Thanks, guys, for posting this. That's some great on-the-road footage and such beautiful country. It was really good having you both on the tour Saturday. That T really looks the part and the A did so well despite basically zero test miles. For those who missed the reference toward the end of the video, the group is the Vintage Touring Association of Alberta. Strictly Pre-1932 original vehicles and speedsters. This year we had a hub tour out of Strathcona County (Alberta) in June and this Adventure/Gravel tour last weekend out of Sundre, Alberta in the eastern Rocky Mountain foothills.
That is the type of roads that these cars ran on when new. In the US, my dad said the paved roads ended at St. Louis. he drove across country in 1930. Imagine what happened to your engine with an updraft carb. and NO air cleaner! Dad said he had to stop and clean the carb. and later grind valves on the side of the road in his '27 Chevy. He carried canvas water bags hanging off the side to fill the radiator. He said he would pass Packards on the mountain roads because they overheated.
I have done a few dirt road tours with my local Model A club. Some owners wring their hands and can't possibly attend, while others understand what roads used to be like and have the time of their life. The middle of the road is predictable, while the ditch is a whole lot more entertaining.
The only tour where cows are your number one spectators lol. For a moment there i was concerned about your radiator cap loosening up and falling off but you must’ve noticed it. Thanks for sharing this unique and fun experience with us!! Love the content and community!!
Matt. Jim, love the show. Thanks so much for taking us on the tour. I'm going to take my '29 Ford coupe for a ride Thanks to your video. Cheers from Wisconsin
That was quite a drive! It's a testament to the solidity of your vehicles and your own mechanical aptitude. Good to see the donkeys [12:45] running wild in the Alberta forests.
SG aka Matt + Jim, HG Wells wrote this episode for real. It was odd seeing cars from the future go by in the opposite direction! You guys were driving into the past with appropriate equipment on period perfect roads! Bravo guys!
There’s something in your words there, “ Cars from the future going in the opposite direction”. Should be a motto for Strong Garage’s time travel adventures... Thank you to S G. for great productions.
Brilliant video, thank you so much! Makes me think of John Gerber’s account of driving in his race car to the meetings in the 20’s and sleeping at the roadside on straw bales with a revolver tucked underneath!
Those old cars are probably very happy getting to drive on modern smooth roads compared to back in the day !! Cruising is cruising doesn't matter what you drive.
I see the landscaping crews were out keeping the grass trimmed ! Now you know why they had "DUSTERS" back in the day ! Back in the early 80's a guy took his stock 35 Plymouth across the states on only dirt roads where ever possible and the trip was chronicled in SR magazine. for several months. Great vid man !
Nice Tour guys ------ I have pictures of my Grandparents on their Honeymoon going from Naches, Washington to California in a 1917 Franklin ----- dirt roads ---- up and over the Cascades -------- Thank You for sharing with us ------- Rodney
I own a 1928 Ford CCPU, and you are right. They need to be driven. I like working on it, but driving it is a blast! I do 80 to 100 mile trips quite often, and driving a bit of history is so much fun
Too bad You Tube doesn't allow different bells for video notifications. I would choose your counter bell for my notification for a new Strong's Garage!😎
Fellows that made my day. Love seeing those old cars doing what they were meant to do. Run up and down those country roads. Bet you couldn't wipe off all the smiles that day with 80 grit sandpaper.
Thanks fellas, that was a lovely drive through the great outdoors. My 32 sedan had a badly damaged chassis and lots of stress fractures in the body. I imagine it was never driven on anything but unmade roads in the time it was on the road. It would have been luxury to drive on some of those roads and I imagine a lot were a helluva lot worse. Always a pleasure to visit with you guys, always something interesting going on at Strong's Garage. All the best, Mart from Mart's Garage in England.
This was so great. to watch. It brings back memories of a gravel road run I made about 30 years ago. I went from St. Paul MN to the Canadian border. I had to get every county map along the route from the state to find the gravel roads all the way up. The way up was 297 miles of gravel, 25 miles of un-maintaned roads that farmers used between their fields, and only 15 miles of pavement. Compared to you guys, though, I cheated because I drove a 4-Wheel drive Geo Tracker. I'll need to do it again when I retire.
Thanks. Really enjoyed watching. When we lived in New England we used of frequently go on a Sunday morning ride with folks in Maine on a similar but shorter trip. The organizers planned a different trip each Sunday. Their were cars of all ages. It was great fun. We moved and miss such road trips. Thanks again for posting this.
Great view and lots of lovely old cars. Just not enough onboard narration. I remember slugging down gravel Missouri backroads in my 58 beater Beetle convertible. Unpaved roads will definitely find those loose screws and nuts missed when doing the work on your vintage ride.
That trip has to show on tire wear quite a bit as those are not kind to old rubber. I don't know which is worse, gravel or black top as its kind of a scrub on tires that don't really have a great alignment that doesn't well wobble a lot and so its not perfect by any stretch of imagination... good times fellows
Enjoyed the ride. Thank you for sharing it with us. Love the sounds of the old drivetrains, so glad you didn't dub over it with nasty RUclips music! I use to go on road tours with my 59 Chevy..... Haven't been on one in a few years. Guess I should look into one as fall color will be soon here in Michigan.
That was very cool, guys. Thank you. I'm watching this with a couple of kerosene lanterns that I restored, lit, from that era. That's right, you can only enjoy them if you use them. All the best.
Looks like a great day 🎉 I don't think there is as many models or numbers as yous have on the run, awesome, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Great cars and scenery. The stop at the gas place was neat. Looked like a time capsule with all the old cars out front. I also learned that Canadians spell fireworks firew orks. Never knew that. Maybe you guys could do a tutorial on that Ruckstell, I don't know much about them. You guys are fun, be well.
Mine is not as old, a 1957 vw , but the driving is similar. Much different than a modern car, with clutch, brake, gearshift, and manual choke, you use both hands a both feet and sometimes get a run at hills. Great video.
The bit about making memories with your car is apt. I can tell you approximately when something happened based on what I was driving at the time. The LTD? That was 1984-87. The white Sierra? 2017-2022, etc. (I have been known to make jokes about going to the Ford section of car shows to see T and A.)
I’m always looking forward to seeing you guys and your next adventure. What a great event and the scenery and fall colours were amazing as well as the variety of vehicles. Well done.

