We took this video to show you how to remove the glove box / storage compartment on a Audi A4 B6 generation. This should cover model years from 2002-2005.
This is a very weak spot for Audi. Most of the older ones sooner or later crack the hinges for the glove box. All you are going to need is an 8 mm socket and a flat head screwdriver.
The next video on our channel is about actually showing you how to fix the glove box without buying a new one.

I have done a glove box removal on a 2005/2006 A4, and there are actually 9 8MM hex screws that need to be removed -- 2 MORE THAN THE 7 SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO. The extra ones are located about an inch and a half deeper into the box than the two screws that appear at 0:52 and 0:54, respectively. This video pointed me in the right direction, and I'm grateful for that, but be forewarned.

My issue is the spring that holds tension in the glove box latch. Ie the spring that holds the latch engaged. It has broken, or so it seems. The latch lever still works it pulls the latch bars in after I manually pull them out so the lever is ok. I need a repair kit for the spring. Any ideas?
Are the sedan/avant boxes the same as the cabriolet?

Interestingly, on every audi a4 b6 the problems with the tray is not a big deal for shame for the audi factory
