IDKY more Magicka builds don't max out Ancient Knowledge, when it's so simple: AOE: Lighting Staff. Single target: Inferno Staff. 8% more damage (And healing from Soul Harvest, Refreshing Path...) I love how you worked the Ultimate into the Rotation. That's awesome.
Channeled acceleration is for minmaxing and can be difficult to use in solo stuff like vMA because the casttime gets you killed. Using that slot as "flex" is a huge waste, as you're basically sacrificing 7% magicka and 12% crit as those are the passive stats you'd get from inner light (mages guild) EDIT: harness magicka should never be necessary as you have a damage ability that heals (ie if u need survivability, you may aswell kill something in the process) and there aren't really many onehits that aren't dodgeable/blockable outside of trials.
sure that's one way to look at it! but I can think of a few situations where I want to be able to throw a shield on when there's nothing to attack. like a bleed dot on second phase of MA. the bonus damage from backbar bar-buffer is trivial in non-parse situations, so I don't mind having flex there. Either will work great!
This my first nightblade character and I chose Breton for this build, simply because of the great sustain. Lvl 33 atm and already feels great and really looking foward to reach lvl50 and get into vet content with it, especially vateshran hollows and vma 👌🏻 keep up the good work man!
Just got to lvl50 and added my 810CP points as well. Now to gather few missing gear and I'm ready to try vma and vet vateshran hollows 💪🏼 so far feels very fun and strong build! And with Breton as a race I very rarely run out of magicka 😅
Does NB benefit from fire damage? If not wouldn't it be better to use a lightning staff for the aoe bar for the heavy attack aoe from tri-focus? If you ever find that you need to heavy attack.
It depends what you want to die faster, the trash (lightning staff) or the boss (inferno staff). The trash mobs didn't pose a threat to this build nor did they survive for very long so the inferno staff to take down bosses faster felt great! But either one will certainly have its advantages !

What armor should I be wearing? I'm just starting out. Heavy seems to have the best armor rating. But I like this MagiNightBlade build. Just wondering what Armor I should be wearing till I hit lvl 50

Stamblade can perform amazing too. I started with Stamblade and than i create a magblade because i cant play Stamblade. But now, after hours of playing eso, i know how to play Stamblade and i love it. I love both blades.

Thoughts on War Maiden with mother's sorrow?? I see that most of the abilities are Magic damage and war maiden gives 600 spell power to magic damage abilities.
I did some grinding to play War Maiden with Mother's Sorrow. Hits hard, but the trial sets (specifically False God's) just worked better by having that 5% bonus Dungeon/Arena damage off the top plus the great sustain.
@@LuckyGhost I've always been a fan of the hybrid playstyle, my favorite being nightblade. That's my current one using dual wield. Probably that one but obviously it's up to you brother lol
You could, but I'd have to play around with it to find an optimal setup for that! vamp makes non-vamp abilities cost more, so you'd want to use a vamp spammable when possible!

This is my build without watching this video, I'm here simply to see if I'm using my character correctly lol I feel like I could be more powerful the only thing Im truely missing seems to be potions and food and monster helmets. Only thing Im looking for are nice lightning staffs. They never drop for me.
Merciless resolve has literally never worked for me. ever. Swallow soul is great in pve but not so much in pvp. ITs good for trash mobs Haven't got any mythic yet, sadly. I use spinners and Warmaiden and I shift Vicious death in and out :) I also like Balorghs and slime craw, or one molag kena with something complimentary.

it can't be stressed enough that the key to damage and sustain is making sure to weave that LA in between skills.
might also add that in any mag parse your number one damage ability is your light attack. Light attacks are strong like bull!
Sapp essence (Mag morph) is an op Aoe and heals too, may be a better choice for trash mobs.
sap essence is a fantastic aoe spammable! i agree, great if you want to slot during trash pulls!

There is a quest for mothers lightning staff if you need one.

Ehh wood elf brings nothing to mag dps but it won't brick your char. It just won't do anything to help it either

that could be fun! sustain might be tough in longer battles but if you slot and use consuming trap i think you can manage it!
