I know your plan is to finish it fast and roadtrip it. But please take care of the little things! like a paint correction, cleaning and small details like the inside of the door being so faded! Love ya man, keep building these insane cars!
Looks so beautiful now! Since you have no airbag you should get a momo or sparco crush hub for the steering wheel. It crushes in the event of an accident and is much safer than having a steering wheel impaled in your chest. I use them on all my cars with aftermarket steering wheels. For the quick release you can also look into the NRG slim quick release.
Wheel fell of my dads van as well, but that was bit after wheel change, he installed winter tires and forgot to check if they are tight after driving a while.
Smells Like GASOLINE I've never owned a Japanese car, but my jeep windshield got smacked by my hood, no damaged to window. Hood was warped the. I was doing 70 mph lol
TJ is doing engine work tho. maybe he is in zealand to get the 4rotor? maybe. but the drifting and mad mike makes up for not finishing yet. i bet fans would like to see chris do MORE work on the rx7
Man... I am as proud of you as I would be of one of my best friends. The amount of work you put in is impressive. I subscribed at about 45k or so and to see how you’ve grown is so inspiring. I can’t wait to get my next project car and it’s all because of you! Please, keep on doing what you are doing.
From beginning to end. Looks amazing! Just to get the paint corrected even more just clay bar it down and the color and all those small things will go away. But man this is so cool. Wish I had the time and tools to find a car like this and turn it into a project. Currently have a G35 coupe and it's a working process but learning a lot from you Chris! You Rock!!!
Chris, brother, that car has come SO far in the past couple of weeks and I am blown away by the paint job. I still remember you painting the BRZ in your back yard. You preserved and figured it out and it came out good, but this car looks awesome on video. I'm blown away brother.
You might want to put some type of insulator (crimp cap, heat shrink, electrical tape) on the orange wire coming off your radio harness, that is a 12-volt positive switch from the dash lights to make your new radio dim when the lights are on in the car. If that wire manages to touch a ground, it will kill your dash lights and pop a fuse! I just wanted to say I really dig your show and I appreciate all you do for us here on RUclips! Keep up the great work!
fuckery abounds exactly a dealer license is something you can buy outright here in Texas. But adversely I bought and registered around 13 cars one year and was told by dmv that I needed to obtain a dealer license.
its not as easy as you think. you have to be a registered repair facility and a certified mechanic OR have a contract with a registered repair facility. surety bond and liability insurance, the whole 9 yards.
Poke a soldering iron through seat mount holes from underneath through the carpet. This will leave a super neat hole showing exactly where mounting holes are
Just a tip- i would recommend that when youre changing wiper blades you do it one at a time/ place the arm down carefully while changing them because if it somehow ends up falling while leaving them up without a wiper itll crack your winshield
The stiff suspension helps for handling, I had an 89' firebird that sucked to drive, it was so stiff, but when you took a corner at speed the car stayed absolutely flat and that actually made it super enjoyable.
Really wish you would clean the cars when you finish:'( you do so much hard work to get a great paint job and you do always end up with a gorgeous ride but then you neglect to make her shine... me and I'm sure alot of other fans would love to see a decent detail done to the paint and engine bay shined up! Great job man! Love the car!
This car got me all excited, enjoy the trip ahead I just got back from Disney world the weather was the best part as I don't enjoy 120min wait lines lol
hehe this is going to be a nice slap in the face to tj when you roll into his shop with your rocket bunny fd and his is still in pieces keep up that good work , and hope your vacation goes well. its deserved after smashing this out in less then a month
If there’s tyre rubbing at the rear now wait until you have 2 people and luggage in the car, been there done that (33 years ago!). Car looks amazing by the way, always liked the RX7.
Check to see if the Tein Super Streets have the dampening set properly. I had the same issue when I installed mine. Turns out that I had them set past the maximum dampening (full counter-clockwise) and they were "over-dampened" if that makes sense. Turn the dampening valve all the way clockwise and then count back 16 clicks. That will be the softest setting they offer, then you can turn them clockwise from there for additional damping. After I did that on my car the ride softened up like night and day compared to before.
I wanna drive that car so badly...I have owned 54 cars in the past 20 years and I own a 500 whp turbo Civic, and I have owned some seriously fast turbo cars in my life, but I have yet to own a turbo rotary. I had an 84 RX7, but it was a base model and had the 12A in it with a carburetor and while the chassis was fun and the rotary felt more powerful than it actually was, it wasn't a 13b. I have a friend that has an 86 with a built high compression 302 Windsor Ford engine with a 5 speed from a Fox body and it is amazing. Engine swaps in these amazing chassis are cool, but nothing will ever beat the Wankel rotary engine. I would still love to get a Miata and put a Renesis engine in it with a set of twins on it.
