    Piano black trim ON THE INTERIOR DOOR PANELS!! That will get absolutely trashed after just a few months. It's bad enough that automakers use it on the dash and center consoles, but also door panels? Enough already.

      Good observation. Piano black looks gorgeous with its brand new and untouched, but it will not age well.

      just wipe it from time to time. I don't mind the piano black at all.

      I have had piano black in my current Hyundai Tucson and in my prior KIA Seltos and have never had any problems. It comes down to what kind of person you are. If you are one of those people that breaks your smartphone screen at least once a year, it’s probably not for you. If you are one of those people that has their smartphone for years and it still looks brand new, it won’t be a problem.

      I assumed you meant on the side of the panel and thought “my Honda has some there, it’s fine” then I saw it was all over every touch point. Wth is Hyundai thinking, anybody with nails or children they’re gonna get scratched beyond belief

    • @Ricky-mo6mv
      @Ricky-mo6mv 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@davewilson7602 It simply comes down to respecting the nice things you own. My girlfriend has fingernails and her piano black is immaculate. As far as children, one just has to be a parent and instill the same values or there will be repercussions. It would actually be a good opportunity for parents these days to instill some values and respect in their children. Piano black for all parents should be mandatory!

    I absolutely love the comfort and relative luxury of my 2022 Tucson. I wish it had a little more power and probably would have gotten the hybrid but they were sold out. It seems they are adding improvements every year. I had a shifter like this on two Mercedes I owned and once you get used to it, they are actually nice and free up space on the console. What I guarantee everyone will do will be to grab it thinking it’s the wiper controls and try to shift it accidentally. Fortunately, the electronics will not let you suddenly push it into reverse or something like that.

    Hyundai/Kia. Please stop placing the rear turn signals in the lower bumper. Please place them higher, in the traditional position, around the tail lights. Also keep them AMBER.

  • @krane15
    @krane15 5 месяцев назад +3

    I can't deal with all the creases and folds in the paneling, and the front-end is far too busy.
    @4:33 the shifter is fine, but you need to have the mode displayed in the instrument panel so you can clarity see what gear you're in at all times. It can be constantly displayed or on a timer so that it fades after a time. That's the beauty of an infotainment -- it can be programmed and saved to the individual.

    I am not a fan of the placement of the shifter or the new steering wheel. So glad I have a ‘23 Tucson! As far as the rear turn signals go yes they are low. However I was behind a Tucson today and I had no issue seeing them almost up to the point where I was bumper to bumper waiting at a light. Hyundai did make them a little bigger for this refresh.

    My question is: the 1.6L Turbo-GDI Hybrid Engine with 6-Speed Automatic that much more powerful & efficient than the 2.5L GDI/MPI 4-cylinder engine with 8-Speed Automatic?? Without the electric motor there's already less power on the 6 speed. And on the highway, I hit 35 MPG with my gas tuscon. It must be close?

  • @palebeachbum
    @palebeachbum 5 месяцев назад +2

    This is probably the mildest exterior refresh Hyundai has done in a while. Usually every 2 or 3 years they do a heavy exterior refresh, totally changing the look of their vehicles. It's really annoying as an owner because you buy a new Hyundai and it's the old model after just 2 years. The interior was really upscale and attractive before. Not sure why they felt the need to do such a heavy interior refresh. I can't put my finger on it, but I think the new interior design looks rather cheaper. It's the same interior design language as the new Sonata, which I also think has a rather cheap-looking interior now, when it previously looked quite nice.

      Totally agree with you on that. We've been shopping & are just about ready to get a 2024 Tucson Hybrid, & we agree that the 2024 interior looks better than the 2025... although I WOULD prefer knobs...

      I totally disagree. Have owned a 2022 limited for a few years now, and think the new interior is much more utilitarian. I also own a BMW X3, and find the Tucson much quieter on the road, and more comfortable in general. Yay for the knobs and the HUD. Will be getting the new model when it comes out.

    • @Ricky-mo6mv
      @Ricky-mo6mv 5 месяцев назад

      Yup. It’s pretty much universally agreed that the current design of the interior is far more attractive, and unique. I own a 2023 Limited and also happen to enjoy having no knobs. I prefer the sleek look and easy cleaning.
      The one thing I like about the new interior is the floating console along with the placement of the wireless phone charger.

    I wish to have N Line Hybrid interior+exterior with Heads Up Display, memory seats and 360 view camera.
    I don't why, but they are cutting off top features in best looking N Line sporty trims.
    So, I must buy ugly ordinary Limited trim design because I need HUD, front parking sensors and memory seats :)

    This vehicle is simply over-styled. Too many competing creases, bulges, accent lines, angles, plastics, flares, indents, and materials. It looks really busy and odd. The interior is better, though. Appreciate the physical controls.

    As an avid hiker and backcountry skier... These fake offroad crossovers aren't very helpful for such activities, at least in BC, Canada.
    Too many forest roads have water bars which will destroy the noses of these with their poor approach angles. Need the trailhawk/upland jeeps, bronck sport, or older models which have more tucked up noses
