Thanks for this! Is there a way to convert this build into a healer? The dungeon wait times are atrocious lately and my buddy is a DPS like me so would be nice to be able to switch from a One Bar Sorc Magicka DPS to a Healer when playing together.
Hey there. I just want to ask if you could explain to me why several sources say that storm master is better than noble duelist? I tested 3 sets and noble duelist came out ahead every time. Here’s how I tested. Lower hp dummie killed 10x with heavy attack only. Noble duelist average. 27k Storm master average 25.5 k Is it just because you get more dps from medium gear?
So I have been working with this build for a couple weeks now. I did change a CP points a little. I took out exploiter and put in thaumaturge. I was able to break 100k even while messing up a few times during the parse.
I built this for my disabled friend. She has low reaction time and physical fatigue so she’s never going to get the light attack weave down. The rotation is too easy so it’s perfect. She’s already logged a 100k DPS parse
Honestly hope one bar builds are left alone. While they're not my usual flavor, I think it's a great way to get more people involved in mid/end game and that is something this game desperately needs.
Agreed! I think they're putting out very reasonable numbers, for what they are. By no means, record breaking DPS, but enough to be genuinely useful in end game content. Theyre in a really good spot, I think.

The fact is that most of them have and use one bar builds, and some have been running the EZ sorc for Unchained and IR runs recently just the lols, even though they can do it quicker without. And the players at the top VERY rarely take the kind of attitude towards the rest of the player base that you think they do. (I’m a former pvper turned midtier raider for context.)
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! I've never gotten more than 30k DPS and on my first try of this build, I hit 77k! This si a huge win for me and will hopefully allow me to get into some more advanced content.
Just parse more and you will get 90k+. Just hold down the mouse button and don't bother with manual weaving. You can still cast skills while holding down the mouse. It makes also mechanics so much easier to concentrate on as you can move out of AOEs etc. while still using heavy attacks and casting skills, which i personally find more difficult with a LA build. Due to the huge Magicka and Healthpools you also won't keel over instantly just because a boss looks at you.
@@Goji_Bear No, it is when you either stand at a training dummy or at a boss in real content and just spool down your rotation without caring for anything else.

Because if you do your rotation perfectly without being distracted and have a good tank and healer making your job easier, you will obviously pull bigger dps because again, no distractions. Thanks 👍 I have actually been playing for many years (casually with long breaks inbetween though and english isn't my native language) but I never learned much of the slang of general terms of the game so it's nice to get things explained in simple terms sometimes, like you did :)

Don’t manually weave the heavy attacks. That’s why you only get 95k. Hold the heavy attack button down the whole time and just queue up your abilities at the beginning of your HA animation. It will auto weave. If you lifting your finger off the left mouse button you’re losing DPS.
Yeah I forget who pointed that out but I just queue up my shield in between heavy attacks. I’m using a pet right now for healing my companion. Would love a HoT personally but so far this works.
Deltia, this is so overpowered. I went from getting 1 shot from the storm lord boss to soloing her and laughing in her face. I am using a variation of your build with Hardened ward. This skill is one of the most broken skills in the game hands down.. and I am solo farming the rest of my storm master set (using order's wrath untill i get it) I can only imagine how nice it is going to be to have both the seargent and storm master sets... amazing. Thank you so much for showing us this build it is hands down the most fun I have had in this game thus far :) love your videos keep up the good work my friend. have followed you for years!
Hope they don't nerf this. I only have one hand and swapping bars is a nightmare for me. One bar builds like this have helped me enjoy my time in this game.

