For taming your pets, I installed the Dismiss Pet addon and keybound it. I love it and with one click, I remove my pet when it is not needed and in the way. Hoping more folks start using this method.

Thanks for sharing this. I’ve been doing something similar but this gives more survivability which I like. Was told by ‘pro’ players that no one has a twilight matriarch and it wasn’t needed so I swapped it out. Glad to have it back again!
thanks for the heads up on the 5-1-1 armor passives. being kinda new these types of games there is a lot to learn and i only went all in on one type. now i need to work my build to get those other one piece armor passive active too.
This build is my favorite I have to make myself play other characters to level them currently cp 291 on magsorc and not even max on any other but my mag dk. Tried other youtubers builds but this one is by far the most intuitive in the rotation of abilities and is a lot more fun.

Great guide! just wanted to let you know, that the gear selection on the written guide is a bit off (it says to use 6 pieces mother's sorrow and only 1 piece iceheart, so the shoulder seems to be wrong) also in the skills it reads twilight matriarch but the picture is the twilight tormentor. @@commotus8319 Well, if you are too stupid to realize that when you recast ability the former one officially ended then everything is complicated and hide behind some hidden conspiracy, the whole meaning of recast hinge on the fact that the immediate former cast ended. Since there can be only one unstable wall from one player at any given time the effects don't linger just like most target attack forms. It might be too complicated for simpleton to understand, my bad.
Advice for potion : add some healing to your basic Magicka potion since you don’t need spell power ! You never know, it can come handy in some situations especially the 20% recovery

Crit Surge is insane. It's by far my main heal. Once popped you can outheal pretty much anything short of a One and done death hit, combined with a shield and boundless storm you can casually solo pretty much anything. MagSorc is the alpha by far.
This is a great start for newer or those who wants to start magsorc but if you want more dps you need to get the psijic skills line channel acceleration and elemental weapon to replace force pulse as spammable, it will increase your dps considerably. False god (perfected or non perfected) is a must have for group contents as sustain is a big issue for magsorc and increase overall dps, of you can't do trials yet necropotence for me works better than something like Julianos because the max magicka boost still outweight some sets. Two pets still deals more damage and easier to sustain but for solo like vMA sustain can become a bit of trouble since you need to spam shield at times, lightning back bar also helps more because of the tri force dealing aoe damage. Heavy attack is a bit more viable this patch but light attack still deals significantly more damage. I use daedric prey instead of Hunting curse however rotation needs to be more dynamic and practice, I will morph twilight to heals on solo contents like vMA since burst heal is needed. If you put all enchant to maxagicka on armors running withc mother is not good since you will be below 17k hp unless you are comfortable at least put two hp enchant to make into comfortable 18k ho for solo content, in group contents where tank use buff gears like ebon you can run witch mother of you are comfortable with it and have sustain issues. For me I usually run cheap blue bi stat food and sometimes tristats where there are many mechanics that involves blocking roll doge,etc. The most important part is rotations and keeping that wall and backbar enchantment uptime close to 100% if not 100%, I run spell power potion or the one you can buy from bgerchant using alliance points, this is very important, it will give you good sustain and increase in dps. For easier content you don't need to waste and slot something like inner light or the other morph, critical surge. Hug target dummy and practice rotations for weeks, for cp optimization experience and practice will give you knowledge if not then you can use add-ons like combat metric to store parsing information, save it then use Constellation to optimise it. It's not the best optimization but if you are unsure it will help a lot in cp optimization and does a good job for the most part.
Love this build, its great. I made a few changes though. Only running 4/5 Necropotence to accommodate the Pale Ring, and I use a Lightning Staff on both bars. I'm lazy so I mostly spam heavy attacks, and it works incredibly well

What about the ARGONIANS, guess they would be better healers right? my real question is a sorc mage can play easily as dps or healer, right? I was unsatisfied with my argonian sorc just by its appearance, guess I'll create another character. It seems u gave one more motive to go as altmer

Yeah vet will come later when you're parsing 50 or 60k focus on getting your self decked out in normal sunspire gear and grab siroria from clousrest as well :)

If you want to use pale order use one monster set or any gear that gives spell damage, it will gives a little more damage than max magicka. Right now pale order doesn't have heal cap for some reason and of it continues to be this way it is worth the slot and lose iceheart even if they fix it, for solo content pale order will still outshine it since the shield is also around 5k.
Question about inner light, ive seen some guids run it on the back bar, is the buff only active when you have the bar up that it is on??? so if you have it on the back bar is the buff only up if the back bar is up? in that case is that why it makes more sense to keep it on the front bar so you have the buff up more often????
Yes, in order for the skill to work it needs to be on the active bar. That's why you should keep inner light in the one you're gonna use the most. But it will depend on your build, of course.

