I understand your sentiment about the difference between Jihyo's and Nayeon's solos. But just to explain, as Jihyo said as well, that she wanted to craft an album that resonates with her more than focusing on its marketability to usual kpop listeners. She specifically said that she "doesn't want the songs to sound like a kpop song." I think that's why some are confused. That's why Jihyo was very shocked that she won a music show trophy, because she made the album not thinking how it would sell but only focusing on her artistry. Her whole album emits Jihyo's writing and compositions. She released videos during promotion on how she went about her album making, including concept meetings and collaborations with producers and other artists. It's not that there was an imbalance of money or attention involved, its more of a difference in directions they wanna take. Whereas Nayeon, as seen with Pop and ABCD, the direction is to contend with other top soloists in kpop right now. To make as much as an impact as she can. Because, as we all know, Nayeon is known to be the center of center in Kpop. It's just expected of her.
This title track is totally Nayeon'ce (Crazy in Love) from the block vibes 🥰 Also, on the MV itself, if we were not distracted by Nayeon (which was nearly impossible 😂) notice the highlighted TEXTS: A - A Girl named Nayeon (start) B - Big Little Universe (Red dress) C - Crossing the Cosmos (dance break) D- Deeper into Na (end) 😍
As some one who is a father, grandfather, and great grandfather I understand what your going thru give it time they will grow to an age where you will again get energized. I agree with you that this song is better than Pop but that's because it's more to my musical taste. In my opinion Pop was Nayeon flexing and reminding everyone who the queen of Kpop was, but the album was more a precursor of what was to come, this album. I think she's telling us she is now a full grown woman and is paying homage the core of Kpop which is the 90's and 2000's western music, Crazy in love is what you were thinking of and it's obvious, although I see Nayeon as more a Britney Spears (the black and white dress with the nerdy glasses so Britney). As to the budget, to me it's more the difference in who Nayeon and Jihyo are, one is more flash the other is more substance, I can't believe that if Jihyo wanted to spend more money on her video they would have. Loosen up enjoy what your bias has done she hit it out of the park, the album too. OT9 forever (TIMELESS).
Solid track. Twice's US encore was March 16, 2024 and ABCD was released June 14, 2024. The M/V was shot at Universal in LA, so speculation would be that she stayed in LA after the tour to shoot the M/V, then back to Korea to finish up production on the album and do the performances. It's been mentioned that she worked on the album during the tour, so she may have been burning the candle at both ends for a bit.
Hii random but do you know k.will's please don't mv he released a continuation to it with his new song no sad songs for my broken heart could you react to it?
NAYEON is phenomenal. Her vocals are phenomenal.
