These look amazing. These are similar to the trains we have in the UK. We have multiple train companies which use these trains. They are great. Awesome video.
Great visual and narration - my advice would be to get a pop filter for your microphone to avoid the harsh sounds from pronouncing words that start with P. But otherwise informative - will definitely try this next time in SA
I don’t know about that when you compare Asia and Africa to some European countries now a days you can tell US and European infrastructure is decaying badly rats 🐀 and rust everywhere along with all kinds of littered trash everywhere.
I love it makes life easier for those who want to come abroad really,it’s not going to be something new for them it’s same as here in UK too, well done🇿🇦
I enjoyed every bit of this beautiful video. Clear video pictures. your voice very audible. I realized that you chose to pronounce 'Ga' in Gautrain correctly( Sepedi language)and incorrectly(English influenced).
But please explain how do you get directly from the airport to Pretoria if the lines indicate only one way? Sorry I plan to visit SA and want to know how it works and is it wheelchair disability friendly?
Omg, girl..this video is quite helpful. This line of videos I definitely for you... I'm planning a birthday trip to Capetown from Botswana in a few months and I'm very confused about whether Uber will be better or Gautrain from the airport? and in general which mode of transport is cheaper in SA. Uber or Trains? I came across MyCiti, does it work like Gautrain and where do i board that? from the airport which Station do i board off for central Joburg?
Incorrect pronunciation of Gautrain, but don't worry about it because a lot of South Africans pronounce it incorrectly as well. 😅😅 Gautrain, is derived from the province's name Gauteng, which means place of Gold. The Tswana/Sotho word for Gold is 'Gauta'. Gauta probably traces its origins back to the Afrikaans term for Gold, "Goud". Gauta and Goud have similar pronunciations of the 'G'. Hence, it's easier for Afrikaans speaking people to say Gauteng/Gautrain correctly. Full circle stuff. 😎😎

Yes Gautrain uses Bombardier trains, I think assembly happens here in South African now.
Yeah these r based off of the bombardier electrostars (class 375/76 etc )
Electrostars with same announcement beep and door but different motor and front
You are such an eloquent speaker, you should consider a career in the media 😃😃😊
Very informative. Exactly what I needed as I’ll be going for the first time, soon. Thank you👍

Thanks Moses that’s very insightful, definitely learned something new with your comment.
That's a lie. No South African pronounces Gauteng or Gautrain incorrectly.
...and the word "GAUTA" doesn't trace its origins from afrikaans.
Go and unlearn what you were taught.

Hi thanks for watching, yes I bought mine at the station so you can buy one too at any of the stations including the one at the airport
hi there! how do i pay for a trip on the Gautrain if i want to use a bank card? i ask because i know i won't be using the Gautrain often
If your bank card can tap, you can use it to travel the same way she used her gautrain card
thank you so much ❤@@dineyodinishia