For anyone wanting to use noble duelist instead of storm set, be aware that there is a bug to how noble duelist procs. That is by melee range it does not mean hit box range but a specific contact point vs player distant that can vary from target to target. All small to medium size targets has this point close to their hit box size with the exception of very very large targets like dragons and trial bosses that has this contact point close to their head or center torso that is impossible to reach without taking massive damage from boss ground aoe. This in turn means lost of dps from nobles proc not happening on nearly most trial bosses since they are very big and has a contact point unreachable by the player.
I Hope this won’t be nerved. Playing this build for 3 weeks and it makes the solo content doable for me. I can finally keep up. Even I wear blue jewerlys
The HA 1-Bar Sorc is a great build and much stronger than many believe and certainly a good choice for most veteran trials and even for most Hardmodes. Only in highly optimized groups it won't shine and you might end up towards the lower end of a DPS Comparancy. I did vDSR, vSS, vCraglorn HMs, vAS+2, vCR+1 and vRG on my Sorc and always ended up in the mid to top DPS list. The build is flexible as you can easily swap out some skills to also provide some buffs/healing to the group. Use for example the Matriarch instead of the Tormentor. You can even use Vigor, Mystic Orbs etc. but comes at a slight DPS cost. After all you are playing in a group and not alone. There are however some situations where a 1-Bar Sorc doesn't shine, but you can work around these situations as well. One example would be the Tombs in vSS where your huge Health-Pool puts extra strain on the the Tomb Healer. He needs to heal you up to 29k Health. To work around it use a Parse Food for this fight that only increases your Max Magicka and your Health Pool will be around 23k only. And yes, the 1-Bar Sorc also works in Cloudrest. Just make sure you have nothing slotted on your backbar to count as a real 1-bar setup. You still get the Barswap mechanic, but it only does damage to you and the group for 2 ticks max, which is easily outhealed even by a newish Healer. The build is very flexible. You can easily swap to a 2-Bar setup and do more damage, but at the cost of more complexity and LA Weaving. If you run HMs (not trifectas obviously) you can even use the Sorc as a Rez machine. He doesn't die easily and can take a few hits while rez'ing. Cast a healing skill on yourself before the rez and you have enough time to get your mates up. In most cases it is even enough to re-cast your tormentor, so no direct need to slot something like Vigor. And contrary to the popular elitist view you still have to work to get good at the game. 95k DPS on a parse does not come automatically. But the build certainly opens up the game for many players and enables them to run harder content, which they couldn't do before. So don't be a dick and allow some HA 1Bar Sorcs in your groups. You might be surprised what they can do. Only in highly optimized Scorepushing groups and some Trifecta groups the 1-Bar Sorc is not an option and here more DPS is equal to a much easier run. But still, don't knock it, there are many situations where the 1bar Sorc still shines and sails easily through most Trifecta Dungeons and some Trifecta Trials. The Sorc does good flat damage, but lacks big DPS bursts and DOTs, but quite honestly, they are not required in many cases. The high flat damage equals this out very quickly. And in the end we all know that high DPS is not everything in the game. If a player stands constantly in stupid and doesn't watch or know mechanics it does not help if he can parse 120k+. In this case i rather prefer somebody who can parse "only" 95k, but knows how to play mechanic and doesn't play carpet all the time. And you also need to be able to translate a high parse to actual DPS in content. I know enough players that can parse very high, but in content they fail miserably as they run around like headless chicken and need to constantly interrupt their rotation. Then their stacks fall of, they need to catch them up and again an interrupt in rotation, more stacks fall off and so on.
Yeah, that last paragraph is so true. It's nearly always the mechanics where people fail, not whether they can do 120k or 90k dps on a trial dummy. Also, as you say, gamer skill is still vital... you can't JUST stand there with your finger on the mouse button and expect to be part of a successful group.

