The game is so damn good so far. The devs have been killing it with the updates. So cool that earlier this year we made requests for features, voted on them, and they’ve been continuing to deliver them to us. Awesome team making this game.
The addition of pet/farm animal taming, adding new NPCs, as well as letting NPCs (old and new) wander around has given a whole new life to the base building portion of this game, and it was already substantially better than in any other survival game as it was. With that, plus all the new building materials, new biome, new weather effects, multiple new gear sets for every spec, AND a level cap increase, this update was massive in every sense of the word.
I agree although they took everything from Zelda breath of the wild. So I wouldn't call it better than any other survival game. Zelda BOTW is the best and no other game comes even close.
@ the point is they could have released the game without updates and it still would have been better than most games and the updates they are adding to the game arent small fixes and finalizations its 100 hrs of content no to mention how much more there gonna add i cant think of another company that has added this much content to a early access game in recent years
This is good dev practice for EA games, releasing games near polish and having the whole plan ready, just need the time to roll out, give customer the confidence the game will be completed. Unlike some devs using EA games as water testing ground and their customers as lab mouse, even worst money grab or a scam.
I hope that when they are "done" with their roadmap, they add a seed-based random map mode, using their locations like stamps. And add water with fishing NPC + quests
I think we need some more roof block variety, and the ability to ward off freezing to death by warming up by a fire. Other than that I am very happy with this game. The devs caring about their community is everything.
My favorite addition? The musical instruments! Each instrument has several different parts, so the more people you get together to play, the more depth each song has! Also, the instruments are scaled from common to extraordinary! Im waiting for the legendary instrument quests to drop. Seriously, so much fun getting a large group together and playing the music! Im still trying to figure out how many parts each instrument has. I read that there are possibly 8 distinct parts per instrument, but the person who wrote the post wasn't sure! I'd love to get more people together to find out!
I find it a bummer that there is no water. They have a lava-like surface, but it's not "liquid" like other games have. I totally understand though.. the voxel world doesn't have a lot of options that don't break when you allow people to terraform. Hard to get a smooth "realistic" version of minecraft-like water that doesn't destroy a GPU.
I'm loving the new update and the game as a whole, but the lack of in game chat, text or voice, is unforgivable at this point. I run my game open, but can't actually talk to anyone who joins me.
I kinda want a biome with trees the size of skyscrapers, so I can build a metropolis hidden in the canopy of the trees, with massive bridges connecting them.
They have that in the blackmire. You can even make your own massive trees with the new new materials and stack a couple maxed out basses on top of each other build your own ewok village.
The combat really needs an update. You attack with the same animation through the whole game. Needs some new animations and heavy / special attacks. Also the early biomes need new enemies as you just kill scavengers the whole time
I’ve never played Enshrouded but you could make an online multiplayer Sudoku game sound fascinating so naturally I enjoyed this video a bunch! Great stuff as always
The game didn’t grab me for long when I bought it on release- but after this update I am HOOKED. I live to build, and I need the animals and NPCs. There is SO much content I’ll be playing for a while!
I got this game on sale once thinking, "Hmm, this looks neat". I expected I'd get a few hours of fun out of it before the novelty wore off and it would go gather dust in my steam library. 150 hours later and holy shit this is up there with Valheim and Return to Moria for me.
It's been on my wishlist for a while now, but figured I'd jump in with the update, and I'm having a blast with it so far, I hope I can get better at base building, building ended up being one of my favorite aspects in Valheim, but so far.. box with roof is about my limit.
The building mechanic was actually what got me into the game to start with, and I have had it since day one. I really did start out with just 'box with roof', but started cautiously upgrading...then I saw what other people did with their building possibilities and allowed myself to start going nuts. My first big attempt was...um...disjointed and rambling to say the least, but there is possibility there and I may well go back to that base, update it, and make it more actually functional. With the addition of new NPCs who all need a place to stay, I am indulging my building loves and making new cottages, houses, and even an absurdly tall tower to put them all in!
@@meriwidget3474 You will, I was much the same when I started, now I am getting some really nice looking builds done. I am not as good as someone like say Chiselchip, but Enshrouded's building system lets you pull off some really nice looking builds with just basic, fundamental building tricks, like layering. That gives you the confidence to start experimenting, and improvement just kind of flows from that. The more you use the build system of enshrouded, and the more comfortable and confident you get with it, the better you will become with it.. Don't be afraid of experimenting though. Watching those videos may have shown you already many blocks interact with each other in often cool and interesting ways. As you get more experience with those interactions you will be able to use them in some cool ways.
The ability to change appearance later on, either with an item, spell, or npc, would be great. Especially if they are going to add more to the character creator.
Hey Lucky, I watched a ton of your vids when I was getting into ESO a few years back. Thanks for the overview, this looks like a good one. Hopefully you get credit for my purchase 👋
It's crazy that any fantasy action, real time combat is considered souls-like. I wish they would add mounts like horses and maybe even flying mounts. I know there are gliders and grapple hooks, but I do like regular mounts too. Even if it's just an excuse to get another animal in your base and to make another building (stables) for the horses, lol.
I bought the game on day of release but was busy with palworld now I just got all my friends on enshrouded and we are excited I’m excited for the farming and taming!
Thanks for the video! This is all pretty exciting. :) I stopped playing a while ago 'cause I just got bored, but this is worth checking out again. It's definitely a fun game, even before all of this.
i played it when it first came out saw the potential knew it needed time im glad to hear its improved and not the opposite like other games do very hyped bc i did enjoy the time i played it ill revisit soon
Did they fix network optimisation? Because when it released it was completely unplayable in co op with people I was regularly playing Valheim with zero issues with. Network optimisation was extremely bad compared to Valheim, like I cannot stress enough how night and day it was.
I put 14 hours into the game on day 1. On day 2 i fired up my save and nothing was saved. I was still at the bridge area my buildings were gone. I haven't played since.
Guys and what about coop lagging issue. If we are playing with someone else, the host is has no issues but the person who is joining the game is 10-15 sec delay… Any news on that?
I would play this but I barely have time to game, and survival games become way too tedious for a lone player as the game grows bigger. Is this game okay for someone who maybe just wants to explore and build stuff? I saw this gameplay and it takes so long to craft stuff, it instantly made me feel like it's not for me
Hand crafted survival game with crafting, skill tree, open world, difficulty sliders, AND you can play single-player if you want? And it's on sale? Sold.
This game would be far far better if the endgame gear farm wasn’t building a spawn near a chest and using a relaunch glitch to get the best weapons in the game.
It looks so good but I'm just turned off by early access, I dont like the idea of spending hours in game just to not actually be able to finish it bc it isn't done yet, so I'm kinda just waiting for it to be finished
Its a cool game but lacks replayability because its the same everytime which is kind of a shame. It was a 1 and done for me, where as with valheim i have done a bunch of different runs.
Optimization is fucking shit in this game. Horrible texture popping, you can see through trees that are outside of the very small LOD, shroud is buggy asf sometimes. The creators are peak, they made portal knights which I used to play all the time as a kid and now are making one of the best survival games out there

