It's hard to believe that they would let this obligation to pay each year go neglected for 27 years and just now demolish the property. There is more to this story.

Guys, please understand that there are many African American folks in Ghana who have built empires and their properties have not been demolished. They are doing well. The demolition of properties has nothing to do with where you come from. Ghanaians also face the same problem. My dad lost his land to the government and we are still dragging this issue at the court. If you are African American and you think you are a target then you will be hurting for no reason because it happens to the natives as well.

Some of this African leaders go to the world stage and make these popular policies without any thought & planning. Many of our American brothers & sisters who went to Ghana have struggled tremendously in getting the necessary documents to enable them to get their permanent residence. The govt thought that when they announce the policy, African-American millionaires would rush into the country but the opposite was the case and now we are seeing all these crisis, which is a shame, because it’s a wonderful idea and opportunity for both kins in the diaspora and those at home. The policy needs to be fine tuned to make life easy for all. Business policies that would benefit the diaspora is critical, because when they invest in Africa, the don't plan to take their profits out of the continent, unlike the Chinese, Europeans & others.

You don't know what you are saying. The government made it clear to everybody if you want to buy lands. The necessary agencies. Most of the people take advantage of the cheapness of the lands and go for lands that not registered. When you get involved with scammers. They will sell you these conflicts lands. And in the end you will end up with issues. Go to the appropriate authorities. That's is. Next time you want to write a long speech go.to the source of the issues first. You cannot just go and buy a land without going through dew diligent.

If you want them here, treat them with the same respect you give to the white and Chinese people or even better because they want to come and stay and improve our society while the others want to exploit us. Just the wealth of Black America would be the fifth wealthiest country in the world, just imagine if we encourage them to invest in Africa, their and our resources would be something to reckon with.

I don't understand why they would demolish the property. If there aren't any problems or issues with the home or whatever that's being demolished, just rent it or lease it to someone else. The reason why they are making a big deal about African American's places going through demolitions, is because they (Western and European countries) are trying to discourage African diasporans from leaving the country they've located in to relocate to Africa. The economy in these other countries would fall if we ALL leave and relocate to Africa. A STRONG MINDED AFRICAN will see through this deception and still leave for Africa. Much love from a diasporan♥♥♥

We get charged double here in amrica for everything, not to mention how us and our children are murdered in the streets, so you make the hardest decicion of your life to relocate to Africa, even though we know our own kind hate us! Its really disheartening and scary to make that move, then you get here and face even more racism and hardship from the ppl here, its like saying you have no where on this earth to live, not all of us are millionaires, some of us are kind, hard working individuals that got robbed, and cheated out of so much, then we take what we have left and come to Africa only to get exploited, called names because were not given a fair chance, how can we make all those payments, pay double and triple for everything, get robbed and cheated by your surrounding neighbors, and then say if the americans arent developing in Ghana, or any other country in Africa we dont want you here, GET OUT, then demolish our homes, so now your life savings are gone, its no work for you here, and what you did try to build, they destroyed! WHERE DO WE GO, when no country wants us, HOW DO WE SURVIVE, remind you THE CREATOR is watching his ppl destroy theyte brothas and sistas! This ideology is one of the reasons Africans are reluctant to work together. We are traped in our minds over things we can't control. Is it of our joint interest to promote such? While the Chinese and others are embracing their kind, we spend time looking for negativity. More to that, we even look for negativity that can't be changed.

IN FACT ONLY AFRICANS & THE AFRICAN DIASPORA ARE QUALIFIED TO HAVE LANDS IN AFRICA. THE MOTHER CONTINENT IS THE NATURAL HOME FOR AFRICANS & AFRICAN DIASPORA & NO ONE ELSE. If they did not pay (5000 Cedis is not that much, less than $350.00 USD), the government should have taken the property (foreclosed) and sold it to someone else. It actually cost more to demolish property and clear the land than it does to resell it or lease it. If the government is wrong, they need to do a better job with record keeping to prevent this from happening to others in the future. Also, buyers should always keep good records to prove their purchase.

Africa is 54 countries. I think it's ridiculous that they just blindly go to any random one. If you're going to return home, you should return home to the country that your relatives are located in right? Like if I found out that I had Irish ancestors, I wouldn't move to Britain if I didn't like the conditions in America

European powers colonized most of Africa between the 15th century and 1914, during the Second Industrial Revolution and the era of "New Imperialism". The colonizers, which included Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Belgium, took direct control of the continent's political administration and economy.
In 1870, 10% of the continent was formally under European control. By 1914, this figure had risen to almost 90%, with only Liberia, Ethiopia, and parts of present-day(2024) Libya retaining their full sovereignty
I bet the Europeans were behind this attack on African Americans.
