in regards of woojin’s departure affecting skz, i think you are right about the vocals being plenty. his departure meant that seungmin and i.n got to shine more as lead vocalists in their new songs and in the re-recording of their old songs where they took out his ( woojin’s ) voice, han took most of his line due to being able to hit high notes the most comfortably. han stepping up to this allowed vocal racha to depend on him in that regard and develop their own tone more. seungmin has vastly improved over the years in his range and establishing his own voice and style which is often pointed out by the other members in how diligently he practiced. during kingdom last year seungmins vocals really got a spotlight and changbin said that many people asked about his vocal training!

I know what you mean about Stray Kids' vocal strength. Because I became a fan when they were an 8 and noone really had specific roles anymore it sort of surprised me to learn the one who left had been the main vocal- or even that they ever really had a specific main vocal. I've been dipping into a lot of their older stuff recently and honestly I didn't notice a big difference with or without. I don't know how much of that is because they were still only about a year in when Woojin left and so I don't think they had quite figured out how to really showcase each other like they can now. Some of their more recent songs can really lean into or showcase particular members more now I think and so their voices seem that much more distinctive maybe. I do know that both Lee Know and I.N were more insecure in their vocals at the beginning- Lee Know's training period was so short I think he did a lot of learning on the job, so to speak. But whereas I am sad for them as people they went through the pain of losing a member, I do enjoy that I.N and especially Lee Know have more vocal features that they might not have had because SKZ talent is so high they could have been crowded out with another vocal specialist in the mix. Although, this is Stray Kids, if they had stayed a 9 they probably would have made it work and we'd be saying how we couldn't imagine Woojin not being there or something. However it played out, they made it work for them.
Charmer is such a cool song. At first it didn't catch my eye that much but now it¨s probably my fav in the album. That live was crazy btw. You say the guys are flexing their abs, but that was first time I.N did that publicly. Everyone was totally shocked :D Also the dance is crazy fast and complex once you check some fancams. That changbin's part blew everyone up, trust me. Me and my friend kept replaying it, too. Like "holy hell was that?!" Also Chronosaurus is a pretty weird and unique song. The MV plays a big part in their SKZverse storyline. Also, no matter the reason, I'm actually really thankful Woojin left. One part is because I didn't like his tone of voice that much. Another is me being Seungmin bias. Woojin was oldest member and Seungmin's technique wasn't as developed back then. But on the team Seungmin is the most organised one who practices every single day. Even if Seungmin became better singer, I don't think he would be able to take away "main vocal" just by default of being few years younger than their actual already established main vocal. When Woojin left, Seungmin got many of his parts and was given opportunity to grow enormously. You can see how in older videos Seungmin's presense is not that big but now he is a necessary part of team. Same thing for I.N. In older songs there are actually many where I.N has just ONE SINGLE line to sing. Yea. Thanks to Woojin leaving, Seungmin, I.N, Lee Know and Han (high notes) got more space to sing.
It's all good if you keep on replaying a certain part especially when it's Changbin, we completely understand you! :) I also really love it when you always say hi to Felix whenever he comes up, it's a normal thing ever since in your channel ^^
Changbin's chitty chitty part is his unique take on beat boxing and it is so amazing. I love how he approaches pronunciation. Like how he says sneaker like it's a squeaky sneaker on a floor. I also love Chronosarus. It's one of my very favorite songs. They have re-recorded most of their songs as 8 (on their albums SKZ2020 and SKZ2021), so you can hear Chronosarus without Woojin. It sounds amazing. Many of the songs are just as good as the first version and some of them are even better than the original because Woojins voice just didn't fit the song.
if you’d like to see chairs as part of choreo i recommend 3rd eye live! i absolutely love the song and the performance is even better- the emotion they put into that song when they sing gets me every time, especially lee know
i also get what you mean about it seeming ‘boring’ - i think it’s to do with the production being a lot less saturated then some other skz songs like their more noisy title tracks

Charmer was a grower for me. I liked it from the beginning, but it took me some listens to fall in love and now it is in the top of the songs from Oddinary. to be honest it is often the case with SKZ for me. I usually need several listens to start loving the song, but (what is unusual) it is impossible for me to overlisten SKZ song, even if I play them on repeat for a long time. I think too that Woojin's departure allowed others to shine more. and it challenged them more to become better. I.N and Lee Know both have beautiful voices, but they had smaller parts in songs, because their live vocals were unstable. My personal impression is that Lee Know was afraid to sing live for a long time hiding behind the backtrack, however he improved so much - you have seen him singing in "charmer" live at the Seoul concert last month. by the way the next song at the concert (the one with chairs) was "b me", a slower song, has a similar vibe as "ex", but only has an unveil track instead of MV (like Domino). you could maybe add it to your play list, it is very beautiful :)

It is interesting to know your opinion on how k-pop has changed in 10 -15 years, what is new in music, maybe something attractive is gone during this time.