* Ah, Yea ! The "Hump Busting" was worth it. That was like a "Ride Along" with Bonnie & Clyde. Thanks Gents and Cheers . 🍻🍺🍻👈😎👍
who doesn't love a nice 40 min video of some T n A!
I see what you did there lol.
Imagine how people of the 1920s and 30s would have loved such well maintained gravel roads.A very pleasant trip.
That looks a riot and a heck of a time. Smiles all around. This is what motoring is all about.
I remember an old guy telling how during WWII inner tubes were not available, so they would pack the tires with straw.
Pretty scenery , an outing
in the Canadian country
with cool 😎 antique automobiles 🚘 & good friends. Thanks for the
nice video. Kevin Phoenix

Two green mugs. Perfect balance now.
What a beautiful day for a tour. It doesn't get much better than that. Thank you for sharing. Cheers!
Very cool guys. Like going back 80 plus years to when the world was much simpler.
Beautiful country, 100% correct, built to be driven.
Omg, that must have been a blast. Thanks for taking us along, lol.
The whole tour going by in black and white film would be pretty cool.
That's one of the coolest things ever!
Matt. Jim, love the show.
Thanks so much for taking us on the tour.
I'm going to take my '29 Ford coupe for a ride Thanks to your video.
Cheers from Wisconsin
Would love to join you once my 28 pickup is running again, maybe next summer.
You really live in a beautiful corner of the world.
When my girlfriend asked me what I was watching that made all of that noise, I was honest and told her, "I was watching a little T and A show".
Just stunning, Gentlemen. Just stunning.
Now I have to sucker my friend into getting his barn find Essex on the road.
That was quite a drive! It's a testament to the solidity of your vehicles and your own mechanical aptitude. Good to see the donkeys [12:45] running wild in the Alberta forests.
Looks like a whole bunch of Bootleggers trying to avoid the Untouchables' during prohibition

33:37 Was very surprised to see sign for fireworks, for the obvious reason. Canada is in the midst of its worst wildfire season ever.
*Must have been a fun drive out, they all looked perfect parked outside that old store. Hi from the UK*
Brilliant video, thank you so much!
Makes me think of John Gerber’s account of driving in his race car to the meetings in the 20’s and sleeping at the roadside on straw bales with a revolver tucked underneath!
Thanks for the ride. No music appreciated. just the real sound of the cars.
Those old cars are probably very happy getting to drive on modern smooth roads compared to back in the day !! Cruising is cruising doesn't matter what you drive.
I thought this might be kind of boring but no way! The scenery and the cars were awesome! Thanks for sharing guys!

