+Kaity Bayne Most will either run it through a chopper like this, or tap them with a knife as the rod of candy passes over the edge of the table to break the candy rod into bite sized pieces. They then 'drop' into a collection bin.
I grew up in a family with my farther being a backer, but the type that doesn t bke bread but cake, candy, various vanity cake s, petit four s, etc etc. So seeing this made my heart all warm inside!
teslashark Then what were claiming was different in terms of being handmade between how they were made in this video and how Lofty Pursuits makes them? Everything was done by hand up to the cutting part.
These aren't even humbugs. A humbug is referring to the shape, which is a transistor from a vertical line, to an horizontal line forming something similar to a 4 sided pyramid. A good example of humbugs are the ones lofty pursuits makes.
There's fabrics which are lint/dust free used in manufacturing environments like this. I've had a 1 lbs bag of their candy and can assure you there is no fabric in it.
Zoey Simmons The heating the machine is actually much older technology than the heated table used by the candy lab. It's the traditional way to make it. The cutting machine is similar to Victorian cutting machines, he's just chosen to hook it up to a motor instead of using a handcrank.
Sone time I tried to make hard candy and I put it on the granite countertops and it hardened in a big blob! My parents were not too mad but we had to use a hairdryer to melt it off!😝😝😝😂😂😂😬😬😬🙃
all the humbugs i eat in the uk have a chewy centre how would u make that ???? these just seem like the peppermint sweet with no chewy minty centre ...😊 would love to know
+Sharifah Hunter you would fist make to halve s of the hard candy covers, and you couldn t use a machine to cut them, but with a nife make sure they dont put tha halves perfectly on oneother, but leave some toom to put the filling through, still not rock sollid and cold, the helper or other candy making person ( you must work very very fast if you want to do it alone ;-) ) can then close the hole where the sioft filling was put through, and let the cool off. Most factory s, from cheap brands of candy put the filling in with another machine, an it s then all computerized. ( rather pay more for handmade candy though. So as I wrote this down, try it out if your really want to, let me know if this techniqe worked?
6:47 I found this machine fascinating because the other candy videos had the candy cut manually by hand. Both ways are satisfying!
Does anyone else find this oddly satisfying? 😂
omg yes💘💘💘
Yes😂 all of the videos! Especially when the cut the candy
+Christina Sings *they
yes
yeah
I THOUGHT THE THUMBNAIL WAS A SNAKE
SO DID I
IT WAS. SEE 8:06
Me too
it actually WAS a snake LOL
8:18
It's really cool o see how candy is made like this. I have a new respect for candy makers
01:45 Damn so relaxing and satisfying....
I've had these humbugs from Stilwells and they are DELICIOUS, particularly after they've gone a little soft and sugary! MMmmmmm!
this is so satisfying❤ especially when he's like folding the candy 😍
+AJ Gonzalez Fuck this is awesome Cool how he is folding it
+Flo Sky yeah yeah!!! fuck yeah 😂
Big respect for these people. 👍
Aren't humbugs supposed to be shaped with one end going left and right and the other end up and down?
yep, these are drop candy. if their machine wasn't automated they would drop the sticks to seperated the candy
+Kaity Bayne Most will either run it through a chopper like this, or tap them with a knife as the rod of candy passes over the edge of the table to break the candy rod into bite sized pieces. They then 'drop' into a collection bin.
Yes
Roses are red
violets are blue
I came for the thumbnail
and I know you did too
The snake is at the end.
Is not the same snake , some nice clickbait I guess
Daerien :D technical it's not click bait it did have something to do with the video
They're called humbugs because their pattern looks like bees, and a 'hum bug's was an English colloquial term for a bee.
2:07 It's alive!!!! The BLOB! Serious - great video. Just Zen out and watch this.
These types of videos are a lot more relaxing without the music. Great video though !

+Howling Owl 8:18!

SSSSSNEK
myco leonor it's a meme bro get your head outta your ass lol
I grew up in a family with my farther being a backer, but the type that doesn t bke bread but cake, candy, various vanity cake s, petit four s, etc etc. So seeing this made my heart all warm inside!
misread it as "hamburgers" and was curious until I realized what it was at 1:52XD
same!!! hahahaha but I did not notice that it wasn't what I thought till the end
2:56 it's like he's massaging it and the music makes it seem that way as well
If anybody wants to see actual humbugs, Lofty Pursuits have a video on it
Yeah, and they actually hand make them.
+Frankie Brasko These guys handmade them too. Just because they didn't cut them by hand doesn't mean the candy wasn't handmade
@@nowandaround312 Lofty Pursuits' version is machine cut too, just an ancient machine
teslashark Then what were claiming was different in terms of being handmade between how they were made in this video and how Lofty Pursuits makes them? Everything was done by hand up to the cutting part.
the snake for Halloween is super cute
those arent humbugs
+k den the candy looks really good, but you are right. humbug is the shape, not the color or flavor
+Danny M yes and the shape of these are drop candy, not humbug. A humbug is pinched in two different directions.
They have been making these wonderful humm bugs over 100 years. They taste amazing, who cares what shape they are!
Hi this channel is so cool!I just found it and I love it oh my lord good job you guys❣
Parris Turner ikr
I could probably feed that cutting machine all day
These aren't even humbugs. A humbug is referring to the shape, which is a transistor from a vertical line, to an horizontal line forming something similar to a 4 sided pyramid. A good example of humbugs are the ones lofty pursuits makes.
But those machines are very interesting
Does anyone else feel so satisfied when they watch this??
2:55 I was waiting for them to poke the candy like slime 😍😊
Jaida if they poked it like slime they would get burned
Candy looks delicious! Is that cloth in the process at 6:00? Wouldn't it leave little pieces of cloth in the candy?
There's fabrics which are lint/dust free used in manufacturing environments like this. I've had a 1 lbs bag of their candy and can assure you there is no fabric in it.
It's like he was making slime when he was kneading it
1:54 all I was thinking was: Wow! So that's where horror movies get those hooks from!!?😂😂

ITS SO SATISFYING TO SEE THE CANDY BE CUT INTO BITE SIZED PIECES
SOLID LIQUID BUT NOT!
WOW & YUM
💚
this place has more technology than candy labs
Zoey Simmons The heating the machine is actually much older technology than the heated table used by the candy lab. It's the traditional way to make it. The cutting machine is similar to Victorian cutting machines, he's just chosen to hook it up to a motor instead of using a handcrank.
So satisfying 😆

Sone time I tried to make hard candy and I put it on the granite countertops and it hardened in a big blob! My parents were not too mad but we had to use a hairdryer to melt it off!😝😝😝😂😂😂😬😬😬🙃

Slime poking at 2:56 😁 😂 I’m so random
how its made of, raw material list?
where are you doing that at?
how clean are those gloves?
What's the table made out of?
+THEGlassIED Usually the tables are made of granite, because it sucks the heat out of the candy mass so it's more solid.
Can someone explain what this candy humbug taste like?
Hard at first but then it goes chewy in the middle. The brown but is the chewy bit. it's DELISH 😍😍
Dooop Dooop mmmm
+Dooop Dooop that's explaining texture not taste though. is it like chocolate?

Never heard of a humbug
G check out lofty pursuits . They hand make team and explain the history of the humbug.
This isn't a humbug, it's just a drop candy. A humbug is pinched in two different directions.
this is their version
yum candy!!!!!!!!
costs could be greatly cut,the cutting machine not necessary and the rolling candy machine too
+Conter Marune labours work are more effective and could use shifts too
+Conter Marune the cutting machine though??? no training for it and its an easy job and anyone can basically do it and thanks for replying :D