@@LuckyGhost Thx, but it's almost a total different build then this one. I like using Force Pulse as my spammable (in combination with unstable wall) and then Crystal Fragments when it procs. Also necrotic orb is no longer in the new build.
yes feel free to drop the matriarch. I may do that more in vVH as my matriarch had the tendency to end up dying on me when I needed her anyhow. Empowering ward is a great substitue as well

Sorry just came back to eso after a year break. A lot of this was very close to what I used to play on sorc with the exception of vampire. Is vampire not viable anymore? If not I will just cure on my mag sorc if it's not worth using. I keep hearing a lot of negative feedback on it.
Are there any addons that can make the matriarch summons wings stop flapping in the camera, it’s the most annoying thing and it’s there on all zoom levels besides completely zoomed out, why couldnt they give the little summon the heal this flying thing is obnoxiously annoying
if wearing ring of the pale order, 6 light 1 heavy. If not wearing ring of pale order ideally you will go head and shoulder heavy/medium (doesnt matter which is which)

@@jiladoper2 no you cant, because you need your 5 piece mother's sorrow (which is light) and your 5 piece false gods (which is also light). so you take one piece heavy with the left over piece. you miss out on one weight worth of undaunted passive, totally worth it to wear pale order
@@LuckyGhost I have tried, I use both, great build, I never use haunting curse before, now with most damage output from class ability, I'm using Overwhelming set for sustain and Innate Axiom for dps. frost staff in backup for damage shield.
Since you are using only 3 pieces of MS armor (rings and necklace,) it's a way to keep the 5 items set bonus on every time you need to toggle between your 2 skill bars. Staff = 2 pieces.
How would you rate this Magsorc build compared to a Stamsorc built for the same purpose? Currently running 2H+Bow but thinking of respecing to Mag to try the other side
Inferno is going to buff all single target damage, including your light attacks which on magicka toons accounts for the majority of your damage. On top of that fire procs burning which is another huge source of damage. For these reasons all of the highest mag parses you see, inferno staves were used. Hope this helps!

You're level 12, life is kinda supposed to be difficult at that point :D it only gets easier from here! the biggest thing you can do to improve your sustain is purchase some witchmother's potent brew from a guild trader. this will give mag regen, which will be very helpful for you!

Yeah feel free to replace iceheart with the new ring of the pale order and 1 piece of domihaus or sworm mother (will need to wear another piece of mother's sorrow on your head or shoulder to make it 5 pieces)
@Skankhunt42 Maybe, just maybe because the game has a steep learning curve since it a fast pace combat styles. Sets like siroria has its uses like dps parsing or some few trials and dungeons, it give the best dps on paper but you need to stand still on a small circle, like zaan which had a low range, it's hard for newbies and people who are general noobs which majority of the player base is. People who knows this stuff will improvised and tweak on it and improved. Not to mention the shitty servers and desync problems.
Im just curious why you would use a fire staff that boosts single target dmg instead of a lightning staff that gives a bonus to aoe dmg, considering that amost every singe skill but crystal fraggs that you are using are or can be aoe
I always tend to lean toward single target damage so I can spec into it with ele weapon for example when I need it. But your absolutely right a lightning staff would also be great with this build

Yes, go to your character sheet, scroll to the bottom of the list to the left where your active buffs are, highlight the twilight and there will be a choice to at the very bottom of the screen to deactivate .

