We do the same way ...my mother and granny used to take 21 days for seasoning the mud pots for fish curry. The first cooking would be either chicken skin or dry fish cooked in kodam puli with meen curry spices which is not eaten..but reheated for 3 days adding more water.. then the cooked item is discarded ( As it would have mud taste) and again wash the pot and dry in sun ... after that your meen chatti is ready for cooking.

Kadalamavu is good for cleaning man chatti.dont use dish washing liquid.
I did seasoning with kanji vellam and boiled with tea powder n kept for one day also...

കഞ്ഞി വെള്ളത്തിൽ മുക്കി ഒരു ദിവസം വെക്കണം.
തേച്ചു കഴുകി ഉണക്കി, ഒരു പിടി തേങ്ങാ പീരയിട്ട് നിറയെ വെള്ളമൊഴിച്ച് 5 മിനിറ്റ് തിളപ്പിക്കണം.
അടുത്ത ദിവസവും ആവർത്തിക്കുക.
നന്നായി തേച്ചു കഴുകി ഉണക്കണം.
അകത്ത് എണ്ണ പുരട്ടി ചൂടാക്കണം. കഴുകിയെടുത്ത് ഉപയോഗിക്കാം.
എന്നാലും കറ ഇറങ്ങുവാൻ സാധ്യത ഉള്ളത് കൊണ്ട് 2-3 പ്രാവശ്യം കറി വെച്ചാൽ ഉടനെ തന്നെ ചീന ചട്ടിയിൽ നിന്ന് മാറ്റണം.

സാധാരണ വെള്ളത്തിൽ മുക്കി വച്ചാൽ മതി.. ഒരു ദിവസം മുഴുവനും.. പിന്നെ വെള്ളമയം വെയിലത്തു വച്ചു ഉണക്കിയിട്ട് മുഴുവൻ നല്ലെണ്ണ തേച്ചു പിടിപ്പിക്കണം.. ആ എണ്ണമയം തനിയെ ചട്ടി ആഗിരണം ചെയ്തു കഴിയുമ്പോൾ അത് ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പാകത്തിൽ ആകും..
ഇത്രയും കാര്യങ്ങളുടെ ഒന്നും ആവശ്യമില്ല..
രണ്ടാമത്തെ ദിവസo ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പറ്റും..
ഈ അമ്മച്ചി 100 വർഷം മുൻപ് ആണ് ജീവിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു..

വേണമെന്നില്ല. ആദ്യ ദിവസത്തെ കഞ്ഞി വെള്ളം മൂന്നാം ദിവസമാകുമ്പോൾ പുളിക്കും. നന്നായി കഴുകി എടുത്താൽ മതി. ചട്ടിയിൽ ദുർഗന്ധം ഉണ്ടാവില്ല.