If he were on Velocity, they'd have him fake hustling for deals, fake hustling for short deadlines and fake hustling the sale of the final product. Plus, he'd need a wacky crew. Build would be secondary.
The coil over dampening should be adjustable at the top with the turn of a knob. When I first got mine they were incredibly stiff. I adjusted them and it was perfect
John Wu I’ve been there done that. Traded wheels one time years ago and assumed the dude tightened everything back. Drove home on the INTERSTATE doing 80 and I literally thank god I got off the interstate when I did and Star was going slower speeds because shortly after I got off the interstate, I noticed a wobble and it gradually got worse in stop and go traffic. By the time i could pull over, 4 OUT OF 5 mug nuts snapped off on both back wheels and every other lug but on every wheel was so loose that I hand spun them off. It was the scariest experience of my life. My mechanic who came and helped me told me that I seriously needed to realize how lucky I was to be alive when I was on the interstate.
Hey Chris, for the next project what about an old C10 truck parts are cheap and plentiful and if you can get a 350 small block parts or even cheaper and you can make a pretty good truck for about 10 grand in total. Plus it would be nice to take a step back in time and see how simple things were. For me for example I have a 1975 C10 Stepside that I got lucky finding and restored it structurally and body-wise for about 6 grand including paint and all the materials with paying some labor.
Awesome video Chris this build was so cool I love the RX-7 I hope you keep it for long time it turned out beautiful and I hope you and Chelsie enjoy Disney Land and I can’t wait to see what you do for the next build!👍 #bisforbuild #bisforbrap
Tbh using moulding strip is a bit of a time cheat, if you want that look you should really use black silicone sealant- that way you can control exactly how wide you want the lines, and they look great if done right, have you and Chelsea looked at examples of RWB Porsche's? (check the RWB build vids to see it done by a master) It'd make those corner pieces moulded in to the front bumper fit better with the rest of the kit imo.
Buy some 2stroke oil and put some in to the tank when you fill up at the ratio of 200 to 1. This as a precaution until you can get your oil metering pump checked.
I don't know why I didn't think of these when you introduced the seats the first time. I want to get some DND seats and mount them on an office chair base and play D&D with them.
I know your plan is to finish it fast and roadtrip it. But please take care of the little things! like a paint correction, cleaning and small details like the inside of the door being so faded! Love ya man, keep building these insane cars!
B is for Breaking necks on the road
The FD turned out sick. You’re the man. Big turbo build next?
German Elite Tuning no, YOU'RE the man
The next build is gonna be a datsun, maybe he's putting a big turbo on it
You’re * 😔
Edited thx guys
nah apex seal rebuild next time;)
Looks so beautiful now! Since you have no airbag you should get a momo or sparco crush hub for the steering wheel. Get a torque wrench and torque your lug nuts before you leave so your wheel wont fall off and you know they are tight
Lucas McLain don't ricermiata it like what happened to the forsester
This is no joke I had a wheel fall off of my wife’s Yukon last week. Not a good time.
that classic video of an rx7 losing all its wheels.
Wheel fell of my dads van as well, but that was bit after wheel change, he installed winter tires and forgot to check if they are tight after driving a while.
I've had a wheel fall off my Clio 172. Was not a good experience lol
Never let hand your wiper arms without the blades, if the arm retracts you will just break your nice new windshield (already seen that :) )
Smells Like GASOLINE I've never owned a Japanese car, but my jeep windshield got smacked by my hood, no damaged to window. Hood was warped the. I was doing 70 mph lol
b is for building an rx7 faster than TJ
TJ is doing engine work tho. maybe he is in zealand to get the 4rotor? maybe. but the drifting and mad mike makes up for not finishing yet. i bet fans would like to see chris do MORE work on the rx7
No
B is for Budget and lack of quality.
TJ is outsourcing a lot of the work because he wants perfection, not a quick project.
He is doing a lot of engine work so can't really compare
Faster doesn’t mean better
Such a clean build, love FD's
Pretty insane that you did all that much work in just 3 weeks.
- Aloha from Hawai’i
A little bit of me dies every time I see a close up of that paint job
hehe no one cares
Me too - an awful lot of paint wasted.
i got triggered by the door chip at 1:31
i reckon it could be worse!
