try to thank all service members when I see them. Karl, I see the guitar in many videos. Prop, or talent. Let’s hear a rendition of a good song you know how to play!. There are only two of you??!! How bad can laundry day be? I get it. I would opt out for a washer and dryer in an RV as well. Stay safe my friends. Keep on keeping on!
We have the same issues with our fridge!! 🙄. We are getting ready to install the fan outside and now will certainly look at the internal thermostat…thanks for that! Safe travels and keep those family videos rolling!! ❤️🍹
If you haven't already done it. go up the west "coast" of Michigan all the way and then over the bridge. lots of neat little towns. Plus Sleeping Bear Dunes.
You two are great! I love how you keep it real, my husband and I are talking about going fulltime rving and watching your tips has really been enlightening. Also, hi to dexter 💕
I am not affiliated with this company, just me trying to be a better person to our earth and thought I’d share…found this laundry detergent product …takes up very little room, like the size of an envelope filed with some letters. No huge horrible plastic bottles! ‘Tru Earth ‘ is the product. It’s a really good product. Tried to copy and paste, but don’t do well at that. Thank you again for your fantastic video! You guys are the highlight of my week! ❤️
How to organize your storage space...Milwaukee has a, “Pach-N-Go”, what-ma-call-it...thing-A-ma-gigger, that has drawer components and a rack mount 😉 P.S. DeWalt, and Harbor Freight have also made similar pack-N-Go thing’ies too. OOOh, I like your tool roll up, “tool sleeping bag” 😊
Hi guys….it me again! 😉 Love that little roll up tool bag. Does it come in pink? Just kidding, I hate pink! Almost done with school for this year….that’s one year closer to retirement for me. Did I mention I’m a science teacher ?!? So….this summer I’m going to start shopping for my rv…won’t purchase unless I find an AMAZING detail…but it’s getting closer. I’m with Nay Nay….I love using tools and fixing things. If you are heading north for the summer, you MUST come to Washington! We have it all…beaches, mountains, rivers (white water rafting) and deserts. We have big cities, quaint towns…and lots of national parks. You will not be disappointed. Plus, I could take you to dinner! 😘 Thanks for the great video…see ya next week! ❤️❤️
Science was our favorite in school! We still nerd out over science stuff on the youtube! Love Washington. We did white water rafting on the skycomish july 2020! IT was awesome!
Our fridge broke last year had to replace all 3 fans on the back. We only had the camper for 4 months and only used the camper 2 times before it broke. Hoping it works this year. Heading out in 10 days
The common household foil USED to be made out of Tin, pre-WWII. During WWII, due to rations and shortages of many materials (Tin), companies came up with aluminum foil. "Tin Foil" has, then to now, become a misnomer / generic term for foil, kinda like "Band-Aid". Who do you know that says; "I need an adhesive bandage." . . . Currently realizing I'm responding to two ER Nurses who quite possible say "Adhesive Bandage" so commonly like a Nave Nuke Tech would ask for a glass of H2Oand think nothing odd of the wording. 🤔
Hey guys! We’re having a lot of fun watching your videos from the beginning. We love our RV! I saw Kyle lugging that heavy bottle of laundry detergent around. I switched to laundry detergent sheets about a year ago, they’re so much smaller for the RV. I’ll never go back to the big bottle! I use one sheet for normal loads and 2 sheets if it’s a really gross or really big load :). I use Kind laundry detergent sheets from Amazon.
I have a 24ft pontoon boat, me and my wife enjoy it in the summer. It actually has a refrigerator, a sink, and 15 gallon of fresh water capacity. Also in one corner of the rear it has a pop-up changing area with a portable toilet that holds 5gal of water to flush it. Only hassle is you have to carry it to a dump station to empty it. I just bought a small camper! It's a 2011 viewfinder. Can't wait for summer, we will probably see you all out there somewhere. Party on Hanks!
Love joining you each week! Tonight is a rainy, windy night, IN the forest, with hubby on a road trip…and I’m all alone with our two puppies, starting to get a little nervous with the creaking trees, and your video made me laugh! Glad it wasn’t the tree falling on the RV episode!!
Well, guys, you know I am going to insist that you come back to Michigan!!! Upper peninsula has a lot of amazing sights to see! Pictured Rocks, Copper Harbor, Porcupine Mountains and more! Lighthouses, bears and Lake Superior shoreline! Yes! The Mighty Mac (bridge) and Mackinac Island! You gotta come!
Our fridge froze everything and we thought it was the thermistor but it actually snapped off the board so we had to buy a new board. Now we have an extra thermistor and feel pretty confident in fixing it again if we need to.
Lifelong advice, as much as you can stuff into a regular grocery plastic bag is what will fit into a regular single washing machine, that is how I have always separated my laundry when having to go to a laundromat.