I been running a full vampsorc(all 5 vamp skills slotted + ring) uses blood for blood (no crystals) with Perfect Scion as usable Ult. Sioria and Vamp Lord set. It performs great solo and vet dungeons. The spammable is hitting 27k crits and 32-35k when Ultimate active. Weapon is Decisive trait for more Ult and it has great uptime. In stage 4 with Vamp Lord set the costs are so low and when in Perfect Scion the vamp downsides are all negated which is why weapon trait.
Oh and its petless (but doesnt need to be) as double bar the frenzy skill. I think pets need a buff for the space they require. Or they should all just be able to be single slotted.
Ever thought about running mothes sorrow as armor and running medusa as jewelry and weapon (its a heavy set) both provide crit. Except medusa offers just a little less. Still a lot tho
Yeah Medusa is fantastic, great crit and minor force. Went for pfg here for sustain in some of these longer battles but you can build more sustain into the character with ele drain and mag rexover and run Medusa no prob
It's not meta, but for dungeon runs, even most trials, everything is viable. As long as you know your rotation and able to light attack weave, you are doing fine. A side note, if you want to run this build in groups, i reccomend to use twilight tormentor instead of matriarch.
Its definitely specced for solo, but it wouldnt be difficult to change out some of the self-healing skills for additional dots to turn it into a meta group build. Essentially a meta group build will have one self heal, or one shield. Typically more than that is unecessary because thats what the groups healer is for
No, it doesn't suit the group. Birds are most often used in PvP to cause interference with opponents. Guess what happens if you take the bird to the dungeon? Exactly. You will interfere with the whole group and you will be expelled at the first opportunity.

yeah the potion passive is nice for sustain, but its not fantastic for damage. healing passives make it decent for healer though!

yeah you get the maelstrom inferno staff inside the maelstrom arena in wrothgar (eastern edge)

Fire is better most of the time even with lightning having a buff to aoe's.

Why do you use skillpoints into medium? they give weapon critical and you're doing spell damage right... so they don't work together
You're right! The points for weapon crit should actually go down in to athletics at the bottom of the medium passives

Question about inner light, ive seen some guids run it on the back bar, is the buff only active when you have the bar up that it is on??? so if you have it on the back bar is the buff only up if the back bar is up? in that case is that why it makes more sense to keep it on the front bar so you have the buff up more often????
Yes, in order for the skill to work it needs to be on the active bar. That's why you should keep inner light in the one you're gonna use the most. But it will depend on your build, of course.

@@LuckyGhost Thx, but it's almost a total different build then this one. I like using Force Pulse as my spammable (in combination with unstable wall) and then Crystal Fragments when it procs. Also necrotic orb is no longer in the new build.

yes feel free to drop the matriarch. I may do that more in vVH as my matriarch had the tendency to end up dying on me when I needed her anyhow. Empowering ward is a great substitue as well

Sorry just came back to eso after a year break. A lot of this was very close to what I used to play on sorc with the exception of vampire. Is vampire not viable anymore? If not I will just cure on my mag sorc if it's not worth using. I keep hearing a lot of negative feedback on it.

In the video your Iceheart shoulder are light, which piece of armor do you have for Heavy & medium ?
if wearing ring of the pale order, 6 light 1 heavy. If not wearing ring of pale order ideally you will go head and shoulder heavy/medium (doesnt matter which is which)

@@jiladoper2 no you cant, because you need your 5 piece mother's sorrow (which is light) and your 5 piece false gods (which is also light). so you take one piece heavy with the left over piece. you miss out on one weight worth of undaunted passive, totally worth it to wear pale order
many magsor build will use lighting flood, this is a unique build,
feel free to replace haunting curse with lightning flood, that would work great as well!
@@LuckyGhost I have tried, I use both, great build, I never use haunting curse before, now with most damage output from class ability, I'm using Overwhelming set for sustain and Innate Axiom for dps. frost staff in backup for damage shield.

whats the reason for putting mother sorrow staff on second bar? wouldnt you want that on the bar that you do most your damage on?
Since you are using only 3 pieces of MS armor (rings and necklace,) it's a way to keep the 5 items set bonus on every time you need to toggle between your 2 skill bars. Staff = 2 pieces.
How would you rate this Magsorc build compared to a Stamsorc built for the same purpose? Currently running 2H+Bow but thinking of respecing to Mag to try the other side
they are both fun for solo! honestly comes down to if you want to smack things with a melee weapon or pew pew with a staff :)

I may have missed it in the video, but why inferno over lightning for the staves?
Inferno is going to buff all single target damage, including your light attacks which on magicka toons accounts for the majority of your damage. On top of that fire procs burning which is another huge source of damage. For these reasons all of the highest mag parses you see, inferno staves were used. Hope this helps!