The elitist haters of one-bar builds were also the ones that screamed all the time that you must be at least CP whatever to run a simple Craglorn vet. The Oakensoul Sorc has its place, it can be used for most content. Everything else is just big D comparing.It is equally useless in real life as it is in game.
In solo play and with unoptimized groups noble duelist will do more damage than storm surge if you can proc it, infallible aether is slightly less damage but it applies minor vuln on the target and can be used on any encounter
@@FactFlashDaily1 I do admit I'm kind of bored of this playstyle already haha, I still use it for leveling skill lines and such and on some characters that don't have gear for random normals but otherwise I'm mostly back to using traditional builds.
I’ve only ever been a tank since eso was launched and now I can run a dps character that isn’t so complicated it’s not worth bothering to try. This just became a fun new game again. Thank you for the build man.
EDIT: Entaro already said this. Skip down to the numbers and ALL CAPS sections, then go to Entaro's comment. I have truncated this comment to only include the most important instructions. 1) Hold attack key down 2) Wait till your staff begins the windup animation and raises slightly 3) Press GDC key while continuing to hold attack key 4) Your HA will fire and your character will immediately use the GCD you queued. Note: make sure you wait for that animation, otherwise you will use two GCD's in a row and cancel your HA entirely. As explained below by Entaro, you can only queue one ability per HA channel, and whatever ability input was last hit will be the one fired, giving you room for error and correction before your HA bolt fires.
Keep up twilight tormentor until 50%. Adds about 2k. Also, try switching hurricane for elemental susceptibility. Enables you to use poison enchant on the staff for an extra enchantment. These two changes will get you to 100k+
Although good for solo, elemental susceptibility gets overriden by other sources of major breach (tanks) in groups. It’s supposed to be getting fixed this patch.
Oakensoul has allowed me as a new player to keep up with the OGs in dungeons. I use one bar builds to run through daily dungeons fast so I appreciate these builds. Eventually I’m gonna transition to 2 bars. I just haven’t figured out weaving and rotation yet.
If you swap for shock weapon enchantment. That also concusses. Paired with wall of elements that will get off balance. And then you have room on your bar to potentially pick other skills that are better for flat damage, instead of focussed on concussion effects
Use this exact build on my main character. I get an average of 90k DPS on the parse with 102k DPS spikes. Just love how easy this build makes things you always wanted to do but never could. This build opens up many doors for new and experienced players.
This is super good info for players who just wanna go one bar. Myself been playing this set up for some time now and its really good. Yesterday i got 105k dps but i guess that was a super lucky parse, but now i know 105k is possible. Im on console PS4 EU. Guild the Oakensoulers 👌
very similar to the setup im using which i really enjoy, iv never been a fan of the monkey so i use structured entropy for the dot and the extra hot, iv tried using crystal frags and while its nice getting those big spikes of damage iv found the proc chance to be very hit and miss but i may revisit it by trying the way u parse cos i find myself sometimes doing 2 or even 3 skills b4 going back to my heavy attack without realising im doing it, cheers for the tips and hopefully they will help me out too

At about 13:30 you mention hurricane procs off-balance but, doesn't the trial dummy include off-balance anyway? Having said that I'm not sure it does now I've said it :D. Time for some experiments. Of course, it does give decent damage and other benefits which is the aim, after all :) Nice vid BTW. very thought-provoking :) Just as an aside, IMO more traditional 'weaving' high-dps setups will ALWAYS give higher dps than a heavy attack build which, personally, I think is right as they're harder to play. What I think these sorts of HA builds WILL do is to widen the range of people that can try the harder content so they can, for instance, get a better understanding of the mechanics in vet trials and so forth. If if they do THAT it HAS to be of benefit to the game :)
@@jasonmpease Yes, I did some experiments and, as I thought, the trial dummy DOES give off-balance regardless of what skills/ gears/ whatever, you use. In content, of course, you have to generate that yourself with either you or your group. Wall of elements is the obvious way with a lightning staff because the staff attack gives concussed and concussed gives OB for 7 seconds out of 15, IIRC. But you could also use cutting give/screaming cliff racer with a warden if you're more than 7 metres away. But, as it stands, hurricane, on it's own doesn't appear to proc OB on it's own from what I can see.
My god I’ve played eso for years on and off don’t mind admitting I’ve always been low on dps scale but this build has transformed my damage through the roof I’ll never be a light attack weaving god I’m just not good enough but I can’t safely say I can do all content while doing my part thank you ❤
How do we apply Off Balance if we are not using Elemental Blockade or Unstable Wall of Elements? You said the Hurricane does this, but I don't see how.
I don't fully understand the whole parse thing? If you're using certain skills and food etc to reach a high DPS number, but then in actual content you're gonna switch some stuff out and not reach that number, why are people so interested in that parse number? Surely the numbers from the actual setup you'll be playing the content with is more important?
I stopped doing trials with guilds who focus so much on the parse numbers...it's not accurate at all most of the time. Not saying it doesn't give you an idea or with some people it's accurate...but the problem also comes when someone with insane DPS is in a trial and dies...then they're doing 0 DPS and so is another DD reviving them...
In some content u can use the parse set up for example in vKA cause u mostly stay in melee range there and u always hit bosses from back. But in more dynamic trials like vDSR or even dlc hm dungeons u should definitely swap out different abilities. It s not about copy-pasting builds, but understanding what s ur class s capable off
For example in vSS the backstabber s useless against these bosses. So the fighting finesse s better option also it depends on ur group. More experienced dds in trials don’t use crit dmg cp instead one of the dpses run elemental catalyst. Not to mention zen, alkosh, nunatak
Trial dps is much higher than dummy dps (when parsing on boss) and if you can't do a certain dps on the most optimal gear, rotation, and food then your damage will be lower. This game is play how you want so like run with like minded people. I personally want to kill things fast and not wipe over and over so I try to parse higher

