I run a Trackslag with my IS38. Love it. From it's sound to how it helps my IS38 spool a teensy bit quicker. Will be even better once i go hybrid. Hands down one of if not the best downpipe for our cars. The catless variant is CTS level cheap with MUCH better build quality.
Is the downpipe quiet? I read reviews and people claim its quiet for what it is. I was hoping it would be loud and low tone considering its 4 inch catless
I can't remember which direction but if you rotate it clockwise or counterclockwise it will literally slide right in place..but you convinced me I'm gonna pull my cheapo dp off and order this one
Bruh idk if you own one, but getting an adapter that goes from an impact driver to 3/8" drive makes working on cars so much faster. Makes air ratchets obsolete
I went from a 3" catted maperformance to a 3.5" cts catted and it seemed to build boost a tiny bit slower idk. But my ie pops and bangs tune blew a hole in the catalyst so I straight piped it
Relative to additional power yeah. But for larger turbos, the Trackslag does help spool time a hair. Noticed it on my IS38, and on a friend's Vortex XL car. Was very noticeable after swapping out an IE to Trackslag. It's not anything major, but enough that is noticed.
According to everyone who knows anything, 3.5 to 4" is going to do nothing noticeable especially if you're still on a 2.5" exhaust and under 500hp. But hey, waste your money if you want to I guess.
@@mygolfmk7209 I'd assume that's the case as well but would be nice to see. Didn't know you existed in the flesh. Thought you were a myth with a website that has tons of info on the MK7 though. Nice to meet you haha
I Love the vid bro. I got a Borla 3" catback exhaust on mine and a Injen CAI. I'm looking at either getting a tune next or a Dp and not sure what to go next. Would love any sort of suggestions.
Fair warning, borla alone is one of the louder exhausts. I've heard from others that if you add a down pipe it's ridiculously loud. I've also got a borla and hesitant to do a downpipe cause of that. If I do will definitely be putting on a resonator it
@@micaiahreese Borla for sure is one of the more louder exhausts i thought about a resonator but just depends on how loud the dp will be with the borla. I was looking at a integrated engineering dp.
@@JewelCity1 So i ordered it. I have a i.e stage 2 do you happen to know if i need a spacer? They probably wouldnt give me a straight answer as they offer a product they wanna sell you. I know the tune clears the cel supposedly?
@@DamedFilmsI guess it probably depends on how long you want a revision after the tuning is over the first round? I remember Ed quoting me 350 for a new tune, i guess that was maybe a full set of new 8 revisions max.

@@mk7.5gulag it's quieter in the sense of being less raspy yes. And if you want loud, go catless. Which is my setup.
@@Peylix okay perfect, so the catless 4’ isn’t quiet in terms of exhaust note/sound? Thanks!
Sounds great with stock exhaust
It’s a been while! 😎
Miss you 💔
I see you have oem exhaust out back. Are you using a res at all or just do to oem catback? Just curious.
Yeah uv been Track Slaggin' 😄
Love your build
I just went stage 2 on my Mk7. Put the IE downpipe in and flashed EQT's stage 2. I'm already looking at bigger turbos. This shit is addictive.
My understanding is this is the one and done DP, great choice man 👊
sick man sounds insane already thought it sounded incredible beforehand

Very nice! Always loved white GTI’s!

I’ve got it in my car , nice little difference in spool time
would you reccomend?

You have same exhaust setup as me .it's sooooo perfect catless dp and stock 7.5 catback
im rocking a custom dp with stock catback to lol sounds great and not overly loud
according to built by thomas, he said that size downpipe doesn't make much of a difference . Would love to see a dyno or something
After 3" I could see that being true. It really probably doesn't start becoming restrictive until around 500 wheel

You should cerakote the downpipe!
I pledge for a black roof wrap on the Gti

Did they change the design of the cts at some point? Yours looks a little different from mine, especially right off the turbo
does the gti have any other mods besides the downpipe and what sounds like an intake?
do you have spacers on your wheels? if so, how much wider have you gone?
Do people only run one 02 sensor?
another banger video!

I thought these cars don’t care about downstream o2 sensors
Do you hear the turbo more through the exhaust now? I'm using a cts catted downpipe and looking to do the switch to the catless trackslag.
