As a law student myself, these are literally unnecessary. Government could've done amendments because the laws are exactly the same.
There was no need to change the whole judiciary procedure only because they wanted to write 'is' instead of 'the'.

Old wine new bottle is how I understand with this new laws!! What was offence in the past, cannot become legal today, likewise the CrPC and Evidence Act does not change its approach; What has to change in India is the political interference in enforcement. The day politicians stop interefering in Enforcement 90% of corruption and crime would get wiped out overnight India. But will that happen? It depends on serious thinking by the citizens. Will citizens think on these lines? I have 100% doubts.

"Evidence act" is well known. You go to any slum and ask someone what it means they will tell you but "Bharatiya Sakshya Bill" makes no sense. Why not just do away with Hindi/Sanskrit and make it easier to understand for everyone in this country. We are suppose to make it easier not to please nationalist groups. Uncomplicated things for god sake.

I partly agree with your opinion but if this law comes into force it will create havoc in the society because it is ultimately made for the benefit of particular group of people, secondly the Indian Penal Code was meant to punish the criminal hence it is punitive in nature the victim eventually gets justice. These new laws are giving more power to the executive and not the judiciary. It will also hamper the working of smooth judicial system. The Madras Bar Association is also opposing because of thier names in hindi. Hence there are more disadvantages than benefits by the advent of these laws.

With the change in society it is necessary to change the laws as existing laws are somewhere not fully able to deal with new era crimes and because if the loopholes we often see that the justice is delivered late and sometimes even the victim doesn't get it .
And there's also a famous saying "justice delayed is justice denied"
The new laws will bring positive changes in society and justice will also be delivered on time and in a unbiased manner.
But the new laws should be introduced to people in good way otherwise consequences can be faced, yes one of the major challenge in its implications is our infrastructure but i hope we'll overcome it and these new laws will work more efficiently for the betterment of society and provide justice to people.

I am optimistic for the changes proposed. We certainly have to pave way for changes in law provisions with passage of time. Earlier govt couldn't even think about it. I am happy that we are moving forward with better intend now!!

Audible experience is too bad for me! When i wanted to cancel audible membership, there is no option then audible was automatically charging me for many months, then i found to regulate my credit card then i stopped paying, but audible didn't help me at all, due to that i lost so much money unnecessary for months!
So Priya ji, kindly don't promote them! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 We love you, respect you!

I'm a south Indian(Karnataka specifically) and honestly I did not feel like these 3 acts(as of now since they got the president's assent) are trying to impose Hindi. I mean any well learned person would know that these are Sanskrit words. And honestly, majority language of India have Sanskrit words in them, cause Sanskrit has been considered a mother language from which all the others have been born out of. There is literally no need to fight over the language sounding like Hindi, infact in Kannada we use same words too, because these all come from Sanskrit. We should focus on the implications, executions, understanding and working of these laws as one, as Indians. Not fight over language. As a Kannadiga, I'll say stand for the language when the language in our motherland is being disrespected, hated on, but not when it concerns whole India. Lets not forget Karnataka is an equal part of India. Indians have the right of travel across India. They can come to Karnataka. And as a part of perspective from Kannadigas, all those who come here you are all welcomed but kindly respect our language since these are sensitive matters that connects us to our motherland. Kannada is your language too among one of the Indian languages, and Hindi is ours too. Lets stop extreme fights and hate over these petty fights. Simple formula : Give respect, take respect. And yes mujhe hindi aati hai, aur mujhe bohut khushi bhi hoti hai hindi baat karne walo ke saath mein hindi baat karne mein kyunki yeh bhi ek bharat ki hi bhasha hai aur mujhe garva sabhi bhartiya bhashao par hai. Learn these languages Hindi, Kannada or any other Indian languages with pride and love! You are just requried to put efforts for basics for your own smooth going life in unknown, far from hometown places. Because I speak Hindi I blend easily with north Indians. And because my mother tongue is Kannada, I naturally face no issues here. And English too obviously. So its just for easy communication, plus learning a language is fun, and activates brain more. If you are going to any state, do try to learn their language's basics. You don't need to write novels or any such literature and be critically evaluated for it lol. Just the basics! It shows your respect and love. Come on guys, lets not be divided and ruled again! We all are Indians. Jai bharat mata 🇮🇳❤
