Was at the club on Friday night and didn't expect to end up again on Sunday night too. I'll never forget being at this incredible show. Thank you to all the organizers, all the volunteers, all the athletes, that made this all happen. It was better than I ever expected it to be and warmed even my cynical and doubtful heart. And thanks to Thomas Jolly for making these ceremonies feel like a real showcasing of Paris and not a list of century-old stereotypes. How bittersweet it felt to walk home. Now it's Monday morning and it's all back to normal.

Loved Jean-Michel Jarre at 2:14:38. As the pundits said he's one of the fathers of French electronic music. Also, it may seems difficult to believe but the guy is now 78. Edit: 76
He's also the son of Maurice Jarre, great composer for hollywood who won 3 Oscars! Jean-Michel Jarre was and still is a trailblazer in electronic music.
Jarre is a precursor of synthetic music. He built his own instruments and electronic circuit to find new sound at the time when electronic music was analogic. The rise of numerical synthetizer was a change in a sense that it democratized this kind of music. This is not a bad thing but, i wonder how many popular DJ can do what Jarre has done in his time.
I can't think of any French song better than "Je suis venu the dire que je m'en vais" to close Paris 2024. Before the games started in July, the French were divided about these games, some really wanted them to happen in Paris, others hated the idea and most were indifferent. I'm not even talking about the political climate that was (and in fact still is) really distressing. But on July 26th during the opening ceremony something happened and the French fell in love with the games. We enjoyed Paris 2024 so much, that we didn't want it to end and go back to normal. That's why some of us want to see the flame still soar over Paris or the Olympic Rings stay on the Eiffel Tower or even build a memorial where we could remember that great summer of 2024. The thing is, the games have to end no matter what and what is left in memories to cherish for years to come. The song written by Serge Gainsbourg and interpreted by Amadou et Mariam during the ceremony is just about that : The end of a complicated love story. One of the lover is leaving and the other in tears don't want the relationship to end, yet her tears won't change anything and the only thing left will be memories of the happy days they spend together.

It was an amazing experience watching the Olympic and Paralympic. Just like me,there must be many people that watched Olympic for the first time during covid, tokyo Olympics. Now that this amazing Olympic season comes to an end, we will meet each again after 4 years. Bye bye see you all soon again
I have really enjoyed these Paris Paralympic games! In future Olympic games, the Paralympics will be the only ones I will watch. For me, the athletes reaching out to each other, enjoying the successes of their fellow olympeans, and commiserating with each other, no matter what country they came from, exemplified the true spirit of the games. The French people in the crowds, their zest and support was fabulous! To all involved in the planning , execution and maintenance of the games, thank you.
I love rain. It creates a nice atmosphere, makes you romantic, and makes you feel nostalgic for the whole world. Especially in Japan, it feels cool in the scorching hot summer, and I love rain in winter and the nice smell of rainy towns and mountains throughout the year. I think rain is a blessing in places like France and Africa, where there isn't much rain.
Well … the north of France and especially Paris is a rainy city but not during summer. We « never » have storms of rain during summer. But during the opening Olympics ceremony, it was 3 weeks of rain in 3 hours 😅. Parisians are used to the rain, and I agree with you, it created a special atmosphere… and it stopped only for Celine Dion 🤍. We ended up with rain at the closing ceremony of the Paralympic. Everything is perfect 🤍

The best Paralympics ever!! Enjoyed every single second of it from the iconic venues, hospitality, athletic performances, ceremonies, and the amazing after-party at the end. I have never seen this much energy for the Paralympics, This is how it should be.
The “after-party” was a who’s-who of french house. Dare I say it was a better closing ceremony that the Olympics had. And absolutely deserved.

Jean-Michel Jarre was and still is a trailblazer in electronic music.
Jarre is a precursor of synthetic music. He built his own instruments and electronic circuit to find new sound at the time when electronic music was analogic. The rise of numerical synthetizer was a change in a sense that it democratized this kind of music. This is not a bad thing but, i wonder how many popular DJ can do what Jarre has done in his time.

I can't think of any French song better than "Je suis venu the dire que je m'en vais" to close Paris 2024. Before the games started in July, the French were divided about these games, some really wanted them to happen in Paris, others hated the idea and most were indifferent. I'm not even talking about the political climate that was (and in fact still is) really distressing. But on July 26th during the opening ceremony something happened and the French fell in love with the games. We enjoyed Paris 2024 so much, that we didn't want it to end and go back to normal. That's why some of us want to see the flame still soar over Paris or the Olympic Rings stay on the Eiffel Tower or even build a memorial where we could remember that great summer of 2024. The thing is, the games have to end no matter what and what is left in memories to cherish for years to come. The song written by Serge Gainsbourg and interpreted by Amadou et Mariam during the ceremony is just about that : The end of a complicated love story. One of the lover is leaving and the other in tears don't want the relationship to end, yet her tears won't change anything and the only thing left will be memories of the happy days they spend together.

這次的帕運我是第一次認真看的，看到了殘障的人積極樂觀的精神，讓我非常的感動，跟那些手腳好好只是為了拿獎牌慾望的人不一樣，真的非常感動我的心，巴黎帕運真的作到非常好。尤其是主席先生，說話充滿激情，真的很激勵人心，難忘他閃亮的眼神。
這電子音樂會作的太讓我驚嘆了，看了一次又一次，原本不聽電子音樂的我，感謝你們作出這麼棒的音樂，後面電子大師彈奏的疑似電子豎琴(?)還是光(?)的不明樂器(?)我對電子音樂真的欠缺認識，整個表現太神奇驚嘆了!
帕運閉幕式真的是一個極高的享受，之後要接辦的城市很難超越。看過這麼都次到奧運，巴黎辦的是我最喜歡的，連同帕運一起愛死了。
l'instrument de Jean Michel Jarre est en effet une harpe électro et n'a rien de virtuel; il l'utilisait comme une guitare classique en interagissant avec elle ;)

I have really enjoyed these Paris Paralympic games! In future Olympic games, the Paralympics will be the only ones I will watch. I love rain. It creates a nice atmosphere, makes you romantic, and makes you feel nostalgic for the whole world. Especially in Japan, it feels cool in the scorching hot summer, and I love rain in winter and the nice smell of rainy towns and mountains throughout the year. I think rain is a blessing in places like France and Africa, where there isn't much rain.

Well … the north of France and especially Paris is a rainy city but not during summer.
We « never » have storms of rain during summer. But during the opening Olympics ceremony, it was 3 weeks of rain in 3 hours 😅.
Parisians are used to the rain, and I agree with you, it created a special atmosphere… and it stopped only for Celine Dion 🤍. We ended up with rain at the closing ceremony of the Paralympic. Everything is perfect 🤍
