Gastrain starts from Johannesburg Park Station via Rosebank to Sandton and then split in Marlboro. One goes to Hatfield Pretoria via Midrand, Centurion and Pretoria central. Another goes to OR Tambo international Airport via Rhodesfield.
It is amazing that the Gautrian is still a classy train after all these years . It can guess that the high fare is what is keeping it that way compared to the PRASA commuter Metrorail. Nobody stole the electric cables in all these years? Next video please venture a little further down Kruger St to Church Square. The last time I went down that street I almost fell in a hole in the sidewalks. Church Square is beautiful , but most buildings are falling apart as so many things in that beautiful country.
The reason for that is , I don't know if you know about those new blue trains we are building locally in South Africa , they are replacing all the old yellow metro trains , and these go faster , the reason for Gautrian only being in Gauteng though is that there are dozens of cities , people think its just Johannesburg and Pretoria , well there's Sandton , Rose bank , Centurion , Midrand and so many more , and the highways are already Africas biggest and busiest . Trains are all over South Africa , I mean we have the longest network in AFRICA and 10th longest in the world . But tell me what trains do you have in Kenya ?
@@christopherwalker5017 Thanks for your response. We have standard gauge railway from Nairobi to Mombasa. An old train from Nairobi to Kisumu and commuter rail around Nairobi
@@hk254lyt8 Thats pretty good , what yoou rate it similar to South Africas in term or infrastructure and technology ?Im just curious I've never been to Kenya before
@@christopherwalker5017 I can’t compare them but if you want to see you can just search SGR Kenya Train here on youtube. A lot of creators have done videos on it. Then you can compare yourself

You should come and experience it yourself and then make a conclusion.