Y’all crack us up. When Kyle makes the joke about going to the grocery store and y’all not getting enough time together 🤣 This is so D every time I’m like “wanna go to the store with me.” 🤣
We love our bucket boss! It’s seriously the way to go to organize tools/supplies. Great gift idea… Before changing to a 12v fridge, we struggled with the rv fridge in high altitude. Glad you go yours fixed. Thank you both for sharing!
You are always so helpful with your info. We always look forward to your new videos. Are you going to the GD National owners Rally in late August? Happy travels the Wandering Walters Fawn & Bill
Great video it felt like we were watching the hanks with Carl. Laurel also love to fix things she was a helicopter mechanic in the army so makes sence lol...
Laurel was a helicopter mechanic?! Her awesomeness level just went up to the 100th floor! Here I just thought she was an awesome nurse and I find out she was a knuckle buster! What a catch mike!
@@thompsona10625 i hit it out of the park with her ....she worked on the Oh-58 kiowa was air assult qualified and served in desert storm.....yes my wife is a bad ass lol
You guys should come to upstate New York! The Finger Lakes. Lakes, gorges and the best wine and beer trails. About 2 hours from Niagra Falls, and beautiful state parks. Come check us out!
I installed the MoRryde cargo slide about two years ago and love it. I can get to items in the middle of the basement without having to unpack and repack the stuff in the front. Sure it was expensive but after using it for a couple of years it was a well worth investment.
A lot going on there! LOL. As far as the placement of the thermistor, we have a slide on one of the fins (barely noticeable) that is used to adjust the temperature. I believe our thermistor is attached to the slide. I would take a picture of it and send it to you but our RV is at the dealer right now getting the windshield day shade motor replaced. Nice organization on the tools but you find out that's a lifelong chore. It never goes away. Safe travels.
My daughter is a MP in the Army and she’s stationed in Germany. I’m leaving this coming Monday to go visit her and I’m so excited!!! I’ll be there just over 2 weeks and it’s my first trip out of the country……1st stamp in my new Passport!! All this (yes #Karl I go way around the point too🤣) to say, thank you for honoring our soldiers!! Love your videos!!
I love your videos, always informative but also entertaining 😄 We just sold our house and plan on being in the RV by summer...I've been binging your videos in preparation lol 😆
When I lived in Florida while wife and son moved to Utah for a year until I could get here, I used one of those giant washers at the laundry mat. I intentionally only had black and grey clothes. Shirts, pants, shorts, towels, underwear, and socks. I could one and done it in one of those bad boys and laundry every 2 weeks took a total of less than 2 hours. lol
Number one thing does Dexter have his list of things to do! And you do know Dexter is the expert. And personally I think that's Dexter's beer! Excellent video great work Dexter's washer was it expensive but he's got to pay for all of his expenses and his treats also
Great vids! On your travels in the south, we would recommend Cloudland Canyon in NW Georgia. On costal South Carolina, Hunting Island State Park is great. Coast North Carolina, the outer banks just south of Kitty Hawk. Just outside Charleston SC, James Island City Park is really close to town and is a great campground.
Tin foil is stiffer than aluminium foil. It tends to give a slight tin taste to food wrapped in it, which is a major reason it has largely been replaced by aluminium and other materials for wrapping food.
We had the boat, 19 ft. bow rider. Best day of my life was when I got it. We were all over NE Florida with it. But got tired of the boat reality. BOAT = Bust Out Another Thousand. It is true that the second best day is when you sell your boat. We are so happy RVing instead. Best boat to have, is a friends boat.
Hola, love your channel! We have a lot in common! I’m an RN (ER and Infusion) from Coeur d’ Alene. My husband and I “retired” and sold everything, except our car and Retro RV, and have been living in Mexico for the past 9 months. We’ll be heading back home in June to pick up our car and trailer and heading out to RV for the summer! Also, I grew up on a sailboat (from age 7 until the 8th grade). Loved it! Love to sail! We had two dogs and a cat. The cat did fine except when she would wonder off to sleep on other boats while we were tired up to do laundry and buy groceries. Not fun when you’ve set sail and can’t find the cat! I look forward following more of the Hank adventures! Take care and have fun!
I know you're always interested in what other full-timers have discovered. Our best hike ever (less than 3 miles) was to Twin Arches Upper Loop in Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area, northeastern TN. We spend most of our time in federal campgrounds, Corps of Engineers, National Forests etc. Super affordable and beautiful. So far we've had no problem booking on the fly. Avoided all the tornadoes this winter and spring, too, with the help of RUclips weatherman Ryan Hall Y'all. Always look forward to Thursdays because of you!
