I lost my mom and dad to cancer!! i lost daddy when i was 12 years old ,we moved to Florida from Indiana when i was 5 years old and i have a identical twin sister,3 big sisters and 2 big brothers but my oldest brother took his own life after daddy died because his wife took custody of their daughter away from him and he moved around so much so he never got the court date papers to go fight for her and then my other brother is serving life in a prison in Tallahassee because he held up a store,then mom got lung cancer is 2012 and she and I were so much alike that we used to argue a lot but all i ever truly wanted was for her to love and be proud of me!! like she treated my twin which lived 2 hours away and i am the only one that stayed by mom and when i found out that she was sick ,i dropped everything and i drove my 2 little girls and i everyday and took care of her!i also worked mom's job's which was taking taking care of elderly women that lived in mom's neighborhood and i did that because that's how mom's bills were paid but i am telling you this because i used to take my laptop to her house and play your songs all of the time to mom we both loved you on "Can You Duet"and followed you after that !! and I even played some of your songs at mom's funeral and then hearing that Joey was sick I was so sad !! my mom has now been gone since March 4th 2014 at 8:15 p.m. and I had just started feeling that mom was proud of me and loved me and yes i was 38 yrs.old by then but trust me i still needed to know that!! and just as I knew it,SHE LEFT ME!!! I cry a lot and miss her deeply and time doesn't heal the loss of your mother or father!! I feel like it gets worse! but i want you to know that i am so sorry for your loss! the world lost a beautiful singer and i lost a wonderful mom and dad !! and i just want to thank you for all of your music ,it has gotten me through many hard times and i have great memories of sitting with my mom singing with her!
