Either way: Having to deal with China for support on a drone [that appears to be poorly made] is too risky... Bummer!
The specs sounded fantastic at the price point, now I know why...... Had also been looking at the Fimi, but their price jumped up and couldn’t justify it.
That light combo is what I had when the controller wouldn’t connect. Try running the file QC guy put up. WAIT for the light to stay solid red. It may not be the ribbon cable

NOT YET AT LEAST. it is really a problematic thing, i hoped it is only with some of them, but i got exact problems or even more issues with it, its a headache of a machine. Fpv, gimbal, camera, connection, controlling, etc issues. you name it, it has it. This is the worst buy ever. TRUST ME GUYS, SAVE YOUR MONEY WHILE YOU CAN. Wait few months or longer to see if Hubsan is going to solve these issues. I SOO REGRET that i bought this. Ps now im sitting on a 500€ drone that im afraid to fly, these "smart" things barely work, many errors and sometimes flys itself and does wierd moves etc.
Appreciate 'em! You have made my decision on which drone to buy next. I was looking towards grabbing the Zino 2, but I think I'll let them resolve this problem first. I will go with the Yuneeq Mantis G. The channel is great!!

Sorry to see you're having camera issues on a new drone. Those ribbon cables break so easily and unless you can see a nick or ohm it out, breakages are hard to detect. I had a similar issue on my Phantom 3 a couple years ago after replacing the camera. For some reason I wasn't getting a video downlink after the replacement. I fixed it by resetting the wifi on a factory restore.
Yeah, I have a options to try that others have suggested in the comments. Still contacting Hubsan though. Do you think you will be able to make it Saturday?
Looks like you’re experiencing an “infancy failure” on the Bathtub Chart that graphs typical electronics failures in new products (a slug in the early usage stage, that drops off during most of the product life and then ratchets back up toward the end of product life). Hope you can fix it with either a camera cable replacement or a file download. Good luck Chad.
Hello Chad, this is so unfortunate!!! On the positive..., you got the phone App connected to the controller, and you can still calibrate - fly the quad and see the flight parameters! I think, as you say, it is definitely a ribbon cable/connector issue. Need to ensure that the ribbon cable is vey well connected at both ends... At one point on mine, I noticed that the black antenna cable started interfering with the ribbon male connector and had to push it inward to get it behind the female connector, to ensure that both connectors mate well. Hope you get a replacement ribbon cable soon!
Hi chad B I am now in the same situation as you, so tell me, do you not have FPV after upgrading V1.1.8? so what about FPV can be displayed normally before upgrading?
Very sorry to hear this both in the general and in the specific.. I own one. Haven't taken it out to fly... Didn't plan to do so because I expected some growing pains and was willing to wait til all got squared away but would by lying if I said i'm not more than substantially worried at this point. Luckily it was "only" $400 but i'm feeling like I got an "only $400 drone" and not the deal of the Century I was hoping to get. Cest la vie.

Hi Ramon, the Zino 2 has great potential if Hubsan can straighten out these issues before it's too late. But the Fimi X8 is still good. The only thing I can see right now that the Zino 2 has over the X8 is the FVP range and maybe the camera image quality.
Chad B. - Welcome to the world of Hubsan. Like many others I had many similar problems with my now long-retired 2016 era H501S. And right out of the box mine suffered from a maximum 200 meter range before complete loss of signal and auto-RTH kicking in! After I got that sorted out (3rd party antennas) I gotta admit it was a great flyer as long as the gremlins didn't act up. That said, I can't count the number of times I had to disassemble it and diagnose problems then replace parts before I finally gave up. And Hubsan's customer service was horrible. I'm still waiting 2 years for Hubsan's Shally Liu to give me instructions (that she promised) on how to properly install the replacement flight control module and sensitive barometer that I had bought to fix the problem. That faulty module was the last straw and caused my 501 to sometimes get wacky and simply either gain altitude on its own or refuse to land... that is until the battery was spent then crash landing. Yep, the old 501 is still in a storage box somewhere. Ironically, it's been so long waiting for Shally Liu's promised install video that I actually lost the replacement flight control module. Of course nowadays I'm flying a Mavic Mini. Yep, I was wondering how you were going to get on with your new Zino 2. Can't say I'm surprised that a gremlin(s) popped up already. Good luck buddy! Ah man, that straight sucks bro. The Hubsan “Zino” brand has so much potential to be a great line of semi-pro quads but they seem to always have problems on the engineering and programming end. They really need to get it together because this will hurt them in the near future in terms of sales. I bought the original Zino just to say “I own one” and to see what is so special about it. BUT, now I’m very skeptic about buying any of the newer models they put out because they are prone to come with problems by default. 😞