Just got all the gear for this build and have been parsing to see if I can hit those same numbers. So far the only thing I can't seem to replicate is his penetration and crit damage numbers. Any advice?
I also run Power Overload on my sorcerer heavy attack build. I'll build up my stacks on, for example, the final boss, pop power Overload then let the lightning melt everything.
Very similar to the build I'm already using. I was actually thinking about swapping one of my sets for Storm Master so I just might do that now. Also, "chutney" is pronounced just as it looks lol. Chut-nee (chut rhymes with hut). It's also really delicious. You should try it sometime.
I came here looking to see how to change my build and if it could get ridiculous somehow. I’m new to the game, only started last week but those are the exact moves I’m using. Even one of the sets, so I guess I built it right by simply picking the skills I like. O: I did have splash until I thought I’d get more variety of rebuffs in, so bleed it was My friend rushed me through dungeons to level me quick, then I started looking for that maw of inferno armour. Hoping to get a third pet. But I’ll look into this medium armour.
Wouldnt the armor of truth set be anygood in this setup? Since you do alot of offbalanced damage en that will boost your spelldamage? A serious question cause i dont have to resource to test it myself on maxed gear
Nice build Deltia. I've been thinking about making this build now for a few weeks and a day or so ago, I got to see it in action. It absolutely crushed the 4-man rnd I was in. All the trash mobs were dead before anyone could get 2 or 3 click into their rotation. The bosses dropped in seconds. Anyway, that really helped me make up my mind about this build. I do, however, have a question. In your written build you state, "make sure to use a two bar build for Veteran Cloud Rest where bar swapping is required" however, you don't give any 2 bar options (gear & skills) in the written guide or in the video (unless I just completely missed it). How would the 2 bar be setup?
Apologies if I'm just not seeing it, but what's the rotation for the solo (non-parse) set up? On the text guide I see a rotation for parse but I assume that isn't the same. Thank you!

Other creators have been updating there one bar builds, do you have any more updates coming? I used storm masters for awhile but recently switched to mora scribe from lucent citadel. For me it parses the same. I tried highland sentinel and hit over 80k but for me that set doesn't work in content. But I do love the one bar builds just wish I could get good with the two bar
I don't understand enough about eso to really know everything that was talked about, or what all the comments are talking about. I'm also pretty new to the game and haven't played an mmo before. My only character is a magicka Sorcerer and this seems pretty good. I only play solo or with a random group so I might attempt this
@@baryb83 - The dummy takes extra damage from burning but in normal content burning comes from many other sources and classes but poison works well everywhere.
i have the exact same setup and my penetration is on 1639... I'm using the thief stone but I switch to lover stone then I lose critical. Anyone know how he has high penetration?
The thing I have noticed that anything that boosts heavy attacks also boosts Energy Overload. Even though I still use Juliana's and Orders Wrath, (5 light, 1med, 1hvy) plus other things Spell Damage over 5800 I can get close to 11000/tick for front 120 degree heavy attack. I am curious what would it do with your choice of sets. I do get the feeling of being ESO version of a Sith
what should i do if some dots run out before heavy attack is done? shall i use dots even if heavy attack is not done? my english sucks. i hope you understand what i mean?
I don't see where Hurricane causes Off-Balance. Also, please show a breakdown of how to get 125% crit damage. If you could itemize it by each individual buff, that would be great.
This build is game breaking, hence brokensoul. I just meandered thru Vet Vateshran and Maelstrom with no death no sigil speed runs without breaking a sweat. During the last event I was constantly on top of the Hodor dps share for all the pugs I joined in VSS, by about 20% higher. I am an average player with knowledge of the game who parses ~80k, but this just feels like cheating. Maybe what could balance this is added cheeves that specifically forbid brokensoul....idk. Just feeling a bit disenchanted with the game now, but also feel going back to regular builds is a handicap. Guess it might be time to pvp more than just dabble. Great content as always. Still my goto for everything ESO.

