They had 11 hours to stop this woman from bleeding to death in a hospital bed. That's unacceptable. That is at the very least medical negligence. Someone needs to be held accountable for this..

As a nurse, a mother, and decent human being I'm telling each and every one of you to be your own advocate. If something feels off, speak up, yell and scream if you have to. A lot of Healthcare workers become complicit and ignore the patient because they think they know best! I've seen it many times working as a nurse.

    • @BLESSFUL-Bliss
      @BLESSFUL-Bliss 2 года назад +88

I've been preaching this for _ages._
I've had to self-advocate at least thrice, each being >a decade ago.
With one, I went outside of my network to seek a second opinion from a leading sports orthopedist (who is also Boston Celtics' Head Team Physician), and I have since been so thankful and proud. I didn't even have an injury, or sports-related issue, but he quickly and easily discovered my condition and performed a successful surgery that has allowed me to walk perfectly. Whereas the initial Ortho MD wanted me to continue to suffer, stating that "many people live with this and do just fine." 🤯 I wasn't even 30-years old. 🙄😒😖🤦🏽‍♀️
He was _very_ old, and outdated. My young, strappy surgeon unreluctantly pointed this out, and even other MDs _within_ my network admitted this when I reported.
Another time was regarding hormones, but sadly they did not listen in time. I won't delve into details here.
Lastly, and most outrageous, appalling and horrific-- I nearly died in the ER, because the idiot intake nurse thought I simply wanted drugs (even though I had/have no history of drug nor alcohol [ab]use). I went in with *unbearable pain,* was made to sit unattended for hours (alongside a S4 cancer patient who was also complaining), was basically ridiculed by the radiologist and staff, until they discovered that *I, too, was internally bleeding. I had ectopic TWINS; one which was inside of my fallopian tube, which had ruptured. You should have seen their looks of horror after said discovery, the changed demeanor, and the apologies.* 🤬
Of course I had to _immediately_ undergo emergency surgery, and they _could not believe_ that I was still alive at that point (esp given the ages of the embryos), stating that I definitely would've died had I stayed home. I still haven't forgiven them.
I should've taken legal action with all of these cases.
I've always been taught and practiced self-advocacy from youth, _especially_ when it comes to health and wellness (as well as freedom), and these/my experiences have added to my ministry.
Be wary, be wise, be well, Women.
      (SN-- *I **_love_** your moniker, OP‼️* 💯)

In cases like this, it's negligent homicide. I believe that's what they charged Michael Jackson's doctor with.
I'm an RN and recently had to go to the ER. I had very high blood pressure and had quickly gained 45 lbs. I should have been admitted, but this ER doc sent me home WITHOUT treating the problem! Had to wait 10 more days to see my much more compassionate PCP. It's just scary, and I know what's supposed to happen!

They wouldn't keep me in the hospital and I went in 3 times for emergency treatment and nothing was done. I finally after the 5th month, and getting my strength back enough to ride to a holistic doctor who gave me a battery of supplements to combat that virus, I started to get well in only a few days. From there I kept improving. If it weren't for that holistic doctor, I would be dead due to lack of compassion and treatment.

Stories like this is really pushing me to become a healthcare lawyer. I plan on attending law school in the fall of 2024. I really believe that the health care system needs a whole overhaul. Too many people are in it for the money and they don't face accountability. There's laws that actually protect doctors who commit malpractice. We need to have more health care lawyers. Family law is the easiest one but I want something with more challenge. I recently went to the doctor because I have hyperthyroidism and when I tell you these doctors will have you sitting in the waiting room for hours getting your blood drawn and they don't do scans or tests to see what's going on internally. Most of the time when someone finds out their sick it's when they're knocking at death's door. It should not be that way I believe you should have regular mammograms scans everything every test that can be done in your body ran to make sure you're OK. These doctors do not do a good job especially when clients are on Medicaid or they get some basic health insurance through their job. The only people I think get a good medical experience in time is those that are really wealthy and can afford private doctors and all this other stuff. And they say this stuff is about people being too liberal it's not about that. I'm very much more conservative leaning but I'm I'm independent when it comes to voting. I believe the the health care system is trash and too many people spend 10 plus years in school only doing it for the money. They do it for the money and it's not OK when someone's life is in the balance. People stay coming for lawyers and saying that we do **** for money but not all of us

My mom had the same thing happen to her, but it was pre-surgery. Her cervix ruptured the night before her scheduled C-section and was slowly bleeding out. She asked multiple times for a ultrasound, but they kept dismissing her. That is, until her water broke. There was large amounts of blood streaming out of her. I remember this vividly, even though I was around 5-6 years old. They rushed her into surgery and had it ‘fixed’, only for her to sit up afterwards and her abdominal wall rupture. They didn’t staple it correctly. They refused to say they had done anything wrong, so my mom had to go to a plastic surgeon with general surgery credentials to get it fixed. We later learned that they had named a case after my mom without our permission and use it as training for their nurses. Needlessly to say, we never went back.