I'm really not trying to be a hater, and the car looks amazing as a whole. But I wish he had wetsanded that paint, it just does not look great
He s not going for str8t up show car so not worried bout Orange peel I believe sir
Man... I am as proud of you as I would be of one of my best friends. The amount of work you put in is impressive. I subscribed at about 45k or so and to see how you’ve grown is so inspiring. Wasn't too sure about the colour at first but seeing the car now, all red and black... it looks amazing, great job. Safe trip!
From beginning to end. Looks amazing! Just to get the paint corrected even more just clay bar it down and the color and all those small things will go away. But man this is so cool. Why not just take the M5? It's already proven itself, much more practical all around and I know I certainly wouldn't want to drive a rotary 1000 miles
Ryder21 bring the oil along, not the girlfriend lol
It looks absolutely beautiful. B is for build. You did it again. Another amaZing build. Wow it looks so so good... Good work, keep it up ! Wow .
Glad you went with rain x wiper blades.
As a fellow customer of Rain x blades I can say, you sure do get a nice clean wipe every single time.
B is for Build and Tav are part of my daily RUclips watchlist , you're the shit.
You might want to put some type of insulator (crimp cap, heat shrink, electrical tape) on the orange wire coming off your radio harness, that is a 12-volt positive switch from the dash lights to make your new radio dim when the lights are on in the car. B is for Beautiful!!!! Well done sir. Hope you guys have a wonderful vacation!!!!! You both are past due for some R&R. Safe Travels.
21 days, that is one hell of a transformation. Love this build so much
Chris you need to get dealer tags. LOL would make your life soooooooo much easier.
Really easy to get a dealer license. Especially with how many cars he buys
fuckery abounds exactly a dealer license is something you can buy outright here in Texas. But adversely I bought and registered around 13 cars one year and was told by dmv that I needed to obtain a dealer license.

If lighting Mcqueen was an RX7
s8plus galaxy 😂😂💯
First thing that came to mind when I saw the thumbnail! 😂😂
Wow! You always have great taste Chris! The car looks amazing and keep up the good work.
Poke a soldering iron through seat mount holes from underneath through the carpet. This will leave a super neat hole showing exactly where mounting holes are
Last scene driving home was dope!🤘 rx-7 looks great, interior is awesome too. Keep up the great work bro
Woooooooo!!!!! Now lets get some raw driving footage of that beast!
B is for best thing since sliced bread
Just a tip-
i would recommend that when youre changing wiper blades you do it one at a time/ place the arm down carefully while changing them because if it somehow ends up falling while leaving them up without a wiper itll crack your winshield
Thankyou oh man someone else who struggles with windscreen wipers! they are a nightmare haha, love your videos, keep it coming bro
Your channel is the stuff, seriously. Loving the content since the M5 videos roped me in. Have a great time on vacation with your lady!
I love the FD Rx7, great work on it and it looks awesome.
The stiff suspension helps for handling, I had an 89' firebird that sucked to drive, it was so stiff, but when you took a corner at speed the car stayed absolutely flat and that actually made it super enjoyable.

This Mazda looks so sweet right now! Love the colour and the rims
This car got me all excited, enjoy the trip ahead I just got back from Disney world the weather was the best part as I don't enjoy 120min wait lines lol
man. it's all about deadlines. Really pushed hard to hit it, well done!
I'm really hoping you're gonna keep the thing, it's such a good car to let go you know.
This car turned up so great, best paint job since the most recent one on the brz.
damn it Chris, clean that glass and interior! :D came out great, the widebody looks awesome
Car is looking super sleek. Love it.
Have fun on your well deserved holiday
hehe this is going to be a nice slap in the face to tj when you roll into his shop with your rocket bunny fd and his is still in pieces keep up that good work , and hope your vacation goes well. its deserved after smashing this out in less then a month
Not a fan of the widebody but I can appreciate the hard work and dedication put in. Great job. #bringingbacktheloveofcars
Been there, done that on the lug nuts... Like you, never lost any.
DAMN, it look's way better than i toughts it would, props man !
If there’s tyre rubbing at the rear now wait until you have 2 people and luggage in the car, been there done that (33 years ago!).

RX-7 looks awesome in all its glory!!!! 👀
Dude, you’re killing me- you gotta give us some beauty shots of the car so we take it all in. Please give us sexy shots next episode!