@@clintdickerson1673 I guess it means do quests and stuff, play the game, mothers sorrow you can get from some quests (I think) and it also drops from delves, dungeons etc :)
theres no reason to switch skills for a parase unless you have ahole trial friends. parse is best possible damage sure, but if you switch back to dif skills for group content then w/e you do on the parse is irrelevant because you switched skills and now yer deeps is different. Plus parse vs mechanics will be slightly different probs lower deeps. What i'd want to test is my top dps in the gear that i'd be using in content. that's the best reflection of what dps you can achieve
I have a question, does lightning heavy attacks proc off balance itself to use exploiter cp passive? or do I need to use blockade for flex spot to proc off balance so i can use exploiter?
If youre only using 4 pieces of the Sergeant's Mail set arent you losing the 5 set bonus? Whats the point of using the set if you dont get the 5 piece? I'm still fairly new so I could be missing something.

Why are u using spell enchants on jewerly when physican enchants buff weapon damage? and "precise" trait on weapon instead of "nirnhorned"? does not weapon damage incease heavy attack damage?
Curious about performance without pets on this build. I am testing subbing Dark Conversion (selfish heals) or Echoing Vigor (group heals) instead of Matriarch. I wonder if Overflowing Alter would be better? Also, replacing Volatile Familiar with Crushing Shock. Thoughts?

Hope they don't nerf this. I only have one hand and swapping bars is a nightmare for me. One bar builds like this have helped me enjoy my time in this game.
Thank you so much for making this. It's a great 'entry level' DPS so that I can confidently do more content to get the armor I need to do make the builds I want to make hah.
For anyone wanting to use noble duelist instead of storm set, be aware that there is a bug to how noble duelist procs. That is by melee range it does not mean hit box range but a specific contact point vs player distant that can vary from target to target.
All small to medium size targets has this point close to their hit box size with the exception of very very large targets like dragons and trial bosses that has this contact point close to their head or center torso that is impossible to reach without taking massive damage from boss ground aoe.
This in turn means lost of dps from nobles proc not happening on nearly most trial bosses since they are very big and has a contact point unreachable by the player.
I Hope this won’t be nerved. Playing this build for 3 weeks and it makes the solo content doable for me. I can finally keep up. Even I wear blue jewerlys
The HA 1-Bar Sorc is a great build and much stronger than many believe and certainly a good choice for most veteran trials and even for most Hardmodes. Only in highly optimized groups it won't shine and you might end up towards the lower end of a DPS Comparancy. I did vDSR, vSS, vCraglorn HMs, vAS+2, vCR+1 and vRG on my Sorc and always ended up in the mid to top DPS list.
The build is flexible as you can easily swap out some skills to also provide some buffs/healing to the group. Use for example the Matriarch instead of the Tormentor. You can even use Vigor, Mystic Orbs etc. but comes at a slight DPS cost. After all you are playing in a group and not alone. There are however some situations where a 1-Bar Sorc doesn't shine, but you can work around these situations as well. One example would be the Tombs in vSS where your huge Health-Pool puts extra strain on the the Tomb Healer. He needs to heal you up to 29k Health. To work around it use a Parse Food for this fight that only increases your Max Magicka and your Health Pool will be around 23k only.
And yes, the 1-Bar Sorc also works in Cloudrest. Just make sure you have nothing slotted on your backbar to count as a real 1-bar setup. You still get the Barswap mechanic, but it only does damage to you and the group for 2 ticks max, which is easily outhealed even by a newish Healer.
The build is very flexible. You can easily swap to a 2-Bar setup and do more damage, but at the cost of more complexity and LA Weaving. If you run HMs (not trifectas obviously) you can even use the Sorc as a Rez machine. He doesn't die easily and can take a few hits while rez'ing. Cast a healing skill on yourself before the rez and you have enough time to get your mates up. In most cases it is even enough to re-cast your tormentor, so no direct need to slot something like Vigor.
And contrary to the popular elitist view you still have to work to get good at the game. 95k DPS on a parse does not come automatically. But the build certainly opens up the game for many players and enables them to run harder content, which they couldn't do before. So don't be a dick and allow some HA 1Bar Sorcs in your groups. You might be surprised what they can do. Only in highly optimized Scorepushing groups and some Trifecta groups the 1-Bar Sorc is not an option and here more DPS is equal to a much easier run. But still, don't knock it, there are many situations where the 1bar Sorc still shines and sails easily through most Trifecta Dungeons and some Trifecta Trials. The Sorc does good flat damage, but lacks big DPS bursts and DOTs, but quite honestly, they are not required in many cases. The high flat damage equals this out very quickly. And in the end we all know that high DPS is not everything in the game. If a player stands constantly in stupid and doesn't watch or know mechanics it does not help if he can parse 120k+. In this case i rather prefer somebody who can parse "only" 95k, but knows how to play mechanic and doesn't play carpet all the time. And you also need to be able to translate a high parse to actual DPS in content. I know enough players that can parse very high, but in content they fail miserably as they run around like headless chicken and need to constantly interrupt their rotation. Then their stacks fall of, they need to catch them up and again an interrupt in rotation, more stacks fall off and so on.