Well Done...I was on the edge of my seat! ...Newk from Kentucky
Beautiful country!!! Elliot Ness was riding in a Studebaker wagon with only two horses to pull it !!!!
I like that
Thanks for taking us along on your adventure! Truly magnificent.
So much fun, beautiful country.. I would love to find a nice place to camp and look at the stars.
That was amazing. I hope that any fillings stayed intact along with the teeth that they're in. Great job guys.
Too bad You Tube doesn't allow different bells for video notifications. I would choose your counter bell for my notification for a new Strong's Garage!😎
You guys live in a beautiful part of the world.
Adventure Tour
Thank you.
Thanks for the video. Nice cars and impressive scenery with the rolling hills and colourful trees.
A true man and machine adventure!
Thanks for sharing love the beautiful country roads model t. Time traveler
Great show, great cars, great scenery and great friends enjoying an Alberta fall scenic tour. Thanks from East Texas.
Fellows that made my day. Love seeing those old cars doing what they were meant to do. Run up and down those country roads. Bet you couldn't wipe off all the smiles that day with 80 grit sandpaper.
What a blast looks like everyone had a great day.
What fun and a great time to see the fall colors of the trees. Thanks for sharing. Looks like a good workout for the cars and drivers/passengers!

Looks like you had to eat a lot of dust at times, but it was probably worth it. Thanks for taking us along.
Really enjoying your work, thanks for taking the time to edit and upload these videos. Cheers from a proud patron in rural Australia!

very good guyes
What a absolutely lovely site! Hopefully they are still on the road a short hundred years from now!
When you're driving down those gravel roads, it looks like it would have when those cars were new.
Hello from Memphis TN. Glad to see y'all. Caught a little bit of the T races on Alex's channel would love to see some more😁
wow some teeth rattlin stone roads/////////////////////////////////// alot like those cars would have been on back in ther day.. thanks

EXCELENTE VIDEO . PARABÉNS AQUI DO BRASIL.
Thanks for sharing the adventure! Cheers! 😎👋🏎🏁🏁
easy to see why so many of these old cars would have TWO spares

Fantastic trip folks! I'm very jealous!

Nice ride out, fabulous.
Awesome footage there ,
Thank you for putting the video together
Keep 'em coming !!!!
I was expecting a lot more gravel dust. Looks like quite the adventure! And both cars seemed to perform well.

Great video.
Stunning.
As always guys.
🙂👍
The bit about making memories with your car is apt. I can tell you approximately when something happened based on what I was driving at the time. The LTD? That was 1984-87. The white Sierra? 2017-2022, etc. (I have been known to make jokes about going to the Ford section of car shows to see T and A.)
Beautiful scenery and great old cars and trucks. That looked like so much fun, I wish that I could have done a ride along.
That looks like so much fun! Thanks for the ride along.
Neat to see how much smoother the A is over the T. I went T myself..
Great video, guys! Thanks for the ride.
It would have been nice to ride in each car for a few miles!
I’m always looking forward to seeing you guys and your next adventure. What a great event and the scenery and fall colours were amazing as well as the variety of vehicles. Well done.
Thanks for sharing this. 😎👍🍺🍺🍺
Fun ride.
Makes me wonder how the 'Goofy Cart' would do with the twin cylinder...?
Just great guys. I agree completely about driving these old gals, but here in Los Angeles, I'd rather not.
That’s a great cruse ❤😂
Great video guys, thoroughly enjoyed it. From australia 🇦🇺
you just past my motherinlaw on the side of the street grazing
Cool run!
If you put another gasket under the dog bone rad cap it might sit straight.
There was littest hobo cameo at the end.