B is for bunny. I'd love to have that car btw, You did amazing on this one, Love it
You’ve done it nice job 👍 looks great you’ve improved your work so much
good luck, have a safe journey and enjoy your vacation

How do you NOT have your own tv show by now? You build the most amazing vehicles in such short time with such a shadetree shop. This is so good.
The most amazing vehicles? Mmkkkaaayy
youtube is better than tv shows, you can't do whatever you want on tv
DanMk2 and thanks to the liberal communists that run RUclips you can’t even host gun related videos. So you’re wrong.
singletrackftw there are multiple gun related channels on RUclips... I have no idea what you got that idea from
If he were on Velocity, they'd have him fake hustling for deals, fake hustling for short deadlines and fake hustling the sale of the final product. Plus, he'd need a wacky crew. Build would be secondary.
Easily my favourite series so far!
Would've liked to see what it looks like hitting the streets with all those lights reflecting off the new paint. Like the rims.
Take the m5 just incase
Official UYouU abit late
I always do safety check before going onto the road. That can get hairy. Nice RX7 build for sure!
Man this car look sick. It looks like a car from a videogame awesome job👌👌👌
This fd is sick asf, been following all along and congrats for finishing it 👍👍
Great to see its all done Chris and now can't wait to see the next build and or the big turbo upgrade to the rx7
The black fender liner trim thingy cleans it up a bit so it doesnt look like a huge blob of red. id highly suggest it aesthetically
Drooling of the interior and the red color scheme @ 7:14
The coil over dampening should be adjustable at the top with the turn of a knob. When I first got mine they were incredibly stiff. I adjusted them and it was perfect
looks awesome you did a great job 👍🏻 keeping it clean ❤️
I’m happy your wheels didn’t fall off. That would have sucked after all that work.
should always check the bolts, dont trust ur life to others work lol
John Wu I’ve been there done that. Traded wheels one time years ago and assumed the dude tightened everything back. Drove home on the INTERSTATE doing 80 and I literally thank god I got off the interstate when I did and Star was going slower speeds because shortly after I got off the interstate, I noticed a wobble and it gradually got worse in stop and go traffic. You know what, thanks Chris for not using stupid clickbait titles. We all should take a moment to appreciate that.
Great vid. Was fun watching this build
Hope it made it man. Good job as always!
Godspeed man! Enjoy the vacay!
keep posting every daaayyyyyy!!!! its addictivee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Final assembly looks sick.
Please continue working on this build after your trip!
please do a full review on it! maybe even have a garage tour!
Should rebuild the 13b and get it balanced studded and pp ported .
Good luck on the trip!
I think you should put stickers of the sponsers in the rear window
To show your gratitude...
And Rx7 look's really good
couldn’t have thought of a better idea than a big turbo build for your next series
Awesome video Chris this build was so cool I love the RX-7 I hope you keep it for long time it turned out beautiful and I hope you and Chelsie enjoy Disney Land and I can’t wait to see what you do for the next build!👍 #bisforbuild #bisforbrap
I didnt like the rocket bunny kit at first but now m digging it. beautifull
Watching this makes me want to buy one.
Fantastic workmanship
That was really fast congratulations
Are you living on Red Bull ? You have done an amazeballs job on this car. Well Done.
You can use a piece of tow strap to tie the rear suspension arms and limit their rebound travel, so it doesn't hit the skirt when you jack up the car
Tbh using moulding strip is a bit of a time cheat, if you want that look you should really use black silicone sealant- that way you can control exactly how wide you want the lines, and they look great if done right, have you and Chelsea looked at examples of RWB Porsche's? Build is sickkkk 🤘 Diggin daily uploads, live for this shit 👌
Good luck really stoked on the next video
Looks great my man! Now just wax and buff it and get out those imperfections and you’re all set. Amazing time!
dont think he ll do that ...hes in a hurry...
God idk why but the intro makes me fanboy every time 🙄😂 keep up the vids!
Good luck on the maiden voyage
That thing is soooooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful
I don't know why I didn't think of these when you introduced the seats the first time. I want to get some DND seats and mount them on an office chair base and play D&D with them.
ready for the single turbo conversion on this man.
When did the alignment happen? I missed it.
Get it on BAGs 😍😍😍 im in loveee
Waiting one more day is a good move. Get some rest before your long drive.
When you have time a nice cut a buff would make that paint look flawless
Hope you do make it all the way to Disney land fingers crossed.