Yeah, that last paragraph is so true. It's nearly always the mechanics where people fail, not whether they can do 120k or 90k dps on a trial dummy. Also, as you say, gamer skill is still vital... you can't JUST stand there with your finger on the mouse button and expect to be part of a successful group.

The elitist haters of one-bar builds were also the ones that screamed all the time that you must be at least CP whatever to run a simple Craglorn vet. The Oakensoul Sorc has its place, it can be used for most content. Everything else is just big D comparing.It is equally useless in real life as it is in game.

In solo play and with unoptimized groups noble duelist will do more damage than storm surge if you can proc it, infallible aether is slightly less damage but it applies minor vuln on the target and can be used on any encounter
Never was an friend with pets. So I must say Noble Duelist is very good. Never thought I will be using only heavy attack and wall of elements. 😂
@@FactFlashDaily1 I do admit I'm kind of bored of this playstyle already haha, I still use it for leveling skill lines and such and on some characters that don't have gear for random normals but otherwise I'm mostly back to using traditional builds.

I made one but i wasn't very impressed. Think i maxed out at 90k on dummy. Same sets, Oakensoul then put DoTs down. Same with any other class.
Same gear will do 100k+
7:30 Barbed Trap gives you Minor Force not Minor Berserk. Camouflaged hunter or a healer with Combat Prayer gives you Minor Berserk.

I have truncated this comment to only include the most important instructions.
1) Hold attack key down
2) Wait till your staff begins the windup animation and raises slightly
3) Press GDC key while continuing to hold attack key
4) Your HA will fire and your character will immediately use the GCD you queued.
Note: make sure you wait for that animation, otherwise you will use two GCD's in a row and cancel your HA entirely. As explained below by Entaro, you can only queue one ability per HA channel, and whatever ability input was last hit will be the one fired, giving you room for error and correction before your HA bolt fires.
Keep up twilight tormentor until 50%. Adds about 2k. Also, try switching hurricane for elemental susceptibility. Enables you to use poison enchant on the staff for an extra enchantment. These two changes will get you to 100k+
Although good for solo, elemental susceptibility gets overriden by other sources of major breach (tanks) in groups. It’s supposed to be getting fixed this patch.
Oakensoul has allowed me as a new player to keep up with the OGs in dungeons. I use one bar builds to run through daily dungeons fast so I appreciate these builds. Eventually I’m gonna transition to 2 bars. I just haven’t figured out weaving and rotation yet.
If you swap for shock weapon enchantment. That also concusses. Paired with wall of elements that will get off balance. And then you have room on your bar to potentially pick other skills that are better for flat damage, instead of focussed on concussion effects
Use this exact build on my main character. I get an average of 90k DPS on the parse with 102k DPS spikes. Just love how easy this build makes things you always wanted to do but never could. This build opens up many doors for new and experienced players.

