Terrific. As a previous-version S6 owner with the amazing V8 turbo and "everything" loaded, my take even prior to this very helpful set of pointers had been that the V6 is not worth moving "up" to. Maybe I misunderstood but did you in effect say the sound of the V8 comes out of the sound system?!
@@hotcars Thanks! I found after I bought it that my previous model S6 has the Bose-type sound neutralizing so... nothing! Odd to hear none of that power. BTW you surely know that the same 450hp V6 is also available in an S5 model.
3:42 what is your source for the S6 having quattro with Ultra? Their website says the following: A6 45 (2.0 I4): "quattro with Ultra" A6 55 (3.0 V6): "quattro" The S6 (2.9 TT V6): "quattro". I don't believe any of the 2.9 or 3.0 vehicles have Ultra, only 2.0 and below.
So I bought a S6 in part because of the performance reviews and let me warn everyone. Stay away from this car. 135 miles in the driving system malfunction warning comes in and the turbos stop working. Took into service at Audi and they said that happens sometimes when you press the accelerator hard. Just stop the car and restart. Omg, if they had said that during the sales pitch I would have run away from it.
Come down that's just yours, I've driven one for 5 months no issues whatsoever. Just because you had an issue doesn't mean it common. The RS4 and RS5 has the same engine

Definitely not V8 synthesized noises, mostly increases the volume of what would be induction noise

Yeah man. Good review. It's just a nice A6. Nothing really special there. RS6 is the way to go... but it's way more expensive of course

would you say the normal A6 have a more comfort ride. Does the S6 come with air suspension? (like optioned A6)
Yes 2 levels of ride which appear to be about one inch of difference.
