- Hello everyone! So I get a common question from viewers quite often and this is, should I create my own ASMR channel? It can be quite intimidating to put your creativity out for the world to see but it can also be very beneficial in many ways not only to yourself but to those who view your content. I am hoping through this series to offer my experiences and advice for anyone who is contemplating creating ASMR. Please don't take this as the only way, of course everyone's path is different, but maybe I can answer some simple questions or help motivate you! In this video we will discuss the types of equipment that I use to create ASMR content. I will show you some of the first equipment through to what I currently use. I hope this information will help you with starting out!

So my son (4) has been watching ASMR specifically this channel with me for a few years now, and when my daughter, (2) gets upset, he tries to ASMR her out of it. Currently he's tapping a comb going "shhh, shhh" to her. 😂🤣

Maria your one of, if not the ONLY asmrist to give pointers on what to use and how to use it, to succeed in any video making for RUclips or anything period that has to do with using this type of equipment! Hey diddly! I recommend getting the rodes that gibi uses. They're great. I use them in my studio and they are awesome.

I totally get what she means by enjoying simplicity, imperfection and inmaturity. I used to do Sims 2 movies with self-written stories, and the most fun I had (and the most entertaining) was the time I was already good at it and have figured out quite a few things, yet not everything. That was the best time.
I think it would be so incredible for you to put all of these early microphones in a shadow box! Then you hang it and always remember the beginnings! Love this and you!
There are also some electronics donation centers as well. If they still work then someone else could use them for their own projects!
I really love Lofi videos with just the iPhone and the headphones that come with it. Just some advice for anyone wanting to start out & you have a small / no budget x

I could listen to your voice for hours on any topic. It’s so soothing and relaxing. I always wondered how ASMR was made from beginning equipment to what I hear now. All I’ve heard is on the expensive stuff and it’s cool to see where you, and they, began.
Your talk on simplicity is so true. Besides you, one of my other favorite ASMRtists is SouthernASMR Sounds. She uses the simplest camera and mic and doesn’t ever really edit, but her videos are amazing.

I know for me personally the behind the ear triggers work for me the best. I believe they were the first thing that gave me actual tingles, so its so great whenever you do manage to fit it into the videos. Much love ❤
The behind ear sounds are my absolute favorite! I find it so informative to learn about the mics you’ve used over the years, even though I have no interest in making videos myself.

The one thing I would love to hear explained is finding the right settings for the Blue Yeti, and what works best for what kind of ASMR, and depending on the sounds you want to make. Very poor sound quality, especially for the price. Even the $2000 "pro" version sounds worse than any of the mics that Maria showed in this video. "ASMR Surge" and "Frank the Binaural Microphone" are examples of channels that use much better "dummy ears" binaural mics.
