I picked your channel over several others to learn about the Black Flag playtest packet because I like your general style, attitude, and presentation. Thanks for keeping it fun and positive.
I'm probably in the minority here, but I actually like that WotC hasn't published many character option books. As a veteran DM of the 3.5 days, I remember getting a new option book just about every month, the power creep that went with it, and the constant churn of players ditching their current characters to try out the New Shiny options. Considering the longevity of 5e compared to 3, 3.5, and 4e, I think they made the right call.
Thanks for covering the Playtest Packet 1! I definitely agree with your thoughts on where Kobold Press is headed and the community in general. Very excited!
I think they're going to have rebalance a lot of stuff dealing with the spellcasting stuff. I know they said they wanted to make spellcasting cooler but, there's not going to be a reason for non-spellcasters to exidst balance wise. From the talents/Feats presented all of the martial/non-spellcasting related stuff was nerfed while all of the spellcasting stuff was massively buffed.
I appreciate your style and animated presentation. Try standing with a wider base to limit your swaying. I used to do the same when doing public speaking. You're killing it with the channel just wanted to give my two cents
I believe we need to take a step back. I believe someone should put out an SRD save version of the Players Hand Book with MINIMUM POSSIBLE CHANGES (meaning fix Monk and maybe Ranger) for legal safety. Particularly since there is so much in PHB that is NOT in the SRD. Then we fix from there. Fix Stealth, Fix economics and Magic Item price/rarity, Fix a whole lot of stuff. But let's get the FOUNDATION filled out with stuff you already know. ADOPTION WILL BE SO MUCH FASTER!!!
