    I like it. You can’t outrun a bad diet. I wont bore you with the gourmet pizza I ate yesterday I could not out exercise 😂 I used to run a lot and was always getting injured. Weight training and walking I almost never get injured. Thank you 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

      Glad you liked it! Nothing inherently wrong with running, but it's not for everyone. I don't run anymore either.

    Your body is looking great Ivana. I agree with you that the key word here is "consistency". Consistency as in your nutrition (calories, macros, and etc.), weight training, and even cardio.

    Completely agree with this. Relying on HIT for fat loss is not sustainable and you are most likely risking losing muscle. I lost so much weight with long hours of HIT but gained it all back because it was not sustainable and I was not prioritizing my diet. I went from fat to skinny but also with no muscle gain or knowledge on diet. Now I rely on walks and weight lifting and have been seeing great results.

    What do you think about jump rope? I’m 6’2” @ 200 lbs and 47 years old. I’m in calorie deficit, walking and kettle bell, but wanting to get my cardio in better shape…

    • @IvanaChapman
      @IvanaChapman  3 месяца назад +1

      Jumping rope can be fun! I used to do it often for martial arts training. If you like it, do it. If you don’t like it, don’t do it. It’s important to build it up gradually, like anything. Doing too much, too fast can sometimes lead to injuries like shin splints (like any impact activity).

    Since I started intermittent fasting and step counting, I've lost about 40 pounds since 2022. I started out at 5,000 steps. I'm now at 12,000. I jogged in place while watching this video. 😃

    I have to argue with that point of view saying HIIT classes don't work, the place I go to I have seen Many people transform within a year, but they eat correctly and are consistent with the classes. You just can't have to many cheat days when doing these classes

    • @IvanaChapman
      @IvanaChapman  3 месяца назад +3

      I never said HIIT exercises don’t work. I didn’t mention classes. I just said certain HIIT exercises are not NECESSARY for fat loss. And pointing out that “they eat correctly” only reinforces the point that you generally have to address your nutrition, in addition to exercise, for sustainable fat loss.

    I’ve been looking for months now to find a good way to loose my belly fat as quick as possible. I am seeing a LOT of mixed results and I don’t know what to trust. I don’t have the money for a program or anything like that and everywhere I go it says calorie deficit. So that must be the key but I have not been seeing any results from it. I have also been doing hiit and I keep seeing mixed things on it. Some things say it’s the best possible thing and others say it’s pointless for weight loss. I want to look fit for an event in 2 months. What should I do?

    • @youdontneedtoknow2568
      @youdontneedtoknow2568 3 месяца назад

      I want to add that I also watched your video on how to do a calorie deficit and how I might be doing it wrong. But I don’t know how to do it.

    • @IvanaChapman
      @IvanaChapman  3 месяца назад +2

      If you're not seeing fat loss results from what you're doing, then you're not in a deficit. So you'll need to expend more energy or take in less energy. Lots of ways to do that! HIIT can certainly be part of your plan, but it would only be one part of the "calories out" portion of what you need to do. For most people, caloric reduction and a shift in macros (protein, fibre) is going to be the most efficient way to lose fat. Exercise, with at least 3 weight training workouts a week and 150 mins of cardio per week (the minimum recommended for health), would be a given.
