Still can't get mine to pair. Everyone else in the house can. I have tried going to different rooms the only difference is they have iPhones and I have a Android and my cell service is Verizon theirs are not but we have the same wifi so that shouldn't matter. This is getting on my nerves 😒

When i try to do it it says on my phone to get the 5 digit code and the vr doesnt have the code
Mine says the same thing. I do remember seeing that code when I first started the headset to do the initial setup. But I don't remember the code and I didn't think to write it down. So if you find a way to retrieve that code, please let me know. I'm having the same problems as you. Only other option I can think of is to do a hard reset on the headset and start all over. This time writing the 5 digit code down for future use. Good luck & happy gaming!

Mine Paired successfully, but when i went to purchase Virtual desktop in the oculus store, it says i needed to set up my Oculus quest or it wont work , and when i went to check the app, it wasnt connected any more.

@@amyscott9496 yea i had to turn off bluetooth on my phone, then turn thr oculus off and then turn headset back on then bluetooth on my phone then it asked to pair
after you done all these steps, do you just load up a game on the oculus app on your phone and it will just pop up on your oculus? And can u play without the wires?
Probably already figured out but the headset has all the hardware built in. All connecting your phone does is let you like buy stuff while not on the oculus and allows you to see the screen from your phone

@@reyisfire8454 try to download the oculus app on another device if you have one. It helps if it's a more up to date newer device probably. At first when I had a problem it was on an LG v30. A high end phone that should've had no problems viewing the cast. Now I have an s22 ultra and there's no problems. A newer model phone that's being updated to this day. V30s last update was well over a year ago? So that may have something to do with the supported devices for oculus casting. Or simply use a more powerful device like a tablet or computer. But you may need to use the browser cast for those if the app isn't available
For me when it says “Pairing your quest 2” it never leaves that screen. I left it on for 30 minutes and it didn’t work. Any solutions? My brother might have paired it to his phone, does it not connect to more than one phone?

You can find your pairing code in settings under the about tab at the bottom of the page and use it to connect your headset

what do you do when it tells you to put in a 5 digit code in the oculus but it has a code longer than 5 when you look into your oculus for it?
I have the same issue but can’t seem to find a solution anywhere.
Just go to the settings on your headset, go to the about section, and then scroll down till you see the pairing code. That’s the code you use.

Mine says the 5 digit code is incorrect and to make sure it is correct. I’m pretty sure I’ve put in the correct code 5X . Won’t work. Gave it a break for now. Will try again later.

Please help I had to do a Factory reset on my Oculus Quest 2 and now it asking me again to pull the plastic off the controllers. These were pulled out already and I cannot connect my controllers to my headset. The Headset is paired to my phone but the controllers won't. can anybody help?
You might need to replace the batteries to your controllers :)

You can know what ur pairing code in the headset’s settings. Go to the device info and it’s there. This is a permanent code so it never changes
Go to settings-> system-> about-> and look for code

Alright. I finally figured it out. If you're having trouble finding the 5 digit code a hard reset is probably needed. For a hard reset, I held down the Power button and Minus Volume Down button for 15 seconds. There's going to be 2 or 3 prompts after that which look like a PC Computer when it crashes. Click the reboot tab and then the Yes tab to acknowledge you're fully resetting everything. Follow the directions below.
For those of you who just bought one and are fixing to set it up, AS SOON as you turn on the Oculus, DONT PRESS anything. Look directly in front of you and up a little bit. There's a 5 digit code automatically. Open your Occulus App, run through the device connect prompts and then enter that 5 digit code when the Oculus App asks for it.
It should be straight forward from there. It's been a frustrating process for me. I shouldn't had let my teenager attempt to set this up on their own.

Hello and merry Christmas new quest users
This was a pain in the butt as it kept just showing quest 2 disclosure and nothing else. I was finally able to get it to pair after signing back out and getting it merged with my facebook account properly
What do mean about signing back out? Every time I open the app it only offers the choice to pair. Even when I deleted the app and downloaded it again it did not ask to reconnect with FB.

@@ajreid2529 yes, thank you for asking. It was a problem with my phone. I rebooted my phone and oculus and it fixed the problem after several tries. For some reason my phone kept turning off Bluetooth. I don’t know if some other selection in my phone allowed for the bluetooth to remain on but what ever was causing the problem cleared up. I am glad I finally connect, oculus was about to to back to the store.

@@arefrigerator396 Thanks I got it to work! but shutting off and restarting both devices didn't help, I had to put the phone in bluetooth searching mode and THEN the devices finally found each other. Just having bluetooth active wasn't enough.