Heart breaking. I’m so sorry this happened to this family and many others.
I also almost lost my life after an emergency c section. I had a perfect pregnancy with my daughter, the fastest delivery ever (2 hours of labor) and all natural. With our second baby, our son, my pregnancy was smooth and I went into labor the same with our daughter, fast. All of the sudden 30 minutes after arriving to the hospital and 8 cm dilated I’m told my baby’s umbilical cord prolapsed and I have to be rushed to emergency c section. I was being poked in my spine multiple times for an epidural that kept failing. They tried to give me a spinal tap multiple times as well, but it failed. I had to lay on my side while they poked my spine over & over for at least 30 minutes. I had to be still all while having full blown contractions.
After so many failed attempts with the epidural & spinal tap I was put to sleep, and had nothing at all for pain. I woke up right at the end of being closed up and could feel everything. All I could do was scream at the top of my lungs. Until I was put back to sleep. When I woke up again I was closed up, but it felt like my lower half had been completely separated from my body because of the pain.
Everything is such a blur. Even thinking back on it feels like a dream. A nightmare.
I finally got to hold and nurse my perfect baby boy 3 hours later. Thankfully he was healthy. Then 3 hours later at 8:00 pm I noticed a very cold feeling on my lower abdomen. Like someone set a bag of ice on me. So I looked under the covers and there was blood everywhere. I immediately told my husband to get a nurse.
I was bleeding out and had been for about 2 hours. My dissolvable stables had dissolved due to my bleeding, but no one caught it. I was in & out of consciousness.
I was rushed away from my baby boy & husband to be closed back up. I couldn’t speak I couldn’t move. I could still hear everything around me though. I felt dead. Then I started having weird visions of outer space. So crazy.
I was given a blood transfusion right away. The next 24 hours were hell because of the pain and the pain medication that made me feel like a zombie. I would fall asleep mid sentence. It didn’t even help with the pain much. Every bathroom trip I would cry in pain and crying even hurt because of using my abdomen to cry. It was a mess!!
My incision formed blood clots underneath it too which was incredibly painful when I moved.
My doctor did a horrible job and almost sent me home with an infection. Thank God 42 hours later my doctor went out of town and the on call doctor I had told me he does not feel good about sending me home that day. So I stayed another 2 days and was put on an iv of antibiotics. He caught the start of an infection. Around my incision was bubbling with blisters & oozing. Before My doctor went out of town I showed him the bubbles coming out from the bandage on my incision and he said it was because I had sensitive skin. Idiot!
He also told me I almost bled out because my staples just burst open. He laughed when he said it too. I asked him why and he said he didn’t know why but that sometimes things just happen. He did several things wrong during my hospital stay and even after! When I went to get my second set of staples removed he left one in…
my incision scar is so ugly, but I honestly don’t care I’m just thankful to be here to raise my children.
I’m so thankful my baby boy is thriving and we both made it through that horrible experience!
The hospital also has a new rule that they cannot attempt to administer an epidural or spinal tap after 3 attempts.

I feel for this man, women should not be dying from childbirth in the rates that they do. My first child and I both nearly died due to negligence at the hospital. I was 2 months early, had pre-eclampsia, with my water broke and and ultrasound showing the placenta was not working properly. They put me on a drug to stop labor and did not even check me for 10 hours even though my contractions were 2 min apart and even then the doctor was going to walk out until the nurse said it had been 10hrs. So he checked me and I was 10cm and ready to deliver but the delivery did not go well, the baby was stuck. The doctor used inducing drugs to give me stronger contractions but that caused the placenta to rupture and my blood pressure was at stroke level when he decided on a c-sec.
The negligence did not stop there, I had the c-sec and was put into my room and that is where I laid FOR 3 DAYS. No one came to get me up or tell me I could get up and this was my first child and a c-sec so I did not know, I was waiting for them to tell me it was time to get up. On the 3rd day I asked a nurse when I could see my baby and then in talking with that nurse she realized I had laid there for 3 days and not even seen my baby since he was born. I coule hear her screaming at nurses in the hallway about me being left there for 3 days, so I knew then something was wrong. It took two people to get me up and they gave me morphine before doing so but it felt like my stomach was ripping open, I could not even walk I hurt so bad.

If what you saw leading up to, during and after the birth of your son and it's neglect based on what you observed, please sue the hospital and the physicians responsible for her care. It's the only way changes occur, unfortunately, in the medical field. pushed" on women because they generate more money. What's fascinating is a woman who has had a vaginal birth with baby 1 then when baby 2 is to be born, dr insists on a c section convincing the unwitting mother that is the best method. Smh. Dr's have become as deceitful as ever.

    • @pattiannepascual

doctors can no longer be bothered getting a phone call to deliver a baby in the middle of their golf game. That's the main reason they make excuses why so women need c sections. or so many women given drugs to speed up labor. When God is taken out of the equation and nature not allowed, the demonic starts happening.I was in bad back labor for 39 1/2 hours with my first, 36 hours with my second, which I had at home to avoid the trauma of the hospital ever again. The first baby, they kept saying I had to get a c section. I told them to put a monitor on the baby and s long s the baby was not in distress, there would be no c section. All they did was kept pushing it on me and yelling at me during the worst pain in my life. My daughter was born big, over 8lbs, healthy as could be. Having a baby, wanting a natural birth, should not have been traumatic. Then they tried a hard a they could to tell me over and over how formula would be so much better than the beast milk provided by God for a human baby. I asked them if my child was a human? she looked at me like I was crazy. I then said, why would I give a human baby formula based on milk God intended for a cow.i was never do happy to get out of that hospital. Women need to really research and don't be bullied or lied to by our failure of an inept, lazy medical system.

I had blood transfusions during surgery. After surgery they were going to do a hysterectomy if they couldn’t stop my bleeding which I was told it will be to much trauma for my body to have another surgery take place. They called a clergy to be present and I just started praying to God. The bleeding stopped after I prayed and the doctors didn’t know how. I stayed in hospital longer for evaluation due internal bleeding possibly. I’m praying for his family and all others that been through this. ( side note: I called my doctor before arriving to hospital and left voicemail several times and when I got to the hospital I informed them to page my doctor and they said they did. I kept asking for my doctor. She never came. I was told she’s on her way. The people on duty worked on me not my doctor. The next day after everything I saw my doctor and she stated no one paged or told her I was there. She received my voicemail hours later. My doctor specializes with placenta accreta which I had and those doctors didn’t.) I started labor one day before scheduled c- section.