This is super good info for players who just wanna go one bar. Myself been playing this set up for some time now and its really good. Yesterday i got 105k dps but i guess that was a super lucky parse, but now i know 105k is possible. Im on console PS4 EU. Guild the Oakensoulers 👌
i think its completely viable, ive seen the hardest dungeon trifectas done with x3 heavy sorc
very similar to the setup im using which i really enjoy, iv never been a fan of the monkey so i use structured entropy for the dot and the extra hot, iv tried using crystal frags and while its nice getting those big spikes of damage iv found the proc chance to be very hit and miss but i may revisit it by trying the way u parse cos i find myself sometimes doing 2 or even 3 skills b4 going back to my heavy attack without realising im doing it, cheers for the tips and hopefully they will help me out too

At about 13:30 you mention hurricane procs off-balance but, doesn't the trial dummy include off-balance anyway? Having said that I'm not sure it does now I've said it :D. Time for some experiments. Of course, it does give decent damage and other benefits which is the aim, after all :) Nice vid BTW. very thought-provoking :)
Just as an aside, IMO more traditional 'weaving' high-dps setups will ALWAYS give higher dps than a heavy attack build which, personally, I think is right as they're harder to play. What I think these sorts of HA builds WILL do is to widen the range of people that can try the harder content so they can, for instance, get a better understanding of the mechanics in vet trials and so forth. If if they do THAT it HAS to be of benefit to the game :)

@@jasonmpease Yes, I did some experiments and, as I thought, the trial dummy DOES give off-balance regardless of what skills/ gears/ whatever, you use. In content, of course, you have to generate that yourself with either you or your group. Wall of elements is the obvious way with a lightning staff because the staff attack gives concussed and concussed gives OB for 7 seconds out of 15, IIRC. But you could also use cutting give/screaming cliff racer with a warden if you're more than 7 metres away. But, as it stands, hurricane, on it's own doesn't appear to proc OB on it's own from what I can see.
My god I’ve played eso for years on and off don’t mind admitting I’ve always been low on dps scale but this build has transformed my damage through the roof I’ll never be a light attack weaving god I’m just not good enough but I can’t safely say I can do all content while doing my part thank you ❤
How do we apply Off Balance if we are not using Elemental Blockade or Unstable Wall of Elements? You said the Hurricane does this, but I don't see how.
I hate to lose a bonus from light passives by using a piece of heavy, but that sergeants mail is too good.
I don't fully understand the whole parse thing? If you're using certain skills and food etc to reach a high DPS number, but then in actual content you're gonna switch some stuff out and not reach that number, why are people so interested in that parse number? Surely the numbers from the actual setup you'll be playing the content with is more important?
I stopped doing trials with guilds who focus so much on the parse numbers...it's not accurate at all most of the time. Not saying it doesn't give you an idea or with some people it's accurate...but the problem also comes when someone with insane DPS is in a trial and dies...then they're doing 0 DPS and so is another DD reviving them...
In some content u can use the parse set up for example in vKA cause u mostly stay in melee range there and u always hit bosses from back. But in more dynamic trials like vDSR or even dlc hm dungeons u should definitely swap out different abilities. It s not about copy-pasting builds, but understanding what s ur class s capable off
For example in vSS the backstabber s useless against these bosses. So the fighting finesse s better option also it depends on ur group. More experienced dds in trials don’t use crit dmg cp instead one of the dpses run elemental catalyst. Not to mention zen, alkosh, nunatak
Trial dps is much higher than dummy dps (when parsing on boss) and if you can't do a certain dps on the most optimal gear, rotation, and food then your damage will be lower.
This game is play how you want so like run with like minded people. I personally want to kill things fast and not wipe over and over so I try to parse higher
Oh and DPS doesn't change the fact you need to know the mechs :') Too many people I've had in trials just think they can throw damage and ignore mechs
I don't get it. How are you getting the 5 piece bonus from both sets? You talk about the Sergeants focus stacks but are only wearing 4 pieces.

I also run Power Overload on my sorcerer heavy attack build. I'll build up my stacks on, for example, the final boss, pop power Overload then let the lightning melt everything.

