A tip I was given when dealing with transmissions on cars is to open the filler bolt first, then you won't panic after emptying the old oil when you realise that you cant refill it!! cheers from the uk
Those two threaded holes above and below the bearing on the cover... run some 3-4" long M10 (I think they're M10) bolts through those... the cover will pop right off. It pushes on the bell housing. You're welcome :D
Good comment...It's M8 1.25/50 bolts. And you're right that they pop it right off. In case people don't know, you screw them in to the point where they stop then you turn them 1/2 turn each, to keep the pressure even, until they pop the cover off. Works like a charm.
Watching from the UK here Guys, not just watching but very much enjoying, LOVE this video..Its such a shame that the main drive covers need to all come off to access just one filler point, shame it cant be external to cut down on Labour time...Well done Guys for the Video....
Hello, i m looking all your video from Reunion Island. Thank you very much. I m looking for the video: Change: 1) Bobine (ignition coils) 2) change regulator 3) change stator Of you have it😮😮😮😊😊😊
Question for you. I have a 2005 Burgman 400 and need to replace emergency brake cable. Tried lubing it but it is frozen. Wonder if I needed to pull tupperware off under the glove box or take the front tupperware off to get to it?
Man, the engineers really could have thought of an easier way to do this... Like, an accessible Bolt for the fill port... Jesus. There isn't a single scooter built today that makes sense.
Hey fellows I have a question for you. I have a burgman 400 2012 and having a issue with the my bolt placement. My problem was I didnt mark them when I removed them and needed some help
Why don't you simply cut a hole in the cover housing (that lines up with the fill bolt)? You'll need an oil can to fill it. And yes, you can put the piece you cut out back in place - like with duck tape
Damn all those screws and fasteners, think of all the time it would save if the manufacture didn't even use them as well as you guys not complaining about it!
I am a bit disappointed with this video. I bet the best part was removing the humungous cover. I did that once and was looking for a better way to take it off. I guess, short of using a sledge hammer and 2x4, and lots of newly invented curse words, everyone eventually succeeds. Took me 2 hours. You must have done a lot of editing ! Thanks anyway. Your objective was achieved.

@@jkro30a they should have just made a fill bolt accessible from the outside... instead of putting the fill port on the inside of the cover casing.

Of you have it😮😮😮😊😊😊
Is the slapping in the cvt cover sound normal. Just bought an 09.
They actually do make a unique sound when you accelerate kind of a chugging sound that’s the CVT
Once again you make it look too easy. Good vid.
Blood Eagle thank you sir, it felt like getting I was getting my teeth pulled 😂
Hahahaha. Well at least you have him there to aggravate you. I’m “Man-Solo”.

Why is the clutch housing blueish? Factory tempered or friction from the clutch ?
Pierre Lachance it looked like it was bluing from the machining, but I’m not sure. We checked the clutch and it was fine.
I was curious about that also...
Can I use the same Rotella t6 5-40 diesel for this?
No, there’s a specific girl you use and I’m not sure the weight on that
@@ManCaveMayhem thanks 🙏

Would this work for a 2004?
This should be similar if not the same.

Its horrible working on goddam burgs with all that plastic and doubly horrible without a lifter. Good luck!