That was a cool style of video in the beginning with you watching with us, maybe do it again but Ney Ney watches. maybe a suggestion for your fear of the snap pads falling off, try taking one off with your hands to see how easy it would be to take off.
We love out MorRyde pull out drawer!! Carl, it will organize your storage compartment, actually gives you so much more room once you put things in bins and stack on the drawer
**Edit** The further you move the thermistor to the top on the fin, the cooler the refrigerator should become. The further down you move the thermistor on the fin, the warmer the refrigerator should become. Sometimes it helps to use a clothespin or paper clamp to keep the thermistor in place. Also check that the opposite end of the thermistor wire that goes down into the back of the fridge hasn't pulled out.
According to the googles, tin foil was used prior to WWII. It was replaced by aluminum foil because it’s cheaper and more durable. This is why it’s understandable that some people still refer to it as tin foil. So you’re both right…. Isn’t that the best resolution to a marital disagreement? Love u guys!
We couldn’t get our fridge to cool so I took it out and sold it for $450. Went to Lowes and bought a Magic Chef fridge. Over 2.5 CU more room in the same space as the old one. Looks better also. And doesn’t need propane!! And gets cold in five to six hours.
Ok, I'm not done with the video yet, but 2 things. 1) If there was a dead give away that your from eastern PA was Ney Ney saying that Carl was gonna "go with". I never heard this before until I went to Penn College in Willamsport. 2) Clearly it is Aluminum Foil. I mean come on Carl. ITS WRITTEN ON THE BOX!!! Love the video, Love the channel. We too have had Norcold Refrigerator issues. A new fridge, one lost job (rv service rep) New fridge did the same as the old. And one ARP fridge defend. Now it works great! No more issues. HMU if you want more info on ARP.
Need to check out the north shore of MN Duluth,MN to the Canadian border. A lot of parks and a lot of water falls, parks go hiking. Or see the big 1000ft ships go through canal park in Duluth, MN plus 2 light houses. Just a lot of beautiful scenery.

Right!
storage bins on rollers is the best thing I have seen yet, curious what you do with this. We love you guys!
There’s a nice campground outside of Ocean City NJ!! Very close to the beach and boardwalk!!
Whippoorwill Campground ⛺️
One of my favorite vid u have done! Love all of them though and look forward to thursdays!
Aluminum Tin Foil !...
We really Appreciate how Dexter keeps Carl in check and Ney-Ney on her toes.

You know we love MI 😃
Our fridge froze everything and we thought it was the thermistor but it actually snapped off the board so we had to buy a new board. Now we have an extra thermistor and feel pretty confident in fixing it again if we need to.
I love you guys BUT sometimes I put the playback speed at 1.5x . Or I’ll be sitting and watching allllll day long. ❤️you guys!
I have some inner tubes. We can float the river in them. Don’t knock it until you try it. It’s a right of passage here in Idahome
Lifelong advice, as much as you can stuff into a regular grocery plastic bag is what will fit into a regular single washing machine, that is how I have always separated my laundry when having to go to a laundromat.
I hate laundry day too 😫 happy refrigerator was a simple fix!
Hey hey hey Hanks!
Have a great weekend friend! Cheers! 😃 👋🏼
@@HappilyEverHanks you three have a great one too!!
Y’all crack us up. When Kyle makes the joke about going to the grocery store and y’all not getting enough time together 🤣 This is so D every time I’m like “wanna go to the store with me.” 🤣
LOL #relatable 😂 Hope you guys are doing well!! Cheers!
We love our bucket boss! It’s seriously the way to go to organize tools/supplies. Great gift idea…
Before changing to a 12v fridge, we struggled with the rv fridge in high altitude. Glad you go yours fixed.
Thank you both for sharing!
Isn't it the best!? Thank you! Those 12v fridges seem so nice!!
I've been wearing the red shirt every Friday for over a year now. Heard about it thru Tumblr.
You are always so helpful with your info. We always look forward to your new videos. Are you going to the GD National owners Rally in late August? Happy travels the Wandering Walters Fawn & Bill
Thank you very much Fawn and Bill 🤗 We really appreciate this! We are not going to that rally this year, hopefully we can see ya guys soon!!
WOW! Laurel is a total bad ass!! So great to hear from you guys :) Stay warm up there!!
I didn't know red on Friday support the troops! I shall do this. I will do this right now!
Thank you! we ordered our t-shirts tonight ~ can't wait to wear them for our first trip to Cape May, NJ :)
Yes!! Love it! 😃
We love the pull out drawer. Worth the $$
You guys should come to upstate New York! The Finger Lakes. Lakes, gorges and the best wine and beer trails. About 2 hours from Niagra Falls, and beautiful state parks. Come check us out!
