Same. Being on a laptop (and with the schedule of a uni student) 2-3 hours is the maximum per-flight duration for me
Yeh I don't see how people do 6 and 9 hour flights. I like taking off and landing shortly. Then pick a new place and start over
@@hondarider100ryea I never understood watching a plane fly itself for 6-8 hours in sim. I'll do a max of 2-3 hour flights which is technically 45-1 hours of preflight prep up to cruising and then maybe 1.5 hours of cruising and then another 45 minutes of decent prep and landing. The 1.5 hours is enough time to make dinner or something but I'd rather be engaged for longer
When I do a long haul flight (say 9hrs) I take off and probably take a nap for a bit or do something else
Emirates have quite a few 380 flights that are under 1-2 hours to other GCC countries.

@@droidmotorola3884 I actually agree with you on this. There's always that one product that doesn't deserve to be free. Seeing I love the A32NX already, I believe they should at least make this available on the MSFS store with a price.

@@ADIRU22without a doubt! This is without a doubt the most heavily developed aircraft in any sim. 4 years in the making!! I’d imagine we are getting this probably close to Christmas time or possibly after Christmas! Who knows, they could have it ready comes fall maybe
@@Gamerguy-5014 years says nothing fslabs has working 6-8 years on his A320 and after release the plane gets 20 updates and bug fix.

That cabin reveal was AMAZING! I assumed the A380 would just be a cockpit and exterior model like the A320, but the fact that it will have a cabin too makes it so much better for me. I know it's not a mandatory feature, but seeing it elevated my hype even more!

Looks perfectly flyable. I think at this point FBW should release it to the community as alpha so it encourages other contributors to contribute to the plane. It is hard to contribute if the plane is still not released. It is perfectly fine if not all features are working upon releasing but that is fine, it is a community project and community will contribute with features and fixes
I'd love to contribute as a software developer. It's time!
I agree there's been payware planes released in worse conditions, it's freeware so if it can go from A to B even in VFR they should make it available to everyone

We're too used to garbage planes being sold on civ sims honestly. I'm not playing civ sims right now otherwise I'd donate immediately

@@MrBillUp I do know. I've been playing sims for like 16 years at this point. The issue is that the amount of "chaff" sold on civilians flight sims is baffling, even some of the "good ones" are garbage: i.e. I asked Milviz, now Blackbird, why their Pilatus PC-6 didn't show proper stall and spin behaviour and their respose was "they're not allowed so we didn't bother" . Like WTF it's an $35 plane and they didn't simulate its flight dynamics?
Basically after flying DCS 95% of MSFS modules seem like a scam.

Fly by Wire, blowing my mind and raising my expectations since the A32NX came around.
Fly by wire just casually adding a cabin to the A38X: "don't mind me"
Those of you wanting to do an authentic A380 take-off, first only engines 2 and 3 are throttled up, then at around 40 - 50 knots engines 1 and 4 are throttled up, this is because engines 1 and 4 tend to sit right at the very edge of the tarmac, and throttling them up whilst stationary risk's sucking debris into them, this is why you usually hear a double spool up during in an A380 take-off roll
This isn’t totally correct. Only done when on very narrow Runways. The double spool up is only on Rolls Royce engines. Something called METOTS. Which really isn’t done for FOD ingestion but for Fan instability.
@@kritarthgadhok3064 It absolutely is done for FOD ingestion, same reason only engines 2 and 3 have thrust reversers, and when you say 'very narrow runways' would you consider Miami international Aiport to have very narrow runways? because my flight on the 380 with Lufthansa had a double spool up, METOTS isn't what I'm talking about, I'm talking about 2 clear spool ups, METOTS can be done on all 4 engines simultaneously

Excitement levels through the roof right now. The sound of those Trents at TOGA, oh boy oh boy do they sound good!!! The transition to the cabin through the IFE was such a cool effect. Can't wait to launch time! :)

FBW hands down are pushing out the best freeware out there in the sim world. I don't think any other developer even comes even close.
@@FlightLevel380 FBW320 is pretty great for freeware. I can't remember any freeware being this good to be honest. Yes Fenix is more polished, but what other airliner freeware comes close to being this detailed? Keep in mind there's quite a few limitations by MSFS that makes devs hold out for MSFS24 to develop; Fenix and probably FBW included)
Better modelling and textures than on the PMDG 777 - and this is freeware. Great job!