My friend rushed me through dungeons to level me quick, then I started looking for that maw of inferno armour. Hoping to get a third pet. But I’ll look into this medium armour.
Wouldnt the armor of truth set be anygood in this setup? Since you do alot of offbalanced damage en that will boost your spelldamage? A serious question cause i dont have to resource to test it myself on maxed gear
Nice build Deltia. I've been thinking about making this build now for a few weeks and a day or so ago, I got to see it in action. It absolutely crushed the 4-man rnd I was in. All the trash mobs were dead before anyone could get 2 or 3 click into their rotation. The bosses dropped in seconds. Anyway, that really helped me make up my mind about this build. I do, however, have a question. In your written build you state, "make sure to use a two bar build for Veteran Cloud Rest where bar swapping is required" however, you don't give any 2 bar options (gear & skills) in the written guide or in the video (unless I just completely missed it). How would the 2 bar be setup?

Other creators have been updating there one bar builds, do you have any more updates coming? I used storm masters for awhile but recently switched to mora scribe from lucent citadel. For me it parses the same. I tried highland sentinel and hit over 80k but for me that set doesn't work in content. But I do love the one bar builds just wish I could get good with the two bar
Why not use Volcanic Rune? Huge explosion and provides a DoT to all affected, and it’s 20s so more time for HAs
I don't understand enough about eso to really know everything that was talked about, or what all the comments are talking about. I'm also pretty new to the game and haven't played an mmo before. My only character is a magicka Sorcerer and this seems pretty good. I only play solo or with a random group so I might attempt this

Flame Glyph for trials and parsing. Poison for solo/group content.

@@baryb83 - The dummy takes extra damage from burning but in normal content burning comes from many other sources and classes but poison works well everywhere.
The DoT hits hardest on a parse.

The thing I have noticed that anything that boosts heavy attacks also boosts Energy Overload. Even though I still use Juliana's and Orders Wrath, (5 light, 1med, 1hvy) plus other things Spell Damage over 5800 I can get close to 11000/tick for front 120 degree heavy attack. I am curious what would it do with your choice of sets. I do get the feeling of being ESO version of a Sith

I don't see where Hurricane causes Off-Balance. Also, please show a breakdown of how to get 125% crit damage. If you could itemize it by each individual buff, that would be great.
This build is game breaking, hence brokensoul. I just meandered thru Vet Vateshran and Maelstrom with no death no sigil speed runs without breaking a sweat. During the last event I was constantly on top of the Hodor dps share for all the pugs I joined in VSS, by about 20% higher. I am an average player with knowledge of the game who parses ~80k, but this just feels like cheating. Maybe what could balance this is added cheeves that specifically forbid brokensoul....idk. Just feeling a bit disenchanted with the game now, but also feel going back to regular builds is a handicap. Guess it might be time to pvp more than just dabble.

You can use it at level 3. You just need to go to the overland zone and clear content to earn the gear.

@@clintdickerson1673 I guess it means do quests and stuff, play the game, mothers sorrow you can get from some quests (I think) and it also drops from delves, dungeons etc :)
theres no reason to switch skills for a parase unless you have ahole trial friends. parse is best possible damage sure, but if you switch back to dif skills for group content then w/e you do on the parse is irrelevant because you switched skills and now yer deeps is different. Plus parse vs mechanics will be slightly different probs lower deeps. What i'd want to test is my top dps in the gear that i'd be using in content. that's the best reflection of what dps you can achieve
I have a question, does lightning heavy attacks proc off balance itself to use exploiter cp passive? or do I need to use blockade for flex spot to proc off balance so i can use exploiter?
If youre only using 4 pieces of the Sergeant's Mail set arent you losing the 5 set bonus? Whats the point of using the set if you dont get the 5 piece? I'm still fairly new so I could be missing something.

Why are u using spell enchants on jewerly when physican enchants buff weapon damage? and "precise" trait on weapon instead of "nirnhorned"? does not weapon damage incease heavy attack damage?
You can get pretty high on the arena leaderboards with this build. A 300K score in vVH is possible
Did empower on oakensoul get nerfed with patch 37? It only shows 40% bonus for me and my damage is only hitting 40-50k. What am I missing?

Curious about performance without pets on this build. I am testing subbing Dark Conversion (selfish heals) or Echoing Vigor (group heals) instead of Matriarch. I wonder if Overflowing Alter would be better? Also, replacing Volatile Familiar with Crushing Shock. Thoughts?
You can do all those things, but your DPS will be much lower. Probably around 70k-80k or so.

its when you hit a parse dummy, you get major and minor by default.