We love the Finger Lakes!! We haven't been there in a long time and hope that we can visit again soon :)
In Louisiana you should stop at Jimmie Davis state park. It's really nice
Sorry buddy. I don’t know how I feel about your guys “rockin my boat”! 😄
Loving your escapades. Board game suggestion: Qwirkle! Even more convenient on an iPad!
I installed the MoRryde cargo slide about two years ago and love it. I can get to items in the middle of the basement without having to unpack and repack the stuff in the front. Sure it was expensive but after using it for a couple of years it was a well worth investment.
Down south it's going around Carter's barn. Long stories take multiple trips around the barn, love y'all's vids.
There is SO misch to do in NC. The beach, the mountains, the Biltmore House, Cherokee, Blue Ridge Parkway, etc.!
Thanks Denny! 😃
Love that!! Have a safe trip! ❤️
Alpacas!!!!! That scarf I’d gorgeous!!!! You both are so cute. Love the roll up tool bag!
Aww thank you so much Kim!! Thank you for your wonderful support! :)
I love your videos, always informative but also entertaining 😄 We just sold our house and plan on being in the RV by summer...I've been binging your videos in preparation lol 😆
Thank you very much Mallory! 🤗 This is so exciting to hear! Keep these great comments coming!
When I lived in Florida while wife and son moved to Utah for a year until I could get here, I used one of those giant washers at the laundry mat. I intentionally only had black and grey clothes. Shirts, pants, shorts, towels, underwear, and socks. I could one and done it in one of those bad boys and laundry every 2 weeks took a total of less than 2 hours. lol
Mohican state park in Ohio ! Great hiking and kayaking. Boating on pleasant hill lake.
Coming to Colorado? Lord to do here. Lots to do in the mountains! And the Sand Dunes. And hot springs and even the high plains grasslands.
Number one thing does Dexter have his list of things to do! And you do know Dexter is the expert. And personally I think that's Dexter's beer! Excellent video great work Dexter's washer was it expensive but he's got to pay for all of his expenses and his treats also
Thanks for your support; at my job in California we do red shirt Fridays thanks guys have a Good Friday
NOt sure but maybe tin foil is like an old school way to say it and love you guys. You both are the best and love your channel. Say hi to Dexter.
Thanks for sharing!
Great job NeyNey for keeping those Yellow jackets cold. Lol
Another great day with the Hanks. Thanks for sharing all the daily and fix its, the real stuff is what makes everyone feel part of the group.
Thanks for the laugh today.
You guys are so awesome
Now you tell us not to go camping in the freezing cold. We lived through a whole MN winter in our RV and had no idea.. 😂
Happened to us in our 5'th wheel years ago...yep...our TT we got has the 12V fridge...fingers crossed...only had 4 months tho..
Now I see how Carl keeps so trim. He pushes his luck really hard. Kyle remember "Happy Wife, Happy Wife". It's worked for me for nearly 49 years...
LOL Thank you for watching Kevin :)
Nice to meet you Merri! Thanks for checking out our content! We've done a video on Couer d' Alene and just love northern ID !
Thanks for the laughs tonight, you guys remind us of ourselves! We cracked up several times! See ya next week.
Those campgrounds are a favorite of ours too! Thanks Barbara!
That was a cool style of video in the beginning with you watching with us, maybe do it again but Ney Ney watches. maybe a suggestion for your fear of the snap pads falling off, try taking one off with your hands to see how easy it would be to take off.
This is great!! Thank you so much 😊
We love out MorRyde pull out drawer!! Carl, it will organize your storage compartment, actually gives you so much more room once you put things in bins and stack on the drawer
This is great Susie! Thank you so much :) They sound awesome!
Thanks for the tips! Enjoy watching your videos! Red Friday! Thanks for sharing!
**Edit**
The further you move the thermistor to the top on the fin, the cooler the refrigerator should become. The further down you move the thermistor on the fin, the warmer the refrigerator should become. Sometimes it helps to use a clothespin or paper clamp to keep the thermistor in place. Also check that the opposite end of the thermistor wire that goes down into the back of the fridge hasn't pulled out.
Interesting! Ours was not cooling properly either and we have fans inside...didn't seem to help much.
@@claravanderzouwen5640 you may need a new thermistor.
Love this Katrinna!! You rock 🤗
We couldn’t get our fridge to cool so I took it out and sold it for $450. Went to Lowes and bought a Magic Chef fridge. Over 2.5 CU more room in the same space as the old one. Looks better also. And doesn’t need propane!! And gets cold in five to six hours.
This is awesome to hear Michael! We never thought of this before :) Thank you for sharing!!
🤣
Need to check out the north shore of MN Duluth,MN to the Canadian border. A lot of parks and a lot of water falls, parks go hiking. Or see the big 1000ft ships go through canal park in Duluth, MN plus 2 light houses. Just a lot of beautiful scenery.