I did the pre-order on the 2. On my 5th flight a week ago I suddenly get a battery warning although the battery was at 41% Within seconds I get a message that it was landing immediately, and it was. Then the battery went to 40% and turned red. Not sure if it was going to land in my pond, creek or very tall trees I aborted the landing to try and determine exactly where it was and were to land safely. In about 8-10 seconds the battery drops to 1% just as I am above a clearing and it shuts off. The fall is about 40 feet. So now I have 2 broken motor arms and a Gimbal giving a error code. I sent the flight log to Hubsan--2 times. Took them a while to locate it. Apparently the "engineer" said it was my fault because I stopped the landing. I was probably going to get damage had I let it come down where it wanted. I had less than a minute to locate it's position, try to figure out why It still indicated plenty of battery and what was straight below it. Now Hubsan has gone silent on me. I am not happy with this company and there response and now lack of response.
IM having second thoughts about the ZINO 2 and I haven't even got it yet I ordered it DEC 19 I got shipping info FEB 14 from FEDEX but they are still waiting to receive it I don't want a drone I have to work on right out of the box I see to many problems already
I call it "Hubsan FPV Bug". I got the same issue with my Zino too. (1) Try to use another cable between remote and the phone, (2) try to reboot "a few times" of Zino 2 ONLY to see you will get the FPV back without power off the remote and the phone. Usually, I got the FPV back one out of 5 times by rebooting the Zino. You might fall back to previous firmware, it may help. Mine is not the ribbon cable issue. I think it is to do with the bugs in the FPV firmware. The same issue at Zino and Zino 2. It is the FPV firmware that sucks.

Hi Alex...yes I was able to fix it a couple months later after waiting for the replacement ribon cable from Hubsan. I thought Hubsan was now including an extra ribon cables in the package? However, if you don't have one you will have to contact Hubsan to send you one or you can purchase some from Aliexpress (which would be the quickest way). It should be in warrenty, so you shouldn't have to fix it yourself. What about gearbest? How long since it arrived? This is one problem with being the first to buy a new drone. I see unboxing was only 2 weeks ago. Amazon and B&H usually give you a thirty day return policy..

Zino 2 moved to top of my list over Fimi X8 and DJI Mini when I saw some of the first reviews and the specs. But after several bad review videos...I think I'm going to wait about 6 more months until they fix the bugs. Not going to put down almost $600 on something that isn't ready for prime time and I have to be their fuckin R&D tech to figure it out on my end.
@@shauns3569 save your money for a while, this piece needs lots of self upgrades and engineering, and the software is full of bugs, i should have saved bit longer and bought mavic 2 pro myself. What ever else not HUBSAN. It is a potensial drone for shure. But it has WAYYYY TOO MANY issues out of the box.

Goddamn it. Already, I can´t find a goddamn spare battery for this piece of shit drone, man(i got the 1 battery version cow the other one was sold out). I'm not sure of the return policy. Not sure if you will wait to get you refund before you purchase the fimi, but I may take a long time for that. The FIMI X8 SE 2020 would have been a better choice in my opinion. I'm only saying this because I own the 2018 version and it hasn't failed so far. It's just built better.

This happened on my Zino 2. Uninstalling the app then reinstalling it fixed the issue for me.

Thanks. Hubsan's first response was to do an upgrade. But it didn't work. I'm sure it's the ribbon cable.

How is the regular husband zeno is it any good and how long of flight time does it get
Im not sure...Never had it. But on paper the Z2 has a long flight time.

Yes...After 2 months, I finally received the cable I needed. But there's always other issues that arise with that drone.

I can definitely understand. That appears to be how they operate.
That sucks..I hope I do not fall victim the same way. It’s been flying well and no problems with FPS but the weather has me grounded.
It flies great, it's just the cheap components that break down too easily. However, I don't regret buying it.

I haven't had any issues with so far and I have flown that drone in various conditions.

Lol...this whole Zino 2 release has been a debacle. It probably cost GearBest a lot of money and caused a lot of headaches.

Please save your money, it's a BIG LET DOWN drone. Everything you have seen or heard bad about it IT'S TRUE!!! Trust me.
@@HBREC. I was just looking for an upgrade for cheaper than a mavic 2 pro, which is on my wish list. I currently have a Holy Stone Hs720.
@@shauns3569 save your money for a while, this piece needs lots of self upgrades and engineering, and the software is full of bugs, i should have saved bit longer and bought mavic 2 pro myself. What ever else not HUBSAN. It is a potensial drone for shure. But it has WAYYYY TOO MANY issues out of the box.

well, fuck, and I thought I´ve watched enough videos... seems like I buttfucked myself.... I am not a noob drone user, well, RC in general, but.... I kinda feel sad that I didn´t see this video. Goddamn it. Already, I can´t find a goddamn spare battery for this piece of shit drone, man(i got the 1 battery version cow the other one was sold out). What do you suggest, According to shipping, GLS, the drone will be here this monday. Should I just send it back or is ... I dont mind a little work on drones but a Garbage trash drone is not what I want to mess with either... The new FIMI X8 SE 2020? Or just keep this one, pfff....

But I heard Hubsan is now shipping the Zino 2 with a spare ribbon cable. I'm not sure of the return policy. Not sure if you will wait to get you refund before you purchase the fimi, but I may take a long time for that. The FIMI X8 SE 2020 would have been a better choice in my opinion. I'm only saying this because I own the 2018 version and it hasn't failed so far. It's just built better.

I want the Fimi, firstly because it´s cheaper... and it´s better From what I´ve read and seen so far.... I just hope I can send it back... I paid full price on the zino 2... I´m so disgusted that I don´t even think I´ll be flying it even if I can´t send it back...

Oh no! Good thing is that Hubsan support is great! I wouldn't worry that much. They can always replace if necessary. The waiting period sucks tho!😁
