you should indeed get a band
🤣 Why? Explain the logic. First of all, bands don't exist anymore here in Vancouver. There are no live clubs, there is no live music. That scene is dead for ten years already .2) Even if there was an opportunity for a band, I'd never do it for a measly $100 a night (That's a good day). 3) I have no interest in doing cover songs. nothing creative about that. 4) Did bands for ten years already. 5) No freedom for improv. This cliche that 'everyone needs to be in band' like that is some kind of 'ultimate achievement' is ridiculous.

You speak only the truth brother, you know the deal.
You’re playing is an inspiration to me man, the real music you create is exactly what todays music industry is painfully lacking. In truth there are a lot of incredible musicians and their work being swept under the rug because people would rather listen to the absolute sound pollution being generated by the Machine these days. I understand the pain and struggle of The Musician trying to “make it big” and provide themselves a living by making music in todays world, a bit selfishly though, I do very much enjoy witnessing someone making music like you: without the big stage lights , headlines, private jets and paparazzi, it’s just so much better somehow.
Thanks for keeping it alive!
@@SheepMan420 well said! My only regret is I didn’t stop the bands and duos years earlier to go solo instrumental and really express myself the way I knew I could. I was proven right as I never sold a single band recording but have sold a lot of solo recordings.
@@shatnershairpiece
Yes indeed, being stuck in a band can definitely slow you down, glad you’ve found your path now though
A band?
Other instruments?
Voices?
Why in the hell would you ever want to dilute his music?
Every strum is magic if you REALLY listen.
I’ll take mine Full Strength.
Thank you. 💕☮️💕
When you're as legendary at the Shat-man, YOU DONT NEED A BAND, man.....
You don’t need a band.
You are magnificent by yourself!!!
Thank you for the hours of pure enjoyment ❣️
Exactly! Thanks for not telling me to get a band.
Love your tone Bro.
Enjoy The Journey - Cheers

Sometimes free advice costs the most😮
I was hoping he had a band. 🤣
When Zappa was asked if using the Synclavier instead of a band kills some of the musical soul or whatever.
"No it actually improves it by subtracting the human element which is the most unreliable part of doing music. If you've ever employed a musician you know what I mean."
ha! exactly right. took me about 5 years before I actually found decent musicians to play with. had to go through a lot of ‘unreliable’.
It was a compliment.
No. It was a 'Stop making noise on the street'. compliments are easy to figure out, usually it’s “sounds great!” The quick walk away while throwing off the insult is another clue.
Exactly, well at least we get to see the faces of these street morons through your vids
😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hey bro
Hey
Get a band? For what?
Exactly. There is no point in being in a band anymore. Not only are there no gigs, because live music is dead, it’s shit money, a ton of grunge work, and extremely limiting creatively. . That’s what you say when you don’t want to hear someone play guitar in the street. They think I should be making noise in a club where they don’t have to listen to it.
@@shatnershairpiece I haven't played in a band since nearly 20 years now. Got sick of all the drama. In my age (61) I'm too old for that shit.
truth. I did about 10 years of it and that was about 7 too many.
@@shatnershairpiece good luck. Keep up the good work.
Pretty cringe to make a comment like that and walk away.
Someone actually said he was complimenting me! That's how these cretins do it. They smirk out the side of their mouths while walking past quickly.
...yes, and while you're at it, get a time machine!
Back to 1975 please.

@@mbgrafix 1974-1975 was the highlight of my young life so I would go back there if I could.

Indeed...1975 was also the year that Ambrosia released their first hit, Holding On To Yesterday!
