- Wanted a cheap door, since I only use them when it's blistering cold I came up with this idea. Hinges outward, easy to get in and out, Comes off easy. Love it or hate it.. works for me!
Mounted on a 2010 Polaris Ranger xp800
1/2" Snap Clamps goo.gl/mBlSvD
Canvass 8'x10' goo.gl/rJItrG

Yup, the price for a canvas Gator door is outrageous. Your design, material list and tutorial is just what I needed to get this project started. I new RUclips and the author of the video wouldn’t let me down. Thanks
Awesome! They work great
Great Job! Im now going to try this, THANKS
I subscribed. Gonna make me some doors like yours. You sir, did a great thing by showing us this. Thank you
if they work and keep you warm, then they are genius. great job.
HAHA, TY.. They actually work awesome!
Just what I was looking for I bought a krx 1000 and went riding the other day and we froze was looking on line for side windows and was shocked at the price man I don’t care what it looks like I would just keep mine in box in the back and use mine for like the day we rode and it was cold and raining that would have been perfect . Great job man
Thanks! 😁
Looks great. This is the video I have been looking for. I have looked at the "factory" doors/cabs for my Mule 610 and none will work with the modifications I have made. This however, will work. Thank You for posting this and I hope to try this out this winter.
Pretty cool dude thanks for sharing
Thank you, Gonna try the same thing on my Honda Pioneer 500.
They worked great
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. Would like to try this for my Honda Pioneer.
Curtis Henshaw Thanks! let me know if it works.
@@MotoCheez they worked out great.
Awesome!!!!
Dude you are a Road Warrior! love the idea.
Bwahahha!
Excellent!
Thanks for posting. Was looking for ideas on making some doors for my Teryx 2. I also refuse to pay over $500 for a couple doors.
Coho CarlThanks, it's crazy what they want for doors, these worked great last winter and I'm getting ready to put them on again this year.
could make the whole top part from clear plastic (same stuff as the front window ) and only use the tarp stuff on the bottom part , can dril and screw the plastic to the frame and add on extra bar on the underside of the window to stretch the canvas over
Probably
I get it work with what you have I’ve done that but over all good video
Thanks!
Yes I think it’s great ! Good job 👍
I’m glad you did this video.
I have an Artic Cat prowler I need doors for. Going to try half doors your style.
They worked for me many years. I sold the machine with my doors 😁
Ok thanks , it’s hard to find doors I have looked and found the doors with tops, full doors etc .
Your door idea seems like a better way to go. Thanks again
Came out pretty good only thing I would have made the window a little bigger
Agreed. It's all I had for clear at the time
Spray paint it OD green and it will look great .Good work.
Thank you for sharing!! Looks great ❤
Sweet and resourceful!
Badass dude
Great idea. Good job
nice job buddy, thanks for posting this
👍👍👍👍
If you hinge the doors on the back side it is much easier to get in and out.
(Once you get used to it)
Agreed, only reason I did it from the front is because the slant of the window keeps the door shut and I don't have to worry about it blowing open if I don't latch it
@@MotoCheez yep they do rip your arm off if your moving about 30 mph and you open them
That's great. I have the bottom half of my doors. I just want to enclose the top half.
Thanks very much!!
Great job. A couple of the "corners" look like pretty tight radius's. Did you use a standard emt bender? I have no experience with them but look easy to figure out.
Yes. A standard EMT bender. Then slightly tighter by hand. Thanks!
Super awesome video good job
I think if I get one I’m going to do something like this to a 2004 Yamaha rihno
Same here, almost 2 grand for a cab kit. Im doing same thing
+Michael Collins still working great for me!
great job mate!
TY
I’m a daydreamer, this video is going to make me a do’er lol
I just used a tarp
Bbq pit boys ending lol!
😁😁👍
Oh yeah
What is the thing that looks like a solar panel at the bottom of your windshield
A solar panel.... 😁 Small trickle charge one
MotoCheez do you store your machine in the sun?
@@BackyardBroadheads no, but when I'm working with it outside and running an inverter, winch or radio a bit more charge never hurts. I've killed the battery a few times before
MotoCheez word
Looks like it will sure keep the winter wind off of you.
nice job, did you hem the windows or use a glue to treat the cuts.
Charles Wittmer I didn’t. They didn’t tear. But that’s probably a good idea.
What is that on the front of your winch? Is that some kind of pully? I am interestex in what you did there.
It's the fairlead..
nice video!!
where did you get the front rack? I need something like that
Living the Spu Life Thanks! I actually made the front rack. Bought small atv rack off ebay and welded emt down to an angle iron that I bolted on.
What size tires and what windshield is that? Having trouble finding one for my 2010 ranger 700 EFI
Theyre 25 inch tires, the fold-down windshield I bought off of eBay so many years ago I can't remember who actually made it
@@MotoCheez thanks bud
thanks for the video. I subbed today.
Thanks!! 👍👍😁😁
MotoCheez your welcome
How do the velcro strap hinges work? Do they hold up well?
Josh Poley they work awesome. Just need something to stop them from sliding down, which my folding windshield does
Good to know. Going to try same thing you did then. Thanks!
Josh Poley I love mine, you would think someone would make a cheap kit like these to sell. The bends are the hardest part. They're nice and light too
How warm is it with a heater ?
David Kirkpatrick it's pretty warm without a heater. Heat comes from under the seat
Considering how overpriced aftermarket door are, this is a great solution.
I thought so. Only used when it was pouring rain or freezing outside.
He just gave me an idea and I work for a lumberyard
Went to polaris dealer today, solid doors are now $3,500+ and soft doors $750 .... no thank you!
Would there be a way I could contact you about your work?
+summer matthews best way is either motocheez instagram messenger or Facebook motocheez on messenger
What, no duct tape??
I know! I'm ashamed.... 😃
lol
M
She ain't pretty but most definitely doin the job.
True... Keeps the heat in