Hi, I am following your guide for mag necro and lvl 12 but having hard time with it, sustain is big issue, is there something I can do to fix it?
You're level 12, life is kinda supposed to be difficult at that point :D it only gets easier from here! the biggest thing you can do to improve your sustain is purchase some witchmother's potent brew from a guild trader. this will give mag regen, which will be very helpful for you!

1 Question.. I don't have the Maelstrom inferno staff, yet.. I do have the lightning one, so what would be the better option until I get the Maelstrom Inferno.. Yeah feel free to replace iceheart with the new ring of the pale order and 1 piece of domihaus or sworm mother (will need to wear another piece of mother's sorrow on your head or shoulder to make it 5 pieces)
Why should we replace Mothers sorrow with medusa? It seems like mothers sorrow has more crit and gives us mana than Medusa?
was going to choose medusa for minor force, however, i've changed my mind due to the new armor passives. we are back with MS

@Skankhunt42 Maybe, just maybe because the game has a steep learning curve since it a fast pace combat styles. Sets like siroria has its uses like dps parsing or some few trials and dungeons, it give the best dps on paper but you need to stand still on a small circle, like zaan which had a low range, it's hard for newbies and people who are general noobs which majority of the player base is. People who knows this stuff will improvised and tweak on it and improved. Not to mention the shitty servers and desync problems.
Im just curious why you would use a fire staff that boosts single target dmg instead of a lightning staff that gives a bonus to aoe dmg, considering that amost every singe skill but crystal fraggs that you are using are or can be aoe
I always tend to lean toward single target damage so I can spec into it with ele weapon for example when I need it. But your absolutely right a lightning staff would also be great with this build

Re-slot the skill, if you haven't tried that
Yes, go to your character sheet, scroll to the bottom of the list to the left where your active buffs are, highlight the twilight and there will be a choice to at the very bottom of the screen to deactivate .

I been running a full vampsorc(all 5 vamp skills slotted + ring) uses blood for blood (no crystals) with Perfect Scion as usable Ult. Sioria and Vamp Lord set. It performs great solo and vet dungeons. The spammable is hitting 27k crits and 32-35k when Ultimate active. Weapon is Decisive trait for more Ult and it has great uptime. In stage 4 with Vamp Lord set the costs are so low and when in Perfect Scion the vamp downsides are all negated which is why weapon trait.
Oh and its petless (but doesnt need to be) as double bar the frenzy skill. I think pets need a buff for the space they require. Or they should all just be able to be single slotted.

No you don't have to, it will work with those traits as well

i think medusa will be better to use it insted of MS but you sacrifice undaunted passive with 5-2

Ever thought about running mothes sorrow as armor and running medusa as jewelry and weapon (its a heavy set) both provide crit. Except medusa offers just a little less. Still a lot tho
Yeah Medusa is fantastic, great crit and minor force. Went for pfg here for sustain in some of these longer battles but you can build more sustain into the character with ele drain and mag rexover and run Medusa no prob

It's not meta, but for dungeon runs, even most trials, everything is viable. As long as you know your rotation and able to light attack weave, you are doing fine.
A side note, if you want to run this build in groups, i reccomend to use twilight tormentor instead of matriarch.
Its definitely specced for solo, but it wouldnt be difficult to change out some of the self-healing skills for additional dots to turn it into a meta group build. Essentially a meta group build will have one self heal, or one shield. Typically more than that is unecessary because thats what the groups healer is for
No, it doesn't suit the group. Birds are most often used in PvP to cause interference with opponents. Guess what happens if you take the bird to the dungeon? Exactly. You will interfere with the whole group and you will be expelled at the first opportunity.

It would do ok in pvp but you'd be a lot better off with a pvp build in pvp
just set this up and im getting 6k dps on the dummy, is this right?
light attacking with this build without using skills should give you more than 6K so something seems off :D what level are you?
@@LuckyGhost YEah seems so. Im cp 450, just turned my old sorc who was a crafter back into an actual character :) The only thing I dont have is a few passives and 5th pieces fallen god enhancement.
