My goodness you have some great soil!🧐😳 These are some excellent tips and tricks Lee. Boundaries in the garden are so important; protect that soil and in turn protect that tree/plants' roots. It was fun hanging out with you in the garden again.

Flipping heck, I've just planted some trees.
    Best get some rings.
Might be a little low down on the list of things my jungle needs, but it'll be a start.
    Cheers

      Not quite gardening yet!
More digging up years of dumped crap, but has great potential.
Thank for the reply too 🥰

Blimey, you should have seen the stuff we had to dig through to get a decent sized hole! Nothing like yours. ( my superman 8 yr old grandson did it all) . We measured for the ring, then waited for Everedge to post it. It's a curly hazel, so not sure if it'll need a stake: it's over a meter tall and sturdy. Ideas anyone?

I did it! Thanks for the advice, used some wood and rubber mallet, the tree is now soaking, ready to go in.😊

Thanks for this both helpful + enjoyable enjoyable video. 🙏🙏 Now I hope this is not a dumb question (my being new to gardening) but should I use a tree ring if I’ll be planting a circle flowers around the tree trunk, under its (future) shade? Or, is the ring meant only for wood chips mulch?
My garden is a bare slate, just soil + no lawn grass yet where my new opal plum tree will arrive for planting next week. Many thanks in advance for your good advice, as always. 🙏🪴😊

Hey Wem. Good to hear from you! I’d use a tree ring for any trees in lawn. Yes you can still plant flowers or bulbs even around the base which will tolerate some shade. Spring bulbs are a good idea as they emerge before the trees leaves so will be fine. If you’ve got more questions why not use the lively Garden Ninja Forum here! 🌿🥷👉www.gardenninja.co.uk/forum/

Answer to a question that’s been bothering me aaalllll day.
I called up a few garden centres and they didn’t have a clue what I was talking about 🤦‍♂️

      @Gardenninja  Год назад +1

I find it baffling that garden centres don’t stick them or suggest lawn edging for tree rings!! Glad to be of help! 🥷🌿🤘

@@Gardenninja My husband was telling me to calm down, it was really grating on me.
One particular garden centre I called, “I’ve been working in garden centres for 15yrs” she said “are you sure it’s a ‘thing’” she said
I told her to watch your RUclips video 😂
      I’ve ordered 2 from Everedge btw 😉