I literally started this game last night.

I have never been a base builder, but this new update REALLY inspired me to make something the npcs and my animals would like to live in.
Thanks for the treehouse shoutout :) definitely such an amazing game with great building!! 🙌
Well done man! You're builds are insane!
Every game should have devs and updates like this
It's early access so it's normal to expect regular updates.

@@zretilEach update has been at least 20+ content hours. Game has doubled its size since launch. That is not normal for early access
Enshrouded has been my #1 game since I purchased it on a whim during the Steam summer sale in July 2024!!!
I just went back to this game yesterday, and it's shaping up to be one of my favourite games in recent years. Great game

Yes, this. Thank you! I don't see this kind of feedback nearly enough. The game could be so incredible with some improved combat.
True but it’s still early access. One of the greatest things about the game is that the devs actually listen to your feedback.

Purchased just on a whim and it’s been awesome. Only level 11 but really enjoying it.
Enshrouded has come a long way in a short time. Excited for the devs and this game in general. :)

Just got the game and looking forward to playing it soon.
I played on initial release. The most viable build was hop-wanding with infinite glide.
HOLY FUCK THIS WAS LITERALLY THE EXACT TYPE OF GAME IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR FOR YEARS
i prob played for 1 week after launch never touched game again and u convinced me to play it again
The Devs said that when the game releases officially they'd release it for consoles.. I been waiting for that for so long-
Question: at 7:27, what's the location, and is it pre built?
Craziest thing is that it’s still in early access. I’ve put in over 100 hours already!
You can revert to the old method for the glider in the settings I believe.
This is quickly turning into my favorite game of the year. See what stalker 2 brings before I can say for sure.

hi I only play my games solo. I'm interested in this game, is the solo experience worth it ? Also, does it have controller support ? thanks
it's a bit grindy but you can def play it alone
Is it already possible to change the names of the base houses?
Is this an MMO or has online capability?
If so, I'll play.
Not an mmo but you can play online multiplayer and have servers
It's currently my favorite game as well.
I want an option for a Procedurally Generated World... I know that it might be too much for this game, but this would change it altogether...
On easy settings this is a great, cozy survival sim to play with your girlfriend. Christmas is around the corner fellas 👀👀
I am hopelessly waiting for the console versions to come out...its fun my pc, but a game like then would be great in a recliner and on a big oled tv.
Did they add where you can change player height yet?
Its pretty recognizable
Can you play with friends or is it just single player?
Can't wait to see this on ps5
For me just switching items in inventory can drop my FPS down to 8 and just going into the glider animation drops my fps too. Rip

Now all we need is mounts
I feel we need base defens and base defense tools/weapon's.

the only thing this game is missing is a level editor

But can I dig straight down to Hell, yet?
Waiting for the PS5 release of this one, sadly my laptop get's really hot when running it.
Nice, this game is gonna be huge on console, calling it now!
So it is multiplayer online or single player?
Either one
I hope they add xp penalty options on death. i dont like corpse runs, and outside of that theres no penalty for dying.
The penalty is the often times long run back to where you were from your last spawn point. That's plenty punishment for me!
We need more bosses!
There adding npc that feel more alive next
wish my friends liked this game. idk how they love games like Valheim and dont like this game lol
Im gonna play when they add greatswords
Wish theyd fix the minidump crashing
Enshrouded, in EA, hit almost double the numbers of the new Dragon Age...just saying.
When this comes to ps5 im gonna sell my soul for this game
Can't wait for the Xbox release!
Beautiful game!
Is this enjoyable solo?
